My boys and I had a great time!! It was our children's first experience and we couldn't keep them off of the track; with all of those rc's drifting away. Private parking lot is available, the owner is very chill and laid back and most importantly knowledgable about the items you need..  Great spot for those rc enthusiasts!!

5 stars and I haven't even bought anything yet haha

The staff here are super helpful they will give you insight on all your RC needs, they will let you know off hand a good starter RC plane or heli or car, to be honest they let you know if your gonna go big start with the rc trainer for flying planes or heli's this is a must, took it out for a spin crashed every plane I tried, also crashed every heli I tried, better crash it on the flight simulator then crash it in real life and then be out few hundred on parts if not on a whole new plane or heli.

Again the staff is very helpful inside they also have a race track for rc cars majority of the folks that came in have rc drift cars all kinds, body styles ranged in nissans 370 body type, few skyline body types, one huge truck they kind that haul that you see on freeways and another with a mercedes older body type

two rows for rc planes another for rc car parts and on the main desk they have built rc planes ready to fly, heli's ready to fly and one gas rc car that look like it was being worked on.

    prices $$ moderate price
    service ***** excellent service
ambiance **** rc shop lots of things to play with in here.

    Short:
Nobody else there, guy behind the desk was too busy surfing the web to even say hello. If you Google this place, you'll see several more reviews like this.

    Go elsewhere.

    Long:
About 1PM Tuesday afternoon I find this place that looks like an abandoned building... dead grasses, weeds, chunks of broken concrete... not a welcoming look to say the least. I like to support local shops and since you can't judge a book by it's cover,  I went in.

Nobody there but me and the guy at the register/PC. Perfect! I can chit-chat, look at the kits, etc. I wait for the guy at the counter to say something... look at a few more things... phone rings, he answers it, I go look for what I came for: some replacement parts, fuel, a new engine for my current truck and most-likely a new buggy or street car. Hmm. He's done talking... I look over; he's on some RC website by the look of it. Okay... well maybe he just needs to finish something before he forgets, I know how that goes! :)

I spend a few more minutes looking over my options... he's still on the web site and has yet to say "Hello", "Be right with you"... make eye contact... nothing. There's no way he didn't know I was there. I spend another minute or so looking at parts, leaning in to see some of the smaller text. Nothing.

    Headed home to shop online.

There are very few good R/C model shops on the peninsula, but Allspeed Hobbies is one of the best hobby shops around for car, airplane, and helicopter parts. They have an indoor track for the street cars for you to practice on, and there are regular racing events happening all the time. There are lots of airplane kits for traditional builders, and plenty of ARF and beginner planes and helis available. Wes runs a good shop and will do what it takes to get the parts you need quickly if he doesn't have them in stock.

I am a regular here, and would definitely recommend stopping here if you want to get into Radio Control hobbies.

Got my 3rd Heli from AllSpeed and the Owner is honest and very knowledgeable.  You can tell he is die hard RC fan and hobbiest.    His prices are very reasonable not overpriced.  I can see where it could take time to get service since he was the only person at the store but he does give you his 100% honest opinion and personal suggestions when he attends to you.

The owner is cool and is very knowledgeable in the area.  I live in SF and would come out of my way for this place.  When I have a question for WES, he is detailed and goes through your options to make your vehicle running again.

I just wish they would invest in a sign or a banner so people can see that there is a store right there in that area.  I think you can have a sign made for the price of a set of HPI Savage tire and wheels.  Or maybe someone can hijack the old one from MILLBRAE?  It's still oddly sitting there after all these years.

This store has many varieties of RCs you name it, boats, airplanes, helicopters, drifters, off-roads, miget cars, rock crawlers, etc. The store also have a track on carpet, but there is no off-road track. If the store owner don't have the parts or the type of RC you wanted, then he'll order it online and have it ship over here in a few days. Remember there is only one person working in the store so expect to wait awhile if he has other customers to deal with.

This place is great!  I love it here.  Wes is the man.  I like going here because he won't try to sell you a part or car just to make a buck.  He takes the time to help out each and every customer.  It's just like a good ol mom & pop shop.  Not like the big chain hobby stores.  If you like planes, there's a Flight Simulator on computer for customers to test their skills, an indoor track for Kyosho 1/28 mini-z, you can also run the R. Shack x-mods but you'll get smoked by the mini-z guys and girls.

I'm a mini-z guy and got back into the scene about a month now, and can tell you that all the racers in the store are very helpful and friendly.  Come by if you wanna have some good fun!

    Support your local Hobby Shop.

5of5 If i could rate them higher i would!

Awesome Place, Good Prices, GREAT Service.
    (Very Knowledgeable and Very Helpful)

Recently received an RC car, and since i know nothing about them i figured i will probably need some parts to get me going. I decided to look for a hobby store locally but found nothing worthwhile.

Then i came to all speed hobbies in South SF, explained i know nothing about RC stuff but recently received and RC car. he was very helpful in explaining my options for the car and what i would need to get it running. he also gave me information on everything i asked about, as well as answering tons of questions i had.

He even jumped my real car when the battery died because i was browsing so much. (dog in car, A/C on full, crappy battery)

I will definitely be shopping here again

Its a little hard to see so Google maps the street view so you don't pass it like i did.

When I first walked into the place it looked a bit run down, but the amazing customer service given here really stood out to me. They knew I wouldn't be buying anything, but they never gave me any attitude; instead they were more then happy to help with my r/c car troubles. The indoor track that they have looked like a lot of fun, the worker there told us that they use to have races on Tuesdays, sadly due to some drama (haha) they don't have that anymore. but they still allow customers to race their r/c car around the track. Another customer told me that the owner allows them to change the tracks around. I'm definitely coming back for all my r/c needs and to test my r/c on the tracks.

Wes the owner is a nice guy, not like other "know-it-all" dicks at the other hobby shops, which doesn't make sense because it's just a freakin hobby dude!

Anyways, I live in South San Francisco and is really convenient having the only RC vendor in South San Francisco, just down the street from my house.  I have a Nitro (gas) Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 and when needed Wes has had most of the parts I need in stock, which makes it easier for quick repairs.

Decent prices, Great selection in parts & upgrades, Great RC vendor overall.

A+  hobby store!  Wes knows it all but doesn't make you feel like he does.    Almost weekly I call him on Sunday afternoon after beating all my trucks up over at Shells and give him a list of screws, parts, etc.  By Wed he has them in the shop for me to pick up.  9 times out of 10 he has the parts already.  In the rare case he needs to order it's done in just a couple of days.  I'm into nitro/LiPo trucks but he has a ton of planes, heli etc. in there.  You name it he can get it.  I bring my son up there from time to time to watch the races.
Great shop.  Keep it up guys!

Hi Everyone. I'm generally a very nice guy, seriously - I over tip bad waiters because they're probably having a bad day. But I have to say, these guys were total douches. I'm a new RC heli fan and needed new main rotor blades. I didn't know the class of my heli (200, 250 400, etc.) because it's not printed on the box and it's not easy info to find on the web, I've actually spent a lot of time researching this - that's the entire reason I went to this shop. These guys copped attitude  because I didn't have my facts straight. They weren't helpful and informative like the other reviews say. If you buy one of their heli's they will probably be nicer, but since I bought mine off the web (Exceed Classima 300) they expressed a large amount of frustration for not being able to compete with the online market. After being told they couldn't help me (I really wanted to fly my new heli this weekend) I spotted some blades that looked like they might be the right size. They laughed at me when they rung me up, what the hell? They wound up being the wrong type, but seriously? C'mon man. I'm just a dude looking for blades, drop the attitude, I'm truly sorry the internet stole your market, but that's not my problem.
