As a wise man once said, we're not rich enough to buy cheap things. All Saints has become my go-to brand for casual clothes. Although this brand is on the pricey side, I find myself getting much more wear out of their styles than much of the other stuff I end up getting just because it is on sale... All Saints clothes are very well-thought out, with a touch of grunge and I love the under-stated colors, unexpected details and asymmetrical cuts.

I am deducting a star because for some reason the presentation at the store does not seem to always do the clothes justice and the layout requires a lot of time for browsing. Because of the unusual cuts and detailing it is hard to imagine what a piece would look like when it's on a hanger. Buying from the website for some reason is an easier experience for me.

The staff is always friendly and helpful if you need something. However, they do tend to leave you to mind your own business while you shop, which based on some of the other reviews is not a universally popular approach but is something I personally like a lot.

I went to this store for the first time while taking my gf (soon to be wifey) for a little birthday shopping in the city.

The clothing in the women's dept was amazing. She ended up picking out a leather jacket that I'm sure will become a go to item in her wardrobe. Great clothes.

While we were in the store we both noticed that the employees wanted nothing to do with us. The service was so terrible that I looked to yelp to see if other reviews made mention of it. I laughed as I browsed through comment after comment stating that the staff essentially is not aware that our presence as shoppers is what keeps them employed. They act like you just showed up to their private party, uninvited, but they don't quite have the nerve tell you to leave.
To be specific about the service: (and keep in mind it was not busy)
    We were not greeted.
    No help with sizing/finding sizes.
No offer of a dressing room.
No help taking items to the dressing room.
We didn't even get a facial expression from the girl who was working on the floor.

    Amazing clothes. 5 stars
Awkward lack of service. 2 stars
... seriously, the clothes are awesome. 5 stars

love the clothes enough to give them 2 stars... but if i could rate based on their customer service, i wouldn't even rate 1 star.  i shop here now and then, and spend quite bit of money.  it's not that you should get a good customer service based on how much you are spending, but my experience shows it makes NO difference to them.  every time i walk in there, there is enough retail staff, but trying to get their attention is such a hassle!  even if someone walks up to you, she (and i don't mean a particular one) has absolutely NO customer service skill and often rude, so i don't even want to get any help.   i think they are just there so they can get a discount on their outfit.

would i go back?   sure, but only because i like their clothes!

Two stars based on service alone. Clothes are great, store clerks range from ok to rude. Often too busy chatting with each other to offer much help.  Also don't have much knowledge of their own items or online offerings and usually confused when asked if they have something in stock. The downtown Bloomingdale's AllSaints department is AMAZING though. The store clerks there really know the items, are super nice and have either held or special ordered something for me. Bloomingdale's also seems to have a better selection of items, less filler more meat. So skip the attitude of the standalone and head over to Bloomingdale's where they still value great customer service.

This store is a hit or miss. I will agree that the staff is a bit thin for immediate assistance. However the selection is great and with a large selection downstairs for women and an equal amount upstairs for men we did just fine on our own. It was well stocked with sizes and if we did have a question and hunted someone down they were more then happy to answer them for us. The clothes run a bit small so do keep that in mind.

I've been a minor fan of AllSaints since first discovering them in Seattle a couple of years ago.

Visually, the store is amazing. Overall, they do an incredible job of designing their interior spaces and window displays and this store is on par with the others.

Other than that, I think that have great styles and some amazing shoes but their staff is less than desirable. If you are able to find one, don't expect them to be friendly. Screw the apathetic hipster attitude they posses that I'm holier than you because I work here attitude.

It's worth the stop, if you're willing to lay down the Benjamins for the goods.

I happened in to this store while I was playing tourist in SF and doing some holiday shopping in Union Square.

First off, the design detail of the store is amazing.  Every detail tended to.  Lots of cold rolled steel, distressed woods, industrial workshop details, etc.  For the store aesthetic alone, I'm a fan.

But, the mens clothing also had a lot of appeal.  And, compared other stores in the same block - G-star, John Varvatos, Paul Smith, etc, the prices were not at all unreasonable for the style and quality.  Inventory on hand was good, with most items available in a variety of sizes.

I'm not going to complain about sales people because I shop for myself.  Other than help with finding sizes, I just don't need any other assistance.

When it was time for me to check out, I went right up to the register, was greeted with a smile, and was on my way.  5 stars.

My aunt and uncle were in town and passed by AllSaints and said "uuuu whats this place?" I told them "you know...I don't think you'd like it that much." They insisted and I was like "fine..ok, let's check it out." We go in and my uncle was like "is there were Frankenstein lives? It should be called AllDevils." My aunt loved it and bought practically the whole store.

Me on the other hand, I love this store! It's so original, love the studio lights and the darkness. I bought jeggings and a coat for about $200. I want to wear them everyday. The fit is perfect. I feel like I'm walking in London when I wear this clothing. The coolest part is its designed in the same factory as Alexander McQueen, so its very good quality, only pricey. Probably the least expensive item is around $30.

You definitely want to get assistance from Charlie or one of the managers, they were extremely helpful. They have a lot of staff, some nice, some not so nice. I heard once Lea Michele from Glee was shopping in this store, how cool is that?! They often throw little parties with DJS and they've been known to support the music industry and work with U2, Stereophonics, Kelis, Robbie Williams, and Kings of Leon. Rock on, AllSaints.

This is more of a 'eh', than a 'meh.' I've walked by this place dozens of times, but never went in because the view of the merchanding from the outside looked so boring and the clothes uninteresting.

However, one night to kill time I checked it out. A few people I know with trustworthy judgment said they have some cool stuff here. Maybe i just came at the wrong time, but the Men's section was seriously so drab and boring. It looked like a more edgy version of Express Men. And I'm not saying that with any type of connotation, that's just literally what it looked like to me.

Also, though I was probably only in there for about 15 minutes, none of the employees tried to engage me. For a clothing retailer in this class, that's a big fail.

Are you helplessly rich, but still want the look of a starving artist? Do you want to shop at thrift stores for vintage, worn-in threads, but can't stomach the thought of wearing used clothes?

Well folks, Allsaints is the shop for you.

Allsaints is filled with a lot of intentionally ill-fitting clothing, shirts so sheer you might as well be wearing latex, t-shirt collars so wide you could fit a pair of hips through them, and prices so high, it kind of makes you wonder how stores like these exist (decked ironically with pre-war era Singer sewing machines and the decor of an abandoned shipyard)  in an economy this poor.

But the more ridiculous the retail experience, the more ridiculous the sale. And I did happen upon a pair of beat up matte black leather high tops with scuffed-look white soles for half off. I'd actually originally seen the same pair a few months ago while visiting New York, but thought damn, $150 is a bit steep. But for seventy-five bucks? Score.

So for sales, check it out. Otherwise, if you do happen upon Allsaints, just be mindful that the one centerpiece to your ensamble that catches your eye, might just snatch your wallet, too.

If I could give zero stars then I would..

I recently bought a pair of heels at this store with a wooden platform and heel. The day that I bought them my boyfriend noticed that there was a chip in the heel right after we left for the night (literally not a block away from my apartment). When I got home I noticed there was another chip in the wood as well..

When I'm paying $280 for a pair of heel I expect the quality of the wood to not chip on the first time wearing them.

I went into the store today to try to exchange them for a different pair, because in my eyes these shoes are defective, and they told me that's just the wear and tear of the item. The manager told me that she bought the same shoes and the same thing happened to her, but I'm sure she got her shoes 50%-70% off, and I'm sure she wouldn't have felt the same way if she had paid full price for the item.

K, I understand wear and tear, but I think a pair of shoes from Forever 21 would last longer than these did. No shoe costing over $200 should chip after the first wear.

These sales associates are very unfriendly and I received several glares while waiting in line for the register to exchange my item. I've spent over $700 at this store (& by online) in the past week alone and I will not spend another dollar there after this incident. I feel that I am treated with more respect when I go into Saks, Chanel, or Neiman Marcus. Every time I've walked in the store I've received some sort of attitude.

I was not being rude while talking to the sales associates at all, and I feel that I should've been offered a store credit for being unhappy with the quality of a high priced item. I'm not someone who returns items all the time, and while I understand store policy, I don't think wear and tear happens the first three hours that you wear an item.. I would be totally understanding if it was a month into owning the item, but I literally JUST bought this item, and if they took the time to look at the receipt they would've noticed it.

I work in the beauty industry and I've sent a lot of clients to this store, and that will no longer happen due to the lack of customer service and the condescending attitude.

The dirtiest, grungiest, hippest, coolest, trendiest, upscale, downscale, sewing-machine fronting store you'll ever visit.  Why wasn't I personally notified that AllSaints came to the states, let alone San Francisco!?!?

Seriously though this store has some of the best clothing options I've ever purchased.  From gritty T-shirts, to trendy dress pants and jeans that will last you a lifetime.  The staff at this store are pretty helpful to, but since everyone who shops here looks the same it might take you a while to distinguish employee from customer.  Good luck!

Men's clothing located upstairs, so don't be turned away from the womanly facade. Go forth, boldly.

I didn't know Les Miserables was playing in SF?!?!

Hee! Walking through this Union Square shop transported me to the backstage of the Les Mis set, with racks full of brown and gray clothing.  All pretty but all of that edgy, frilly (you should be skinny) wear.  This UK label gives you a glimse into another world of fashion.  Beware that sizes are UK-ized, no you didn't get fat from your famers' market finds!   A UK 10 on the rack is a 6 on you!   Remeber to subtract FOUR.   BUT, for children, it's a 6 on the rack and a 5 on a girl.  Yeah, UK math I guess, don't risk it, ask the sales rep to be sure.

With my middle of road views on fashion, I see the heavy use of gray and brown in the middle of a spring season as a bit dreary.    Visualize the clothing from that Broadway muisical, Les Mis and well, it's all here.  Rags.... but pretty rags with a handful of non-rag standouts.  If you are tall and skinny, you need to come here.  Dress sizes end at 8/10 ladies, so us Big Mac lovin' double digit sized  need to look elsewere.

Of note were the children's clothing.  The girl's dresses were way more wearable and unique than the women's.  I love the unisex items and there's not all that bubble gum pink bursting out at you.

Workmanship on fine fabrics is poor,  quality of fabrics gets 2 stars, design gets 4 stars, hence the 3 star rating.

There are only 12 stores in the US so what you buy will likely be different.  There's better pricing on-line for sale items, although beware that the checkout button is not working right now (may 15th).

Warning: Not for the closed minded! Do not attempt coming in here if you have never been fashionably brave at lease ONCE in your entire life.

This store is for the edgy, the trendy, those with the affinity for European trashy-chic fashion, punk kids w/ expensive taste, aaaand anybody who loves adding attention-getting pieces to their wardrobe. Even their employees wear clothing from here and make it their own.

This location is much bigger than their LA Melrose counterpart and definitely offers a lot more, too.

Downstairs, you have your women's section. Shoes are located along the right wall & fitting rooms are toward the back near the children's section. Yes that's right, you and your tyke can match expensive outfits, so the whole entire family can blow their money on looking great together.

Men's section (or rather DILF's) have the whole second floor to themselves. The selection for guys is pretty impressive, my boyfriend definitely likes this location more because most of the items he wanted from online wasn't available in their Melrose boutique but this place had what he was looking for.

What makes this store unique is the fact that they implemented iPad's to the shoppers experience. You can look up their site and browse through their online boutique WHILE you're in their store! "Yo dawg, heard you like shopping, so we put a shop in your shop, so you can shop while you shop!!" It definitely proves useful if someone took a mental note of what they wanted but forgot what the item was as soon as they stepped in the store - coz this has happened to me several times before.

Anyway good job on the layout, merchandising, and quality of clothing.

Oh man, what a sad thing to give my once favorite store a 2-star markdown. I've been ever the fan of All Saints' urban grunge appeal but this recent collection has me baffled. The cotton tops, running a premium at around $110, look like they cut a hole at one end and draped the rest around me. Struggling for something slightly more flattering, I tried the tanks. Those form-fitting tops are long to about my knees and the other bedazzled (literally very sparkly) options render me speechless.

My mom bought me a gift certificate and even with "free" money I couldn't buy anything. Can you please go back to the early collection where it reminded me of Kurt Cobain gone couture?

I really wanted to love this store, since we happened upon the one in NYC while visiting during its Grand Opening week and absolutely loved the clothes and the service. I have to say, though, that the service in the SF store is horrible. The salespeople are condescending and rude, an attitude that seems to be perpetuated by their managers.

Trying to buy anything is nearly impossible. It took them 30 minutes to find the matching shoe. When we went to the register, they rang up the person behind us in line first. Then they said they couldn't process our transaction and took us downstairs to do it. To add insult to injury, when we got home, we realized they had given us the wrong shoes.

After swearing that we would never go back to that store again, we were forced to, in order to get the pair of shoes we actually paid for. Well, never again. And what a shame, after we talked it up to everyone we knew. We've rescinded our positive review in light of the horrid service at the SF store. And we definitely won't be back.

Was doing some business reconnaissance yesterday and checked out AllSaints Spitafields down in Union Sq.  This store has been open for 3 months or so where the old Prada was.  Very cool industrial feeling space filled with old Singer sewing machines and spindles.  The look is a dark, edgy/grungy London hipster meets Zara.  Originally from the UK, they have a store in NYC and now are braving the California love and sunshine.  I think it works.  They are having a huge sale and while I personally almost cleared out the mens section upstairs, I think the women's floor may still have some selection available.

I posted some pics of the shoes on my blog...

AllSaints Spitalfield finally made its debut here in San Francisco in the old Prada space.

I love European clothing lines for its smart cutting and tailoring. This hip British line that embodies that London street style is no exception.

I love the industrial loft feel with vintage sewing machines as the main décor. The women line is quite interesting (think little leather jackets and combat boots as well as sequin mini dresses and voluminous cotton dresses). While only a small portion of the women line is in sync with my personal style, I am absolutely in love with the mens line. Urban chic with an air of cool, Eric fell in love with a leather jacket with cool zipper detail and a classic navy peacoat that's cut as if it's tailor made. It is a true ready-to-wear line. They even have selected product information on iPad stationed sparsely throughout the store.

Don't forget to check out the children's clothing. Those little mini size leather jackets will have you oohing and ahhing.

Welcome to Union Square AllSaints, you are edgy addition in this already fashionable neighborhood.

Dark and brooding, yet romantic ensembles for the post-apocalyptic Vampire woman, man and baby. This is the anti-Janie & Jack. The AllSaints toddler sits back coolly motionless in his stroller, occasionally taking in whiskey-spiked milk from his sippyflask and contemplates why the fussy J&J must always dress in themes.

It would be perfectly relevant for the employee's mandatory uniform to one day involve amber hued fashion contact lenses. Though gorgeously and sumptuously designed (notice my love affair that is the window dressing: coal black antique Singer sewing machines stacked wall-to-wall, one on top of the other), the store could be intimidating taken all at once--engineered with numerous iPad stations connected to the web portal and a customer service army disguised as highly, highly attractive models slinking in every corner.

Don't lose heart. The men's knits, button-up shirts and boots located upstairs are a lot less complicated, considerably more approachable and incorporable to the average street dude looking to step up the drama without the emo.  I like.  Douchey graphic tees.  No like.

Note: No refunds. Think twice before lending out the plastic; few pieces--taken individually--successfully translate that seductive, rebellious cachet when taken out of haute-industrial context. That is, of course, unless you are a vampire. Some things just wear better in a chamber of sublimating dry ice or jumping out of an airplane.  (See Parachute Dress: http://www.us.allsaint...)

Hooray for the arrival of a local AllSaints!  I've loved you ever since seeing you in the UK, and then again when you showed up in SoHo; and now I can love you even more often... now that you're not G.U.D.

Though a long distance relationship has appeal, and I like that you're hard to get b/c then I want you that much more... but it's not what I ultimately envisioned for us, b/c you bring out a different, edgier side of me that I find exciting.  You're the freedom away from the ennui of the everyday.

Tailoring & cuts are haute couture cool w/o the haute pricing.  A bit reminiscent of an affordable Yohji Yamamoto or Ann Demeulemeester.  (Ok, that's a real stretch, I know, but you get the idea.)  Me likey!

Stumbled upon this great store.   Was worried I was getting too old for these great, edgy clothes.  Tried on a shirt with a bird on it (see Portlandia clip on Hulu), but realized that the bird was dead with blood dripping out of it.   YEah.   Little too old for that.

But, surprise, surprise, I managed to find two great pieces to add to my wardrobe.  One piece is a drapey, asymetrical fancy sweatshirt.   Have worn it non-stop for two weeks.   So comfortable.   Ignore sizes- things run small in the armholes or have no shape so you can go up or down a size.

The other piece is a sequined, silk shift.   Going to wear it over leggings or layer it with a jacket- lots of options.   It is kind of like something cracked out fairies would design.  Super ethereal.

The only reason why this did not get 5 stars- no staff.   Two guys were helping out with the dressing rooms AND doing check out.   They kinda did not know how to work the ties on the dress I bought.   I think there are a few different ways to wear it.  Probably will figure it out, but sometimes it is nice to get help.

This is a wonderful addition to the Union Square shopping district!

Some of the clothes, especially the frock-coats, are fantastic.   There are many basics done in nice fabrics as well.

The decor (industrial age garment factory of sorts) is pleasant.  How does one aquire hundreds of old sewing machines for each store?  Some of the old cogs are real, others quick wood reproductions (one of which fell to the floor and shattered while we were there.)

Many sweaters are made from nice yarns such as cashmere, while others are heavy on the viscose and synthetics - so pay attention to the labels if you are a fabric snob.

The staff does not bug you (or even say hello) while you shop, which is somewhat refreshing in these days of overly attentive sales people.  I found the person at the cash register pleasant and competent.

My main beef is the sizing.  It is the UK sizing, so a size womens 14 is really more of a US 10.    That's fine if you're tiny, but disappointing if you're not.  Of course, women can go to the men's department to get some nice basics.  I found a belt in men's and my companion found a wonderful cashmere sweater there.  I also got a big women's cashmere sweater that is intended to be big and drapy (or belted) so it still worked out fine.

Note that Men's sizes run smaller than you would expect as well, especially if you have broad shoulders.

So, AllSaints - PLEASE add a few sizes and you'll sell more of your stellar designs to those of us in San Francisco.  Meanwhile, keep up the creativity, tailoring, and fine fabrics.

(This is the 2nd coming of this review, as Yelp removed my original FTR version - muy malo!)

When the Geary Street location for this hip UK retailer opened its San Francisco doors this October, I couldn't have been more excited!

For the newbs, AllSaints' aesthetic is upscale hipster, gothic romantic, urban chic. Its London weather inspired neutral color palette definitely mirrors SF's edgy vibe. Lots of gray and beige, which I love because neutrals go with everything. However, if you're looking for color, this probably isn't the right shop for you. The fabrics have a luxurious feel that belie their distressed appearance. The line features its trademark outside seaming on knitwear and its leather jackets have nice details that make them look more expensive. Many of the dresses and knitwear items feature an interesting asymmetrical cut, not usually found at this price point, especially in Union Square. In other words, it's the poor woman's Vivienne Westwood.

Don't be thrown off by their Euro sizing and slimmer fits.
    For ladies: 6 = XXS, 8 = XS, 10 = S, 12 = M, 14 = L.
    For gents: 34 = XXS, 36 = XS, 38 = S, 40 = M, 42 = L, 44 = XL.

Overall, super cute clothes, in dark indie rock kind of way! (They're not cheap, but they won't break the bank either.) 5 hipstars!

If I wasn't an Atheist I'd be convinced that God just sent a bunch of well dressed angels into our midsts to help mend San Francisco's ugly  fashion-less heathen ways! HALLELUJAH! Lightning bolts and rays of sunshine! REDEMPTION FOR THE MISSION HIPSTER LOOK AT LAST!!!

And.. even better... we never need to walk into Five & Diamond and be treated badly ever again!

Wow! Super cool leather accessories and shoes!!!

I love the clothes... the service is great... the only thing I don't like is the price tag on some of the stuff.

After shopping All Saints twice now, I've decided it is almost the perfect store; It's just the right balance of edgy and basic, inventive and wearable. It's sort of steampunky.

Here's the thing about it though... Because it does have a lot of nearly-basics, some of the price points seems a little high for those. But for the pieces that are more definitively All Saints, like the leathers and shoes and some of the really creative knits and dresses, which are inevitably even more expensive, are more than worth it.

I love that the inside is decorated with this very industrial age feel, singer sewing machines and large spindles. The New York store has walls filled with those sewing machines and all of it comes together with a really nice effect.

One thing though, the customer service is extremely bad at the location. With what seemed like 13 people working, only one girl was nice and helpful. The cash register girl was so rude my friend thought about stopping the transaction midway through and telling the associate that she no longer wanted her purchases.

I was gifted my first item from All Saints and I absolutely LOVE them!  They are the Damisi Boots in brown.  The quality of the leather is superb and the craftsmanship on all their shoes will blow you away.  Definitely worth the top dollar you are paying for them!

My boyfriend picked up the most amazing fitting black wool blazer (slim fit, perfect length, but sleeves had to be taken up) and winter toggle coat (slim fit, sleeves taken up).  My other friend re-did his wardrobe and picked up some nice selvedge denim, a peacoat that fit him perfectly, and an all waxed navy blue jacket.  --- all of these items on sale!

QUICK TIP:  Their online store sometimes offers free shipping and their prices can vary between store to online.  Often times, online is cheaper for some reason...sometimes 20-75 dollars less, weird.  We tried to do a price adjustment on an item we saw online that was cheaper, but unfortunately we were not given one due to their store policy (1 star off ).  Instead, if you see an item online that you like ... first try it on in store for fit and sizing (they use the UK system)... and purchase it where the cost is less.  (This may only be an issue during their sales though).

Otherwise, I can't wait to go back and shop!

Regarding the quality of the clothes - HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT
I found some MUCH better deals at AS online, ordered the last seasons version of the dress I had my eye on (in review above) for $55 instead of $280. Thankfully so. It arrived with a minor hole in it. I sewed it. Next time I put it on 3 new holes appeared.  Save yourself the agony and go buy a local designer that doesn't mass produce overly designed garments in sweat shops.

I fell in absolute love with AllSaints on a trip to London last year. I was bummed and surprised to find there was no store in San Francisco. I'm a frequent shopper on their US retail website. And then in October my prayers were answered...

Almost half my wardrobe has become AllSaints... they make great basics, knits, dresses, shoes... and they're all incredibly wearable while not being the same cut and design found everywhere else. The pieces aren't easily identifiable which is something I look for when shopping for myself.

I was a little late in making my retail pilgrimage to this store because it's about an hour drive from where I live. But I did stop in on Christmas Eve for Christmas shopping and the staff was helpful, quick, and nice during a season where sales staff are often annoyed and quick to show it.

Five stars... wish I could give more. In addition to the amazing clothing design, the construction is impeccable and creative -- these pieces are definitely higher quality than comprable stores at a similar price point, and even rival "designer" pieces.

The visuals and merchandising in the store are worth a visit even if you can't dig the clothing.

ps. They have AMAZING sales, in store and online. Sign up for their mailing list, you won't be disappointed... and no, I don't work for them. I'm just a super happy customer.

The clothing from All Saints is amazing, and comparable to G-Star or Diesel, but without the loud labeling of those brands.  For men, All Saints offers the monochromatic look, and is on the industrial/rugged side.  Definitely, not for the conservative, albeit clothing for those who want to make a solid but understated impact on anyone who understands fashion.

However, the 2 stars is for the customer service, or lack of it.  There seems to be too many representatives "hanging out" and not really doing anything important.  The vibe you get is that they're in the cool crowd and unless you look the part ("money"), they basically ignore you... well, that's what I witnessed when a "touristy" patron asked for help.

On that note, go for the clothes, but buyer beware, the so-called help are disinterested sycophants.

I bought a pair of trousers here on my way out of town a few months ago.  I selected my usual waist and inseam, paid and left.  When I tried them on later, I found they were too tight in the lower leg.  Oh well, I thought, I'll return them.
"No refunds," they said, "here's a store credit."
So I grudgingly took the credit and left.

I went back today to use that credit and found out something very irritating.

Their men's clothing is all sized for men with some sort of wasting disease or whose arms and legs have been severed at the elbows and knees in some sort of industrial sewing accident.  Every shirt I tried on that fit fine on the torso would either not fit my forearms at all or if the whole arm did fit in the sleeve, it was so tight that I could not bend it.  Large, X-Large, XX-Large-- didn't make a difference, the sleeves were all comically narrow.
And it was the same with trousers.  Every single pair I tried on that fit in the waist and inseam was so ridiculously tight around the calves as to make them un-wearable.

I asked the sales person what I should do with that card now that none of their clothes fit me.  She recommended hats, socks, or belts.  I don't wear knit hats, their socks are too small and how many belts does one guy need?

    fail.

Shopped here a few days after opening and tried on so many dresses. Found lots of choices, a decent size range, plus a number of flattering cuts that range from the asymmetrically puffy to the floaty to the Mad-Max-ish.

Have fun figuring out how to tie the belts. I was told you can configure some dresses many ways.

My shopping companion remarked that this store has more product stocked than the New York store, but I didn't notice that. However, the staff was really friendly to me and picked out a great dress I had missed. I took home three lovely garments.

(If it's as good the next time I shop there, they'll get a 5th star. Can't tell if I was just having a great day.)

Probably one of the coolest stores I've seen. The attention to detail  for the actual store is pretty ridiculous.

The atmosphere is pretty dark... probably because of the colors of the clothing are also a bit dark. It had a grungy yet hip atmosphere. The store seemed to have clothes that scenesters, hipsters and prepsters would like.

2 of the things I loved: 1) How Singer sewing machines and empty spool pieces of thread adorned the walls and 2) How you could search for clothes using iPads. It was a nice mix of old and new.

I loved the fit of the clothes... one of the few places were I probably dont need to tailor the length of the shirt. While a lot of the clothes/shoes were heavily distressed (I prefer a little less of wear on my distressed look), the fit was still nice and it really did feel broken in properly.

I was first introduced to All Saints while I was on vaca in Manchester before it came to the states. Love the store, although not my style, but I think a few pieces here and there I can accessorize with. I would shop there if it wasn't too $$$$.

One of the coolest stores in SF.

I used to shop on their online store and was sad that the only US store was in NYC.  Once I found out they were opening a store in my backyard I was excited and boy was I right.  The store is large.  Its a bit deciving from the outside because the storefront doesn't look big.  The setup itself is very cool (singer sewing machines) and the selection of clothes is quite big.  Though the place is pricy, if you're looking for something that sets you apart or actually fits you well - you have to visit this place...

I have been looking forward to the opening of AllSaints for a few reasons:
    1. we didn't have one in SF
    2. I love asymmetrical clothes, which they  have plenty of
    3. I wanted to try these items on, not just blindly order the smallest one online and hope it would fit my flat chested self (yeah... I know that's sad)
    4. They clearly rip off a lot of avant garde $$$ designers (Rick Owens, Vivienne Westwood, Ann Demeulemeester, etc.). Not everyone can afford to buy those pieces!

I had not realized the shop opened around Halloween so imagine my surprise as I walked down Geary and spotted a store window chock full of vintage sewing machines and then seeing it was actually AllSaints! (I LOVE vintage machines btw). The store was closed at the time, so I vowed to return.

I returned... and I was overwhelmed to say the least. This store ranks up there with Forever 21 in terms of horrible store layout and overly cluttered merchandising. There's just so much stuff everywhere in a tight space that I didn't even want to browse that much! It was really a shame because I had been looking forward to it too! I was out of there in about 5 minutes. I will give it another try when I am well rested.

I was greeted by a couple employees, so service seems ok.

As far as the clothing goes, everything is in UK sizes (as expected) and everything was neatly folded and on the appropriate racks. I tried on an asymmetric leather jacket (maybe it was called the Lana?). The leather was soft, but somehow the cutting/sewing was not very good. One arm hole was clearly tighter than the other and the zipper had multiple "waves" when it was zipped up.

Yes, I know they are cheaper than the afore mentioned brands. But it is also not cheap. For those that are buying clothes here, I suggest to check the quality of its construction and try on multiple garments of the same size to ensure you get the best one.

One day I will return... I hope I won't get a headache when I do.

I love the clothes. I do a lot of music industry related stuff and AS has a great "throw it on and look instantly cool" vibe. The jackets were better 2-3 years ago when it was all beat up motorcycle jackets; now they look like Atherton rich-lady stuff. Shoes are cool, I got some good t-shirts for terrible prices, but I wear them constantly.
The service SUCKS ASS. The sales reps are just too hip to care about regular people like you and I, desperately clutching my new previously distressed $140 t-shirt in one hand and my overwhelmed credit card in the other, waiting, waiting, waiting...... Online is no better; I tried to have an item shipped expedited so I could get it earlier, but nobody had any idea how to do that. They say 3-5 days, it was 7, too late for my event. Boo!!!
