I began my martial arts adventure 10 years ago. My son had been taking classes and I decided rather than sit and watch I may as well be training too! Of course Master Purnell is so amazing. He brings out the best in everyone, builds one's confidence and has the most infectious positive attitude of anyone I have ever met. The family atmosphere and brother/sisterhood is a wonderful place for children and adults. Our studio also has karate aerobics and yoga classes. Fitness for growth inside and out all under one roof! My son and I train religiously and plan to continue. Tang Soo Do has paralleled my life challenges guiding me with codes and ethics to direct my decisions and choices. So much to learn and so much fun. Come check it out, you'll be glad you did.

I took Tang Soo Do classes when I was young in Michigan. After I moved out here I was looking to take more classes. I looked around at all the studios in town and found that Master Purnell's monthly dues were the most reasonable. I can really tell that teaching Tang Soo Do is his passion! Master Purnell has a gigantic heart and is a wonderful instructor to the young children as well as the adults and from white belts to black! He has been teaching from what I understand since the 1980's and his dedication to his students shows as he gives each student detailed individual instruction. This explains all of the trophies and medals brought back from tournaments!
From my own experience as a kid with Tang Soo Do, I remember learning great tools for self-defense and discipline that carried into other areas of my life. Master Purnell gives his younger students these tools too and I highly recommend checking out his karate studio!
