Believe it or not I passed up Los Compadres because I had eaten at Los Cactus in Ottumwa just the night before and wanted some pizza. I found Alley's to be an OK place to get a pizza in Story City.
You are not going to find exotic toppings or homemade sauces, but for a standard pizza like my Italian sausage and green olive, it is a good place to go. They had pretty good mozzarella cheese, a little stringy. I think the crust is some kind of pre-made, but am not sure. Alley's is carryout although there is a table. Since I was travelling and did not want to take it back to my room, I bought a soda and ate it there. As the rating says, Alley's is A-OK. -

Had to Yelp to sound off about the pizza we had last night. The consensus is at our house that Alley's Pizza has the best Canadian bacon & pineapple pizza we've had. There's a certain smokiness about the Canadian bacon that really makes this pizza exceptional. Make sure to try it on their thin crust to accentuate the smoky ham-bacon and sweet pineapple. Magnifique!
