Friendly place, and cool, fun things at reasonable prices. Interesting things to look at, and a very tidy and clean place, for being filled with random, old stuff.

If you want me to come into your store you should pump classic soul Christmas music out. Not typical Christmas music but Christmas music you can actually groove too.
Out of all the Antique shops in Martinez this is by far the nicest and most organized. I don't feel dirty after walking through here.
I was randomly looking at the record collections and saw a great framed picture of Janis Joplin. I was looking for a gift for a friend and was considering this option when I saw these great custom made magnets.
They were mini old school rock posters mounted on a hard board surface with magnets on the back. They are very nicely made. I found a Grateful Dead one that also had a listing of another artist that I, (or her) that was named the same name as her son. Her son having a very unique name made this the perfect gift.
We had never heard of this artist before and she is a huge Grateful Dead fan. When she got the gift she spent the day looking up the artist. She loved it!
My son and I spent about an hour wondering the store. He was grooving to the music and I was snapping photos of the really neat little corners of the store.
If you don't buy anything its worth just coming in and looking at everything. You'll probably leave with something. I had no intention of buying anything and I walked out with more than one thing.
You could easily spend and hour here. Its an hour well spent.Listed in: Martinez & Beyond

Favorite antique store ever! This isn't your uptight Mom and Pop place, sometimes run by they vendors themselves, Alley Cats is the best! I'm always ooo'ing and awww'ing, even my boyfriend enjoyed himself and agreed this is our favorite stop in Downtown Martinez.
The prices are the best of every antique store I've been to and I guarantee they have something there you can't leave without! -

It was my unfortunate pleasure to be called for Jury duty today. As such I got to spend a 2 fun filled hours wandering around downtown Martinez.
This place was wonderful. Awesome 70's music and a really nice lady staffing the counter (I would guess she's the owner). The clothing was neat and I ran across a doll case that is an exact duplicate of the one my mother had as a child.
Everything was well priced and if you're there for Jury duty on a Monday you can get a coupon for 10% in the packet they hand out when they put in you in what I like to call the "cattle room."

Alley Cats elevates kitsch to the level of art. I absolutely love this place so much I can barely contain my squealing while I shop. They have an abundance of 50s-style items like the type of shirts Kramer wore on Seinfeld and authentic tiki-party decor for sale. They have a nice array of Bakelite from bracelets to pins from $15 to $150. It's a full place, but very well arranged so I wasn't too overwhelmed. There were some cute suitcases and plenty of housewares to my delight.
Super nice staff and excellent prices make this a nice addition to your Martinez day. -

I love this place. It's definitely my favorite antique shop in Martizzle and I usually can't help but pop in every time I'm downtown for a wander.
It's got a fascinating assortment of items from as far back as the depression. From cashmere sweaters to ancient stoves, old issues of Life magazine and even a prototype slap-chop from the '60's this is a great place for anyone who likes to wonder "What has this item seen? If it could talk what kind of stories would it have to tell?". It's also reasonably priced and the employees know when to open the jewelry case so you can try on what ever sparkles enough to tickle your fancy or to leave you alone to sift through the dusty memories uninterrupted.
If ever one is need of a way to pass the time in downtown Martinez this is a good place to start. -

I always find great stuff here. Prices vary according to the seller, but are pretty reasonable overall. I buy something every time I visit. The owner is a nice gal who I enjoy talking to. Great jewelry & wonderful Bakelite, rock & roll section, kitchen, etc. Something for everybody. Highly recommended if you're a vintage or retro fan.

This is my favorite antique store in Martinez, which is saying a lot considering all the choices around town. The floorplan is easy to manuver around, and the displays are full of cool stuff. Alley Cats is a treasure trove of kitsch, but they also have plenty of useable retro items (clothing, kitchenware, etc.). The cherry on this sundae of fabulousness is the friendly staff. Wheather I'm just browsing or looking to make a large purchase, coming in here has always been a pleasure.

alley cats is a fantastic shop! you could furnish your whole "retro" home with the treasures there! the vintage clothes selection is exceptional! from frocks to shoes and the cutest cache of vintage ladies side-zip jeans! dozens of cashmere sweaters; all colors, shapes and sizes at great prices! it feels like the best estate sale you've ever been to. and best of all-fresh stock daily! have fun!
