Update: Rumor is Alley Cats has closed- verify??
This place has a great atmosphere and is a restaurant / bar with live music depending on what night you go. Its gotten pretty pricey, so I limit the # of times I go there and what I go there for to keep the tab w/i my lowly lowly budget... But let's move on to the important thing - the food: Fabulous!!!!
The one thing that I crave for, long for, LIVE FOR is their fish dip and this is the main attraction that keeps me coming back. Yes- it may sound odd/gross to some but you will change your mind for theirs.
Recommendations? Appetizers- Nachos are excellent, but watch out - you need at LEAST 4 pple to devour. Bar fries are Fabulous, but don't kiss anyone afterwards cuz ya gonna reek. Quesadillas - get the chicken not the steak (they use slivers instead of chunks - ick). Try and make them bring back the bruchetta!! Crab/spinach dip is aight, nothing to brag about - but I personally woudlnt' order it. Their French onion soup is really good here too.
Dinners- haven't tried many of them, but I guess I'd get the phyllo thingy
Salads- are large portioned and taste good - but its salad.. why pay so much? get something else.
Sandwiches/Burgers- All the burgers are really really good and pretty damn big. I really like all of their sandwiches and they have a pretty big variety (Dont' tell anyone - but I love their grouper (fried) sandwiches more than Frenchys and that's almost blasphamy around these parts.)
Desserts- I think I tried it once, but wasn't memorable. Stick to appetizers/sandwiches/ burgers at this place -

I agree that this place has some really good menu items, but some of their prices are ridiculous for the type of food they are serving...I think that they forgot that they are in Clearwater, not NYC.
