Review from Glenn C.
Penngrove, CA
this is a new place in town and I really like it, I do not give five stars when it is not deserved, so here is why they got it
1. the place is new and while open with high ceilings it still feels warm and cozy
2. the staff is really nice, the owner and her help were engaging but not overly talkative (and early in the morning that is nice)
3. the selection of pastries, and sandos is great, I had the breakfast bagel and it was like home made
4. the coffee is GREAT! perfect in fact and I do know coffee
if I had a complaint it would be that they need to open a little earlier, but then again thats just my preference, great job Alley Cat -

Chico, CA
Service here is mediocre at best. The attitudes of the workers and owner are very weird, kind of stand offish and definitely not thankful for the business.
Food is not recommended.
only upside is the comfy couch and the central location. Also free wifi. -

Quincy, CA
Great place, nice ambiance, delicious fair trade coffee and teas, tasty sandwiches and pastries. Plus, the patio is a great place to have a beer or wine in the warmer months.

Great teas and coffee drinks. Best coffee in the county, a taste of Italy in little Quincy . EXCELLENT panini and very good pastries. Nice indoor and outdoor space to hang and has high speed Internet . ( hard to find on weekend in Quincy. Closed Sunday though.

YUM! We stumbled upon this cute little coffee shop that's tucked away from the main street. We had to walk through an art gallery to get there. They made all the standard espresso drinks and blended coffee drinks too! They also had cookies, pastries and savory snacks, OH MY!
The ginger cookie just melted in my mouth! I wish I had some more time, and I would have loved to sit in one of the comfy chairs and enjoy my beverage.Listed in: On the Road Again!, Do you need a fix?

Greenville, CA
Overpriced food that tends to be stale and even gave me an upset stomach once... Rude owner, too. Made the mistake of coming here with a friend who can't hear well and because of this had some confusion while placing her order, and the owner was very nasty about it.
Can't recommend Alley Cat -- rude shopkeeper + bad food = one too many strikes! -

I stopped in here for lunch on my way to Oroville, California a couple of weeks ago. I had one of the specials, a Veggie Hummus wrap, that was very delicious. All of the ingredients were fresh and crisp (if I remember correctly there were carrots, radishes, and some other veggies inside). The wrap was served with a side salad that was strictly a lettuce mix with a balsamic and ? dressing. Simple and tasty. I gave them 5 stars because the 2 things that turned me slightly off are my own particular idiosyncrasies and I don't feel they should be penalized for that. Number one, the cashier/counter person was wearing a tank top. Even though it is summertime and hot, I don't feel tank tops have a place in food service. Number 2, the decor is a little minimalist for my tastes. But that is just me. The bathrooms were super clean as was the restaurant. I would stop here again!

Quincy, CA
A nice place to hang out in Quincy for locals or visitors. I don't drink coffee but nice teas and good food for breakfast and lunch. Try out the patio which has a view of the mountains surrounding the town. Just had a terrific strawberry peach smoothie with an oatmeal raisin cookie.

Quincy, CA
The owner woman is really rude. I went there and bought a coffee drink for $4 and ate an apple while I was having my drink and she kicked me out of the store! This was when there was no one in there but me, so it is not like I was wasting her space! Super rude, will never go there again. Plus their pastries are expensive and leave something to be desired.
