Bravo Excellent!
I must say the breakfast is awesome! The wait staff is very helpful and the food arrived promptly and piping hot, all had smiles and could not do enough for you. Very clean tasteful decor, quaint location with plenty of free parking, excellent service, open kitchen and counter service, perfect portion size. Had the corned beef hash w/eggs & toast perfect. The hash was meaty and seasoned perfectly and above all NOT salty. French Toast is really really good.
On to other menu items. Wally Burger "it's a Jersey thing" Nice meaty cheese burger w / Taylor Ham and a side of fresh cut fries, goood. As for the Corned Beef Reuben, my oh my was this a ever a treat! Great sandwich served closed with a fresh tasting sauerkraut and lean corned beef on rye expertly grilled on the flat top, we have a winner! Tried some of Kyles Pulled Pork as well, very nice. One of the few places I will eat the slaw cup here made fresh daily from what I can tell.
Old school luncheonette on the right track with friendly service, wide selection of great food at a reasonable price. The iced tea & lemonade come in quart sized wonton soup containers and are refreshing, I like the Arnold Palmer!
Don't miss out on Allendale Eats
Way to go Kyle / Michelle and the staff!Listed in: TOP 5

Good food and good service for us non meat eaters....looks like a great menu for meat eaters.
Breakfast menu consisted of lots of solid staples with a few custom combo plates. Street parking was easy. Staff was friendly. Kitchen was fast. Homemade pastries looked good. and the price was a bargain. -

This is an outstanding casual restaurant. Everything is made with love by a mother/son team and the breadth and variety in the menu is just amazing. I eat here on a regular basis and have never, ever been disappointed with the food or service. Not only that, but I am often offended at their prices because they are so low for the quality of the food. Short ribs and two sides for lunch.....$8.95???? Come on, just ridiculous. You could get another $5 outta me easy.
A true gem for Allendale that I hope never goes away. Kyles pulled pork and the steak sandwiches are both standouts for me. -

Awesome service and food. The homey ambience was terrific for a local spot. The superbly nice waiter Phill suggested the homemade corn beef hash which was amazing with eggs and thick cut toast.
I almost don't want to suggest this place cause it's such a great place. -

The 5 stars above is for the cheese steak only!!! Just ordered it via the phone. My co-worker then told me it was a $12 sandwich. I cursed her out. Told her to cancel it and said what highway robbery it was to pay $12 for a cheese steak. I said I didn't order Filet Mignon...then she said, it's a Rib Eye cheese steak and to shut up and eat it when it gets delivered.
I walked in and firmly stated that if it wasn't the best cheese steak I ever ate, I was going to call them up and tell them what a joke I thought a $12 cheese steak was!
Sitting at my desk, the sandwich comes. I then commented....what no fries for $12?
I unwrap the sandwich. It looked really good, and the cheese was all melted and gooey (like it should be). It had peppers and onions on it. The steak was basically shredded and cut rib eye. I took a little piece of fallen steak and ate it. It was tender and moist. I then took a full bite........DELICIOUS!!!!! I made sure to tell my co-worker it was the best I ever had! Instead of calling and letting them know, I am writing it here to let everyone know!!!!
Buy the CHEESE STEAK!!!! It still may be a little pricey for a lunch sandwich, but....quality is there and the taste too!!!! You will not be disappointed.
I wish I took a picture before I wolfed it down!!!!!

Stop in this following week and boy was it pack maybe because I came around rush hour? Overall I been hearing rave about Kyle Pulled Pork Sandwich so I must have to give it a try. And boy was it good and I have to say it's definitely worth the money. And recommend everybody to give it a try.

I was introduced to this place when I first started working in Ridgewood. I've driven by this place countless of times but never thought of going in. The staff is friendly, courteous and fun to chat with.
Food...where do I start??? Breakfast is amazing, I always get the "Truckdriver" and it causes immediate food coma. Sometimes I'll get a sandwich for later in the day and it's a mistake because it's just as big as the breakfast. All kidding aside, the sandwiches are great, filling, and not that expensive. There's nothing there I wouldn't recommend to someone. I like how they always change up their selection of sandwiches. Highly recommend!Listed in: Excellent Sandwich Stops

Allendale, NJ
A fantastic menu with plenty of choices. Mainly a breakfast and lunch menu with a wide variety and selection of beverages. The catering is spectacular and very professional. In a very convenient location in the center of Allendale. Lots of parking. 50 feet from train station. Service is fast and friendly. The outdoor seating, (Seasonal), is a great touch. A must stop for anyone who wants some great food to go, or come and relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

We had Allendale Eats cater our company's Christmas party this year. The food got rave reviews from my co-workers. The sandwiches were tasty and the favorite was the pasta with alfredo sauce. Everyone loved the cookies and brownies they supplied for dessert.
I have lunch there 2-3 times a week. You can't beat their homemade soups! OUTSTANDING! -

This place is a great, cozy neighborhood spot with good food done right. We were in town for a family wedding and wanted a decent breakfast. The breakfast burrito I had was great, and everyone else at my table loved their meals as well.

Good food, great setting and outside dining, large breakfast portions. Service was not great but it's also not a rushed kind of place, it's a lazy Saturday morning breakfast kind of place. We'll definitely be going back.

I have yet to be disappointed by this well organized crew! The staff is friendly and attentive. The specials change often and offer some very delicious pairings, like your tongue going on a hike in some exotic land. Yeah, that was a weird sentence, I agree. But try this place and I'll bet you love it!

I have to say that every time that I have eaten here I have left full. The sandwiches are huge, the fries delicious. My personal favorite is the hand squeezed, yes by hand, lemonade. Nothing is better after coming off a hike at Campgaw Mountain. The waitstaff is friendly and, yes it might take a little longer than a diner for food to come out, but that's because they are making everything fresh in the kitchen.

Nice place with a local feel and limited, but quality menu. If they add some house roast turkey and other home made items then I'll up it to five stars. Highly recommend you try it.

Well, I don't quite know where to start. Everytime I have had occaision to visit this establishment, I have never been let down. Well, once. They were all out of the chicken salad. Apparently, that's a big seller. BUT, that gave me the opportunity to order some other things, and expand my horizons. Egg salad, AWESOME cheeseburgers, incredible specials. WOW, what's not to like there. I even got to taste rice pudding, which I never was a fan of. Yummy. Very friendly atmosphere, and from what I understand, they are very community oriented. I will definetly return to this cozy place. It was worth the trip. Thank you for your warm and attentive service.

Got there at 11 to avoid the lines and it was really high quality for its category. Chicken salad was really good. Can't wait to head back.

I had been meaning to try this place out and I finally got a chance when I had a few friends visiting. I had heard rave reviews from some very picky people.. everyone seems to LOVE the tuna salad sandwich (too bad I don't like fish..) I walked in with high expectations and now I'm the one raving! I love the atmosphere and the food is wonderful!

Since I've stopped smoking it's a daily battle to minimize the calorie intake, I frequently head for Allendale Eats because they have the best "homemade" soups and delicious, fresh salad combos in North Jersey. Small town feel and friendly staff who are all to happy to comply with any request. The owners, Kyle and Denise, are always happy to see you and make you feel welcome. Very often busy with deliveries and catering but this simply speaks for the quality of thier food and reputation for topnotch ingredients. Right now, all I can do is watch others soak up tempting meals of beautiful beef cuts and succulant gravies on the tables next to mine.

Try this place, but be patient! Your order my take a while to complete but it will be worth the wait. Everything is made fresh and with precision.
I had a bacon, egg & cheese on a roll for breakfast & an Italian sub for lunch both were great and the employees were very friendly. -

Breakfast is ok, not great.
Lunch is better.
The specials are usually interesting, but the problem I have with this place is the service. They have such a high volume catering and phone in business that the staff has little time or interest in the customers in the restaurant.
Note: I received a very professional email from the owner that I greatly appreciated. I gave it another shot and it was a far better experience. Well doneComment from Denise Kimball And K. of Allendale Eats 2/22/2011

let me just begin, by saying that i (nor my family and friends) have ever been disappointed by the food we've eaten at allendale eats. not only is the food delicious, but the people who work there are fabulous. the french fries are made from fresh potatoes, and fried up while you wait. almost everything you eat is homemade, from the soups to the side salads to the corned beef hash. my current favorite is their cheesesteaks. yum! they also have packaged foods to go (homemade dinners) which i have yet to try. i only wish that i worked closer, so that i could go there more often.

You cannot find a deli / breakfast establishment anywhere around this area as good as Allendale Eats!!! The price is just right and the food cant be beat (all homemade), also i hear they have the cleanest kitchen in town. I personally love their homemade corned beef hash and their soup and sandwich combos make the perfect lunch for me and my colleagues. Not only do we order in at work for lunch, but on the weekends my family and I go in for breakfast. I agree with Lauren L., I have yet to be disappointed by a meal!
