Neighborhood: KirkwoodAllendales was originally a furniture store that they converted into a restaurant and micro brewery. It is huge. And unfortunately it is never very busy. It has a great atmosphere with three different seating areas, each with its own feel. There is a small intimate room, a major dining room and then a very nice bar area with tables and live music a few times a week.
I have eaten there 3 or 4 times and have been pleased with my food each time. But it is a little too expensive even for an upscale micro brewery. The appetizers and deserts are good though and large enough portions to share.

For a casual , relaxed meal, Alandale is pretty solid. The bar area gets props because it's non-smoking, which I appreciate, and while servers are generally pretty young and sometimes inexperienced, they're always friendly.
I'm generally not a burger girl, but the green chili fiesta burger at Alandale is just too tasty to pass up. I usually switch out the pub chips for a side salad so I can indulge in their soft pretzel sticks, which are pretty tasty as well (although I advise you to steer clear of the beer cheese soup dip--it tastes vaguely like Pine-Sol, oddly). The fish and chips is a heaping portion and the pulled pork sandwich is pretty good... When cooler weather returns, I'll be in the mood to try their "Best of the Wurst" sandwich of homemade sausage, caramelized onions and sauerkraut on a bun.
They do brew beer at Alandale, but I don't drink it. Justin, however, is a big fan of their Vienna lager and he generally doesn't even *like* lagers. I guess that means it's very good. :)
The live music is pretty good, people seem to enjoy the sports on the tellies... it's just a chilled out spot to have a meal (although it could probably stand to be a little cheaper). It's not amazing but it certainly doesn't suck, so Alandale gets a solid three stars from me.

Alandale Brewing Company is a fun place to go for drinks with friends. Every now and then I find myself in Kirkwood and there are a couple of places that I enjoy going to. Alandale is now one of those places that when I am in Kirkwood, I will probably find myself there.
Alandale is a lot of fun to go to because for one, they brew their own beer and it also taste quite nice too. I would venture far enough to say that, to me, it taste better than some of the other more popular brewing places. Their oatmeal stout ale is really good. I also really enjoy their pilsner.
Alandale is a nice little brewpub that I enjoy going to and I am glad that I stumbled upon this place.
