First apartment review, but seriously, how can I forgot the place I lived for 3 years in Davis.

I really enjoyed the area, with Sharps and Flats, Sorrento, etc.  All of these apartments are pretty nice.  Allegre is no exception.

Since we were right next to the pool, I'd have to say we had some pretty good view, especially during the summer :).  Sadly, my room had the parking lot view, so I wasn't able to take advantage of the view all the time :(.

Anyways, overall, my roommates and I had a great time living here.  It was close to Safeway and Dos Coyotes across the street, and was walkable to Sudwerks.  The basketball courts was close by, where we spent countless hours there instead of studying.  The computer area sucked, but hey, at least they had computers.  Overall, not much to complain about, that's why we never moved in those 3 years.  The rent was fair, and the management was good.  I don't think I could have had a better experience anywhere else.  Check it out!

This is my second year at this place.  I've had a nightmare living situation before (check my review for The Seville), so living at this place has been pure HEAVEN.  The apartments are quite spacious and it's possible to make it very comfy.  The management and service people are very nice, even though I'm not the one to usually deal with them.

The neighbors can get a little loud and rowdy sometimes, but it's only fair if you know you're not quiet all the time either.  The parking can suck majorly depending on the quarter, but I don't believe they tow non-permit cars anymore at the moment (I still wouldn't risk it though!).

The W-line is also a con because it gets soooo packed that you often get off feeling a little dirty (unless you enjoy the fun of rubbing against strangers).

Nice apartments.  Fair Prices.  Great location (off the W line).  Service and  Repairs were done at a reasonable rate.  Safeway within walking distance.

Parking Sucks.  Worst Parking Ever. Dont think you can get street parking.  You'll probably have to park at the Kaiser and hope your car doesnt get towed away.

Dont even try to throw a party at the complex.  The cops check it on a very regular basis.  If you do try...save $200 for the ticket you'll surly receive.  However...There was this one party where we offered the cops some alcohol and they just gave us a warning and told us to keep the noise down...sweet!

***Tell your friends not to park here after hours.  They will surly tow away any care w/o a parking permit! (ewww...and then you'll get that orange sticker on the window that's a bi*ch to get off!)

lived here during my 2nd year of college, 6 girls in a two story 4 bedroom apt.

the kitchen is TINY it gets really claustrophobic when there are more than 3 people standing in the kitchen. pray that no one has a knife in their hand.

walls are kind of thin, but thats like EVERYWHERE in davis.

management was pretty nice, we had a dust mite problem in our room and they sent over pest control, but all they did was hand us glue traps to see what kind of bug it was, and suggested we bomb our room. then he started flirting with my roommate and staring at her cleavage.

nice part is that we were right next to the green belt, and there is a little play ground, and a trail where you can go jogging (the lights are out at 10pm sharp!!!)

I lived at Allegre during their first year of operation, which was also my first year living in an apartment. Overall I would say they were nice places, but it was obvious they had to rush at the end to finish the apartments in time. For example, I don't think the floor under the carpets was swept before the carpet was layed as I kept feeling junk underneath.

My complaints with the place had to do with the parking situation. Each apartment came with one covered spot - ours was right next to the basketball court. That's right, for some dumb reason they put a basketball court in the middle of the parking lot. My brand new Civic had a dent randomly. I went to complain and all the management did was put up some signs. Why not get rid of the dumb court!?

Also, our apartment was was on the first floor, so we could hear every step up the stairs.

Other than that I thought the place was cool and management was good. All my other problems with the place had to do with the some of the bad apples that lived there. My roomates new Accord had tomato sauce poured on it randomly. My UCD license plate border was stolen. WTF? It costs a few bucks, go buy one!

Gotta give this place extra stars for all the cute girls. Living across from the pool was definitely a plus!
