These guys are Great! I took in my 850 wagon here after taking it to another repair shop closer to my house that misdiagnosed the problem and charged me a lot for nothing, then they wanted to replace the computer because they were sure that was what was wrong. that sounded strange so I wanted a second opinion, so I figured a place that does primarily volvos would have some experience with my problem... they solved it right away, even though they were busy, they got to my car the same day and then I mentioned some other problems I had and they fixed them the next day, they also told me about some other problems that I said I could fix on my own and instead of pressuring me into having them do it, they recomended what parts to use and what to avoid, without an annoying sales pitch. Fast honest work, I thought the price was reasonable too, everything you want from a repair shop...

Well, I'll try to be a bit more helpful with the info. than some of the other reviewers on this one.
Ahem. Mike is the go to guy here. He answers the phones, can help with any and all questions and even trouble shoots over the phone. This place is constantly busy.
I dropped my Volvo here after it getting tore up in Moses Lake a few weekends ago with a quote of $90 for a diagnostic and cost to repair estimate. They called late the next day to tell me what they found and didn't make me rush back in to pick up my car.
When I walked in the following day to get the estimate and decide whether I wanted to get it fixed or not, Mike flat out stated that unless I was in love with the car it really wasn't worth the cost to repair it. He went over in detail what was wrong with it, how much parts were whole sale, labor costs, etc. Mike stated that they weren't THE cheapest place but very close and competitive so I could look around if I wanted to and even gave me a printed copy of places to call from Google.
A tune up would have cost through them about $350 but I pishawed that and told him I'd probably do that at home and have my Dad help me then bring it back if I decided the repairs were worth the cost. He was very helpful and friendly. On top of that, he told me to have my Dad call him if he had any questions or if in the process of working on the car he needed any help.
From a woman's standpoint (yes, I'm pulling that card), I didn't feel at all hussled but more so refreshed and comfortable dealing with the guys here. They were very professional and came recommended by a few people who have had great experiences with them. If ever I have a Volvo again, this will be my go to place for any fixin's. -

I've had my S40 for 8 years and have had nothing but problems until I moved here from the east coast and found All Volvo. For some reason, no one knew how to fix my car, even the dealers! It's a great car otherwise.
To start, I bought the car in Charleston, South Carolina. Volvo's aren't the most popular cars there so hence the constant 'inconsistently' to diagnose and solve problems. I ended up taking it to Sears Automotive where things where finally getting done right.
I then moved back to the Mid-Atlantic and tried the local dealers again, much to my chagrin... Basic repairs were not done properly so I then took it to the local Sears again just to rest assure. I should write a review for Sears Automotive!
Anyway, I finally moved here and found Larry's Volvo in Beacon Hill. They were very nice but one, they were farther than I wanted to go and two, they instantly forgot who I was when I had new tires installed and asked a question regarding a vibrating noise I was hearing. It was the next day I called and come to realize it was something All Volvo diagnosed and fixed. But before I took it to All Volvo, I tried one more time at an outside shop and took it to Firestone in Ballard.
Firestone started out well but soon when down hill. I think they are great and very nice i.e, Courtney and Ken are very professional. So much so that it came down to them telling me that a car like a Volvo needs to be seen by specialized technicians. I randomly found All Volvo.
The team of mechanics, the owner Kim and his shop manager Jesse are the best Volvo mechanics. They are straight up and to the point with how much things cost and run a clean professional shop. Volvo's are not cheap to fix and I thought I could get away with cheaper fixes over the years but all that's done has made recent repairs more expense because more has to be done, due to neglect, rather than a annual maintence. I only take my S40 to All Volvo and hope you will as well. -

There are better places to take your Volvo in Seattle. Keep looking.
Edit: people think this doesn't say enough, so I'm expanding. I've owned Volvos for at least 35 years, done a lot of work myself, and have used or know about every Volvo mechanic in Seattle (prior to 2005). I know what I'm talking about. The thing that finally finished me on this place was being given a firm quote on something that I could have had done cheaper elsewhere. but the owner swore that his work would be better. So I went with it. The final bill was much MORE than the quote, because they'd had trouble getting the parts apart, and then they had to replace something they'd damaged. When I complained, the attitude was "well, that's the way it is. " That's not customer service or the way to treat someone who had been a long time customer. I noticed that the work and service had been steadily declining, so I moved on and found someone I could trust. There are a lot of stories about this place, and I stand by my original review - you can find a better place.
