I'm kind of surprised to be the first person to review All the Hands - this place is great.

I took my gf here for her birthday for a two-hour pottery wheel class ($40 pp).  The price included the clay, instruction, firing and painting of the pottery and any glazes.  There were four people in the class on a Saturday afternoon so it's very hands on.  They walk you through the basic five steps of forming a low fire clay pot, and then repeat the process several times and add some different techniques once you get the basics down.  Once the class is over, you wait about two weeks for them to fire the pot the first time, you come back and paint and glaze the pottery, then it's the final firing and you're done.

No sitting fees to use the pottery wheels, which is awesome; you can buy the clay there, which I believe is $10 for 25 lbs of low fire clay.  To have them fire your pottery, they charge for small / med / large sizes and then about a quarter per inch over that.

I've been to As You Wish, but this place is so much better.  They do have many pots / mugs / figures to just come in and paint, if you're into that.  If you're still not convinced, bring a bottle of wine or six-pack; they won't mind.  With a little liquid courage, please refrain from acting out Ghost.
