Review from Lyndsay R.
Chicago, IL
I have been getting trained by AST since Aug 2010 and love this place. I joined to compliment my sport of triathlons, and really enjoy the workouts and know they helped in reaching my goals since I joined.
It is also beneficial to have monthly assessments for my body fat percentage and receive nutrition tips. The staff is very knowledgeable in overall wellness.
Because AST is a personal training gym, I feel I get better attention in the gym and outside of the gym with scheduling and if I have questions (compared to training sessions in a larger gym.)
I have never been bored with the workouts-they are constantly changing and always challenging. I love how its a total body workout in 30 minutes :) -

I have been training at AST for 1 year now. I grew up an athlete that got a little lazy and was ready to shed pounds and get back in shape. Once I started my sessions there, we focused on what else needed to be done outside the gym for me to reach my fitness goals. With their nutrition guidance and regular biosignature body measurements, I lost 27 pounds in 5 months in addition to gaining lean musle mass and losing 7% body fat. I've since set new goals and it's been fun working towards them. These folks know what they're doing, but you have to be a willing participant. Trainng sessions won't change your life alone, but making lifestyle changes outside the gym will net you the results you want - with their guidance. Zach, Christine and Sergio make a great team! Workouts are fun, varied and always a kick in the pants!

What sets this facility apart from all the others in the area are the 'extras' you get in addition to kick-butt workouts. Workouts alone aren't going to keep the weight off no matter how hard you work, and the staff here really really knows their stuff about giving you a complete lifestyle change that includes nutrition and a regular check of your body measurements throughout your program so you can see hard data supporting your results. In addition to the weight training programs here they do have cardio machines to supplement your training program. I really love the weekly emails that they send out that includes recipes. You really do get more for your money here. They also have specialty programs available that target specific 'trouble' areas such as a Booty class, Mixed Martial, and Abs. Check 'em out.

I worked with Zach for a little over 2 years. I just had a baby and needed to get back into my skinny jeans. He is professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with. You won't find another trainer like him!

History
Established in 2010
All Strength Training was founded in 2010 after Zach and Christine Trowbridge moved from Sacramento, California to Chicago, Illinois. Both Zach and Christine have an extensive background in strength training and sports. Zach played second base and right field in baseball for 10 years and trained in martial arts for 8 years, and has been a strength coach and personal trainer since 2003. Christine was a competitive swimmer and water polo athlete throughout high school and college, and her education is in kinesiology (exercise science) and has worked with semi-pro and professional athletes in their strength and conditioning programs.
All Strength Training was opened in 2010 to give Zach and Christine the ability to help those who need it and pass on their love of fitness and health.
