Review from N P.

In late spring 2011, new netting was installed on the cages, which allows the balls to reliably filter back to the machines. In my experience, the operation runs smoothly since this upgrade. I like the arm-style pitching machines that they use.

Place is a dump. Not that its run down, but went there on a sunday afternoon and there were 6 stalls but only 2 working, which were both booked to close. Was denied and wasted my time driving there. Save your efforts on another batting cage.

This place is a labor of love and an asset to our neighborhood. Great instructors and nicest staff ever.

Review from Seth J.

The cages are definitely old, as the previous reviewer said, and we do often need the attention of the attendant to either adjust the machine or to reload it with balls.
On the plus side, the instructors, Eric and Alex, are quite good. Eric is a former major league pitcher, and he knows how to teach not only hitting, fielding, and pitching, but also windmill softball pitching. We've worked with Alex on hitting only, but he was very helpful. -

This place is really a batting cage with some extras. You can book time with an instructor and get some individual attention. In addition, they run some summer programs. This is the good part of All-Star.
The bad part is the cages themselves, which are tiny and decrepit. Frequently one machine or another is not working. You will constantly be asking the attendant to fix the machine, which has either stopped pitching balls, or has simply stopped entirely.
If you're just looking to get in some swings, you could do better. If you're looking to have some fun with your kid, this place is ok (there's an area in the back where you can play catch, and there are many other activities available in the immediate area, including a miniature golf course, skate park, and tennis courts). I have never hired the instructors so I can't speak to that.
