My partner and I don't get many chances to dine out for sushi, but when we do this is the best place we've found in all of massachusetts !

The service, atmosphere and decor is wonderful!

All of the sushi we've tried is fresh and delicious !  The portions are generous and we've loved every appetizer and entree we've tried!

The drinks especially the mai tais are authentic, delicious and powerful !!
They are made frsh with a blend of juices and rums ! They are NOT from a sour, sugar and salt based pre mix that are all too common at many asian restaraunts!

Hopefully,we can get there again soon!

Food was fine. It was quite fresh but nothing noteworthy. We had salmon sashimi wrapped in cucumber, a delicious grilled calamari and my date has some simple sushi.
Server didn't know the cocktails, wine list or menu well.
I would eat here again but I would not go out of my way for it.

A sceney Pan-Asian haüs with TVs behind the bar and impeccable service. Not to mention epic - yes, we're raising epic from the dead - EPIC crab rangoon always ordered before beautifully plated chow. Total win.

Don't get to stuck on the fact that a few entrees appear multiple times in the menu (and in the case of Basil Duck Thai Chili Style, with different prices), or that said menu covers every Asian province, nook and cranny, the dishes are high qual.

Personal pick: Basil Crispy Duck the Drunken Noodles Thai Style or any specialty roll off their maki menu. The visual appeal, seasoning, sauces and absence of that lead-ball-in-the-stomach aftermath will have you appreciating the lightness of their being.

But let's not forget the start of every meal here: RANGOON! Plump, practically bulging pockets of crab (krab?), cream cheese and onion in a wonton, fried to a perfectly crisp brown. Dining with Kara G and accompanied by Jacob and Jess R, I felt pangs of nervousness as we ordered the app, fearful that I may have overhyped. Their pornographic eye rolls and double-fisting of the golden triangles spoke to the contrary; these things are really that sinsational.

Powerful drinks (including scorpion bowls, you co-eds), the killer grub and a meticulously maintained interior make All Seasons not only a decent dinner spot for Maldenizens, but a destination joint for greater Boston.

I went here for lunch today on a friends recommendation. We got there and I quickly figured out that the staff couldn't care less if you were there as long as your money is green. The service was beyond bad. When I ordered my Drunken Noodle I asked to have the soup switched to Wanton. They would not do it no matter what I said. That's a lack of customer service. It's soup! Really what is the difference in cost between Hot and Sour and Wanton soup?

The meal took over 30 minuted to arrive at the table. At lunch time when people are having lunch on their break that is way too long. I can say the food I did eat was delicious. Unfortunately not good enough to make we want to feel like a bother to the staff to go back. Waiter did not come back to ask how things were and I can't remember any of them cracking even a hint of a smile! Oh wait, one did, when he took the check!

Bottom line is avoid this place at all cost. There are far too many Chinese/Sushi places to get a decent meal at a better price and far better service.

For food, drinks, and atmosphere, I'd give All Seasons 5 stars, but the no-reservations-for-parties-less-than-six and the 10-20 people clustered inside the door waiting for a table just intimidates me. In the literal sense. Standing in a crowd as you vie for a seat at the bar is just so desperate and unappealing.

Luckily for me, my vie eye was on its game that night and we did grab two seats at the bar, so we decided to eat there.

Drinks were perfectly strong -- major kick but still yummy. Great sushi -- the all seasons maki was delish! Miso soup was perfect, salad was good but I prefer a creamier ginger dressing. None of the food disappointed AT. ALL.

Service at the bar was a LITTLE slow but not bad. Didn't feel rushed to leave at all. Total bill wasn't bad, just over $100 for 3 drinks each, soup, salad, and an entree for each of us.

Can't wait to come back, but may be more strategic about the timing.

Its decent Americanized Asian food but a bit on a pricey side. Service is ok and atmosphere was alright. Nothing much to say other than if you're into PF Chang-style cuisine and there's no PF Chang around then this is for you.

I love this place! I usually come here after work with my co-workers from yoki & I love drinking here! I recommend their thai basil fried rice, with whatever you want like beef, chicken or shrimp. Another dish I like is there filet mignon udon noodles! A little bit expensive at $30 but its ok I still love it here! I recommend this place for drinking, since the prices are farely priced, and made just right, and also to munch on different types of food! :)

    A MUST TRY!

I go often.  The food is fantastic.  Every once in a while I am there when there is live jazz and it's done at levels to really enjoy a meal to. It is a relaxed, but classy, decor that set the mood for a fabulous visit every time.

The service is excellent.  On one visit, my date and I decided that we were going to go to a movie after dinner and didn't know which theater was closest.  We asked our waiter but he didn't know.  With out us asking, he took the time to ask the hostess. She came over and asked what we were planning on seeing and we told her the film we had in mind. After discussing films for a minute she let us know she would be right back.  She came back with the nearest theater, a list of movie times and directions. Unheard of service these days.

I am an 90's corporate mid-manager and I'm entertaining our Japanese clients. I take them to All Seasons Table, we have strong Mai Tais at $12 a pop and a boat of alright sushi, listen to some live jazz music and laugh about American ladies' mini skirts. We get drunk and sweaty and cop a feel at some neon-lipsticked temptress walking by. The Scorpion Bowl on our table gets toppled over, and the put-upon Japanese waiter (Japanese-American, but since I'm a white male corporate square, I don't see the difference) cleans it up with a forced smile. We throw a couple of hundreds on the table and are about to wobble out of the restaurant when a German terrorist takes Mr Yakamoto hostage. He thinks it's all part of an elaborate entertainment, but it's serious... deadly serious.

I am lowering my previous 4 star review because I've been there about 20 times since writing it and that hostess still doesn't acknowledge my existence. I stand there like an idiot while she checks her blackberry until she looks right through me with a thousand yard stare and leads me to a table.

The food is still great, but I feel like a chump every time I go there. In fact, I think I won't go there anymore. i can spend my money somewhere else.

That said, the people in other reviews who complained about the volume of the un-amplified background jazz group may want to consider the serious possibility that they are , in fact, old farts. It's acoustic jazz - musical wallpaper- it just barely even exists on the auditory plane. It couldn't possibly be any more unobtrusive. If it's too loud for you, you are way too snooty and refined for us to be friends, I'm afraid.

Been here a couple of times with friends because it's close to where I live.

I am Chinese so I hate to pay for overpriced Asian food because honestly, Asian food should NEVER be expensive (unless you're paying for sushi). This place was good food and good service but I think it's overpriced.

I've gotten the drunken noodles and at $11 before tax, that is almost double the price of Chinatown. It was pretty good but for that price, I'd expect more in terms of quantity (Sorry, that is the Asian in me).

If you're looking for authentic Asian food (without the frills and jazz music), go next door to Pho Hoa.

Yes, this place is a hidden gem, nestled in the heart of Malden.

I have been here tons of times, and never disappointed.

The spicy edamame is excellent, the spicy tuna appetizer is also amazing.  And I also agree with John B. that anything "torched" is great.  I have had tons of rolls and they have all been excellent.  The drinks are also good too, and well worth the price--in other words, they are very strong.  ;)

Oh, and the live jazz band is a total bonus!

Went here for dinner last night with my friend.  I've gotten takeout for lunch from here before, but I've never dined in.  The food was good, but the service was on the slow side.  We waited for what seemed like forever for our food.  I was very surprised that the pad thai we ordered came out before the sushi.

We ordered the Billy Nasty sushi roll, another roll that had scallop and king crab, and a pad thai.

The sushi rolls were pretty tasty and were sizable portions.  The pad thai didn't taste that authentic to me, more like Chinese style noodles, but it was still good.

My friend TJ who is a huge fan of all season's table finally convinced us to get to Malden to this phenomenal restaurant.
All Season's located on hip Pleasant street in Malden seems to be the hip place to be. Surrounded by a mix, diverse crowd, enjoying lavish scorping bowls, refreshing pineapple mai tai's or some local beers and extensive wine list. As you walk in you see the guest enjoying there night out.

Infront of a jazz band that is feeling the funk. We are greated my the owner Doug who is high energy smooching & greeting  his guests. Making sure there experiences it's what they merit. We settled on the black cod appetizer with an amazing zesty sauce....oustanding.
The spicy edemame were to perfection. I think I ate most of the bowl.
The crunchy fried ribs were spectacular. Service was wonderful
    I will definitely be back!

For my 300th review I give a full five stars to All Seasons Table.  A friend of mine who is connected to another of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the greater Boston area suggested we go.  I have to tell you it gets a full Holy Cow!

I had the honor of meeting the owner Douglas and his lovely and gracious wife on my visit.  The food which was presented was not only excellent in quality, flavor and presentation it was also fun and unique.  We had many different types of food.  The sashimi lobster was amazing.  The front half was still kicking as we enjoyed his tail.  The chef then came out and took the head and claws and prepared them in the most amazing fashion.  We also had crispy shrimp and uni.  I will tell you I have never had such fresh ingredients.  The urchins had been collected that afternoon.  Amazing!  Five Stars

The atmosphere is a blend of bar, private dining and traditional dining. The service is excellent.  The glass never went unfilled.  Again excellent five stars.  Then you combine this with Douglas as your attentive host and wow!  I can't say more about what a special experience it was to have dinner here.  The staff feels like friends you have known for a good part of your life.

Douglas has given Boston a true treasure, yea it's in Malden, who would have thunk it?  If you are visiting on holiday, make All Season's Table a big part of your experience.

Don't let the name fool you into thinking there is any lack of sophistication.  The chefs here are so proud of their product and it shows.  Kudos, encore, I will return.

Caveat: this review is for lunch.

It's not so much that this place is bad, it's just not good. I had the crispy, spicy shrimp special which was essentially shrimps deep fried in a flour batter then submerged in think spicy sauce, which rendered them soggy. My fiancé had the vietnamese noodle bowl which he didn't enjoy so much as he had to pour the sauce over the noodles. The fried rice was over-fried and a dark brown (I'm used to it being light brown- perhaps too heavy on the oil or soy sauce.

On the pro-side, it's nicely decorated in neo-modern Asian style, our lunch bill was less than $25 for 2 and"90's R&B" Pandora station plays while you're eating lunch.

I came here last weekend with my friend and a group who have been frequenting All Seasons for awhile now. I didn't have high expectations, but I was really surprised at how good everything was! I'm still having dreams about the spicy edamame. I got one of the specials, which was ahi tuna over fried sushi-style rice, and it was delicious and innovative. I've never seen that dish anywhere else.

It seems like a pretty popular place, as it was almost at capacity at 6:30 on a Saturday night. Now I know why!

I'm not sure what this place is trying to be, but it appears to be succeeding... and that might be precisely why.  Visited AST for the first time on 8/17/11 (a Wednesday night), and was impressed overall.  Let's bring out the stereotypes to describe the experience.

Stereotype 1: Any place that's "pan-asian" usually fails at doing anything exceptional because it tries to do too much.  Not the case at AST: from my friend's thai-inspired pepper chicken and my distinctively korean kimchee stir-fry, to the mouthwateringly good looking sushi at the next table over, the food left nothing to be desired, and challenged my initial skepticism upon seeing the lengthy menu.  Don't skip the appetizers here either: you know you've hit a creative asian restaurant, perhaps even worthy of the word "fusion," when they manage to do something creative with something as mundane as edamame; in this case, the spice was finger-licking good (and I NEVER lick my fingers in a restaurant ;o)

Stereotype 2: Any ethnic restaurant that has a significant clientele of the same ethnicity as the restaurant's is a sure bet.  This is a tricky stereotype to talk about, particularly in this case, but I've been to a number of places supporting this maxim, and I'm happy to say it's definitely the case at AST: I overheard plenty of japanese, mandarin, and korean; and all patrons in the space no matter the ethnicity seemed to be relishing their meals as much as we were.  Just keep in mind that a person for example of japanese origin might not necessarily be there to eat japanese food.

Stereotype 3: Pan-asian restaurants are all about the drinks.  A funny stereotype, this one, and fortunately (or unfortunately) not true at AST.  Their wine selection had a couple gaps that could easily be filled, and their cocktails didn't knock the ball out of the park or anything, but then again they more than made up for it with the food - the drinks were the least of our concerns (and in this writer's opinion, perhaps a bit overpriced considering the location).

Be prepared to make reservations or wait, even on a weeknight, although the service seemed efficient during our particular visit.  And be ok with a lackluster atmosphere.  At least they didn't go for the kitschy/cliché polynesian look that so many pan-asian restaurants adopt by default... but the "modern" decor seems a bit forced, even if it does instill a feeling of cleanliness into the dining experience at AST.  From the reviews of other yelpers, it looks like the live music nights are also something of an acquired taste.  I'm nevertheless definitely looking forward to my next visit!

Everything there tastes amazing so I will just highlight one thing.  The oysters are the cleanest freshest you will ever taste.  He actually inspects them once shucked and would rather throw one that doesnt reach his almost OCD like quality expectations than serve it too you.

Finally went there for dinner with a friend who enjoys good sushi as much as I do. Jazz trio was really good. We both go to Sei Bar in Medford and agree that it is our favorite local sushi bar. My previous review is basically still the same. Food is really good but the service is suspect. To the point that I was tempted to speak with the manager about 1 of the "bartenders". Here is my opinion between AST and Sei Bar. All male waitstaff versus all female waitstaff. The guys look like they don't care and it shows. I love the spicy edamame but think I will stick to Sei Bar for good service.

    Original review 9/19/11
Pros- The Food. Plain and simple this food kicks ass. I have only gone twice but am sold on it. The spicy edamame is a must have.

Cons- The service and the cost. Like I said I've only gone twice. Once for takeout and once for lunch. The front desk person was sorta new so I will cut her a break on my takeout order. The waiter I had at lunch was not personable and a little rude at times. Thankfully the food is awesome or I would of shown my dissent in his tip. Plus when do they not have free refills on soda? Really? This was a whiskey drink glass not the usual tall glass. Two bucks a whack for half a drink. For a supposed high class place this was a little chintzy.

I will go back for the spicy edamame though...

Fresh, cold oysters. Sushi nigiri. Crab rangoon, gyoza, basil thai fried rice. Sushi pizza. Martinis, sake, and maitais.

All of these things at All Seasons are AMAZINGLY delicious!!!

Bonuses? A live jazz trio Thursday through Saturday, decent wait staff, and attentive and friendly bartenders.

For a sushi joint, the prices are to be expected. You're paying for high-quaility sushi and asian-fusion, and high-quality cocktails.

As far as sushi goes, I've yet to find any place that truly compares.

I live in the Malden area and have been to All Seasons a dozen times or so. The food here is really good and the selection is pretty decent, so I have no complaints about the cuisine itself. My main complaint here is the service - the hostesses and wait staff consistently treat patrons like they are not worthy of notice.

My latest and most unsettling example of this indifference came on my latest visit - I was with a friend who ordered a salad that came with sesame salad dressing, and when the waiter delivered the plate he ended up dumping the dressing all over my friend's lap and onto my jacket. He was very apologetic and brought us napkins to help clean the mess, but at the end of the meal we were hoping to at least have a conversation about compensation for the mishap - not necessarily expecting to get a free meal out of it, but at least to discuss the fact that our experience (and clothes) had been stained, quite literally. However, he brought us the bill (and a free small slice of cake) and didn't mention anything else about the issue. So we asked to speak with the manager with whom we explained that we would need to dry clean the jacket and my friend's sweater to remove the dressing and that we had to spend the majority of our dining experience stuck to our seats with this dressing in our clothes. His solution was to 'take care of our drinks' on the bill - not a terrible idea, but we hadn't really been drinking and the drink total was around $10. I explained that the free drinks wouldn't even cover the dry cleaning cost, never mind make up for the annoying experience of the evening - he said that I could bring him the bill from the dry cleaner and he would pay me back, and tried to shake my hand and walk away from the whole thing. Maybe I just have a higher expectation of quality from my restaurants (especially one where a dinner for two routinely costs $100+), but this seemed pretty inadequate to me. It never seemed to occur to this manager that it was less about the money and more about the experience. After explaining our stance multiple times and never making headway, I realized that either he was too stubborn or the language gap was too wide, and we weren't going to get anywhere - so we simply left without paying a tip (which in turn covered the cost of the dry cleaning).

Despite the good food and the fun location, I can't see myself going here again anytime soon - their customer relations approach was that bad. So my advice to you - beware any interaction with the staff beyond simple food & drinks orders, and don't expect them to give you any professional courtesy just because you'll be paying them plenty of money for their services.

Had I known this restaurant was in Malden Center I may have never given it a shot!  My friend said I'm bringing you to a fabulous sushi restaurant and I am not telling you where it is.  Ok, so we drive into Malden Center and I am completely skeptical.  Let me say that I am a complete sushi snob.  Having lived in California for years, I have to say that they have much better tasting and more creative sushi on the West Coast.  Since being back East, I'll say that Oishi on Rte (the original) and Douzo are my favorites.  So, I find myself walking into a modern restaurant (unexpected) in Malden...this place belongs in the city - Boston or NY.  Why do I say that...well, it is a modern spot, long well designed and equipped bar, anyway...unexpected for my venture to Malden Center.  The service at the bar was great (very attentive), the appetizers and sushi were excellent...and creative, and the drinks were  well balanced and tasty.  Oh and they have live jazz on the weekend.

This place is just so good and the bartenders and the owner are just great. I have yet to miss here and go often.

Beautiful atmosphere, jazz band on weekends, delicious foods and drinks. The sushi is marvelous, highly recommend. May be a bit pricey for some, but it is totally worth it on account of you get what you pay for. Best spicy seafood salad ever, it was an absolute pleasure eating it, I just wish the portion was a bit larger! The edamame is wonderful & yellow tail was so fresh. Just talking about this place makes me happy. Servers are delightful in my opinion. Very clean. Highly recommend for a night out. Will always be returning. Enjoy.

I can't help but feel out of place at times when dining at All Seasons Table. The atmosphere and decor are what give me the feeling that I am infiltrating a side of life that I am quite out of bounds from. That side of life being the upscale, business, Friday-Downtown-Spend-A-Thon Dining and Drinks Crowd (Live Jazz on the weekends). Wouldn't this render a poorer Yelp score for this pan-asian restaurant?

Certainly NOT! This is a place that I not only frequent, but go out of my way to bring people to. I usually end up here for lunch on the weekends, when it is significantly less bustling, and close-quarters. They recently expanded into the vacant store front to the left, making dinner service more approachable for the crowds eager to have a Downtown-Boston dining experience minus the horrendous amounts of time and money wasted on said experience.

Shockingly affordable lunch menu. About $13 dollars each plus tip last time the lady and I went. We each got a seaweed salad, she a maki-roll, and I the fragrant rainbow vegetables. Portions are gracious, not overwhelming. The green tea is WORTH the money you pay for it. Friendly wait-staff. Food that is defiantly fresh for this type of fair.

Spare yourself the tortures of the Downtown scence, and be able to revel in the joys of All Seasons Table.

Great experience overall.  Service and food were great.  Music was a bit loud and table seating in front of the bar, where everyone was bumping into me as I ate, was a bit annoying.

    Id def go back here.

Recommend the drunken noodles. KungPao chicken was good but wasnt the usual KungPao Ive had. It lacked heat and no peanuts?

This place came highly recommended, so I finally went here for the first time last week.

My initial impression was clouded by the fact that we apparently went into the "music" side of the place. The band was so loud I could barely hear myself think. After requesting a quieter table, we were taken to the other side (apparently the "non-music" side) of the place. Much nicer.

Then we ordered. Both dishes we ordered were supposed to be 'hot & spicy' but neither were. More like a slight hint of spice. One was borderline bland. In addition, we asked for brown rice, at which time we were informed that brown rice was an additional $1. Fine, we said. Food comes out, and bingo! no brown rice. When we point this out, we are given a side of brown rice, which was fine. But, I mean if you actually take the time to tell us it's $1 more, how about actually bringing it?

Drinks were overpriced (wait, we're in Malden, right?), but decent.

All in all very disappointing. Won't be going back.

Who doesn't like to feel fancy? I know I do, and All Seasons Table seems to as well...although it doesn't do a great job at it (whereas I feel fanciness is one of my talents).

Anyway, I've ordered delivery here several times, and have always been impressed (considering it's an Asian fusion place randomly in the middle of Malden). But, I wanted to wait until I had visited in person to Yelp it, and unfortunately, I think the sit-down experience  caused me to lower what would have otherwise been a 4-star review.

The first thing I noticed upon walking in the door of All Seasons was the very loud jazz band. So loud that I had to repeat myself to the host (and all I was saying was "two," nothing complicated). And, here's the thing: I'm at an Asian Fusion place in Malden looking to eat some food and go elsewhere; I am not at the Beehive in the South End looking to rock out, feel fabulous, and be seen. Jazz band: too much for the venue.

On to the food. The first thing we tried were the lettuce wraps. Now, I figure that a key descriptive word when discussing lettuce wraps is "wraps," because it describes exactly what they are. However, All Seasons  took the liberty of making theirs into lettuce tacos. You know how tacos are sort of explosive and messy? Same goes when you're eating tacos made of iceberg lettuce. Once again: I just want to eat some food here, All Seasons - no need to make me think outside the box. (or wrap. ha, ha.)

Main dish: sushi was good, and contrary to the tacos, very basic: caterpillar role was the smallest of its kind I've ever seen - particularly saddening because it was twice the price of the other role I ordered. Drunken noodles were decent; pretty much what one would expect. So, I guess because the fare was so standard and All Seasons wanted to keep up its fancy image, they attached hefty price tags to everything we ordered. I mean, it does make sense.

I may order from here again. Then again, I may just look for a place that has the goods to back up a fancy image, or a place that doesn't mind looking like a hole in the wall because its food is awesome.
