Review from Thomas R.
Livermore, CA
A thoroughly positive experience. Wait staff was attentive, but not 'in your face'. I ordered braised halibut with dill mashed potatoes, savory peas and carrots. The texture of the fish was firm yet tender; the flavor subtly outstanding! Dill sauce enhanced the savory veggie sides. Paired with a top-caliber Pinot Grigio, this was a meal to boast about. It is worth noting that they have a 25-page wine list, featuring contenders from the valley and beyond.
My partner had Dungeness crab cakes, succulent and fresh, along with a nouveau cuisine slaw and a side of garlic mashed potatoes.
Portions were quite sane, leaving room for a dessert course: strawberry bread pudding and a sorbet flight.
Prices: moderately high; but this is the Napa valley -- the real deal, and worth every penney. -

Highly recommended for dinner, All Seasons boasted a 25-page wine list that included wines by the taste, glass, bottle or half liter. For a busy Saturday night it was surprising that owner Gayle Keller could not only make the time to be solicitous to my needs but to also chat about wine. I thoroughly enjoyed pairing Gayle's company to lobster salad sliders, wild mushroom and asparagus risotto, braised short ribs, dark chocolate tort and hazelnut crème brulee.

We had a great lunch here!
We both started with salads. And whoa...they were huge and around $10-$12. He got some salad with really good bacon and artichoke on it. I ordered the beet salad. Normally when you order a salad with beets, it comes with maybe 3-5 slices of beets...this was layered up!! I was so happy.
For lunch, he had the bouillabase (loved it) and I had the salmon blt (super loved it!). The fries were great as well!!
The service was superb! She was super friendly and also informative. We had a great experience and I think this is the best meal we had in Calistoga/St Helena while we visited.
The food was presented beautifully as well. I took pictures! -

My hubby and I were visiting Calistoga for the first time and found this place via Yelp. I had the Mac n' Cheese with truffle oil and my husband had a hamburger. It was delicious! Just the right amount of truffle oil and cooked nicely. My husband also loved his meal. The ambiance was nice and quiet and the staff was super attentive and helpful. We'll be back again the next time we're in the area :)

I asked for a dirty Kettle One martini and it was mostly olive juice. Other than that everything was great. I had a burger that was really good with blue cheese and bacon. Everyone else in my group cleaned their plate so I'm guessing they liked their entrees. I can't remember what they were however, too many martinis!

Just finished an experience with all seasons that started very positive and got progressively worse over the course of two months.
Attempted to hire them for a medium sized wedding. Initial visit was very good as our point person was easy-going and and helpful. Tasting got pretty high ratings, though it didn't necessarily stand out next to the other 3 caterers we tried in the area. Decided to move forward because we liked the idea of working with a smaller catering company - believed we'd get more attention and better service.
We asked them to help us come up with something unique in the meal - a little flair. Presentation, unique theme, whatever....she seemed excited at first but never followed up and never delivered on this. Meanwhile....
Contract discussions were very challenging. There were a number of strange things incorporated into the pricing that we called out. All Seasons would either play dumb or just give the equivalent of "it is what it is". Leaves a bad taste. Finally we stopped trying to challenge individual costs that just seemed like margin adders and just said: "Look, we need you to help us get this a bit lower to fit in our budget. Help us, get creative." They came back by cutting from the quality of our wedding meal instead of trimming the fat out of their contract. Still....we gave in and simply asked they help bring the bartending service (subcontracted to BBC)- who was inexplicably overcharging us by 150% - into line. A simple task as their rates are advertised. Nothing. More "it is what it is".
Finally....after discussing the opportunity with them for two months, and telling them two weeks ago they'd been chosen and we'd sign the contract once the incorrect bartending pricing was corrected......out of no where they just emailed to say that they booked a different event for the same date. No courtesy heads up. No "hey...someone else wants the date...we need your deposit now or we're going to take this other opportunity" - which everyone else seems to do in the wedding industry. Infuriating.
I'd go to a more professional place. -
Review from Nicole F.
Their burger is one of the best ones I have ever tasted....beat out Grace's Table in Napa. The fries were better here too. Also tried a pear salad - not big enough to make a lunch out of, but still very good.
Wish they had a better selection of wines by the glass. We had great service so I would defnitely return for that burger again! -
Review from Sarah O.
Ate here on a recent trip to Calistoga. I had the vegetarian lasagna which was very tasty and had that "homemade" quality. It was very good. We also had the lamb spring rolls, which were also good, but I'm not a big fan of lamb, so....
My husband and our friend had the lamb dish for dinner and they both devoured it.
I don't really understand the "bad service" reviews. This is not a turn and burn place people. In fact, I saw this same complaint with a lot of the Calistoga restaurants. This is an area to relax and take your time.
Our server was attentive, but not annoying. When one person in our party ordered a Cosmo, they didn't have everything they needed to make it, so they went and bought it. It took extra time, but they also didn't charge us for the drink. We sat and talked and had drinks for about 2 hours after our meal. I personally love an environment like this, where you can relax and enjoy yourself instead of being hurried out of the place.
It was good and fresh!Listed in: Calistoga, CA

Classy, clean delicious. We were the only people in the restaurant so we did get good service on a Sunday morning.
I had the special watermelon and canteloupe with grilled prawns on top of mixed greens. There were only 4 prawns. Everything was so fresh. I also had the duck spring rolls. delish but small portions, so if you are a big eater not the best place. -
Review from Sheila S.
All Seasons is in a great location in downtown Calistoga and has a good variety and fair range of prices for lunch; however, the lack of service makes it hard to give this place a good rating. We went for lunch on a weekday when the restaurant was less than half occupied. Despite the lack of a crowd, our lunch still took about an hour and a half for no good reason.
The food was good. I had a strawberry salad with mixed greens for $8, which was a perfect light lunch portion. My husband a bowl of the lobster bisque with fresh bread for $8 and he enjoyed it as well.
All in all, if you don't mind waiting, this is a nice place to stop for a more gourmet-style, fresh lunch. ] -

Napa, CA
So many restaurants in Napa. So little time.
This is nice little spot with a menu that changes accordingly.
My friend and I shared the roasted beet salad with micro greens and mache with citrus vinaigrette. The entree was risotto with figs.
Everything was delicious. It's a good one. -

Bay Area, CA
It was just OK here Dawg...just OK.
I sent back my Lobster Bisque...cold, runny and lacking flavor.
The warm Spinach Cobb salad was DELISH.
The Prawn Risotto entree needed lots of salt & pepper.
The lemon-blueberry bread pudding topped with plop of whipped cream was freakin fantastic!!
Service was so-so, ambiance blah and pricing hefty for what you get. But I suppose this comes with the territory.
I would come here again...much better than Brennans. -

Ironic that Calistoga lacks seriously good eats, but All Seasons is one of them. Glad it now serves lunch; we certainly got good food at a great value.
Not sure how someone could say that it "didn't look as inviting," b/c it's Back to the Future / Main St. diner: CHARMING. Definitely a small town ambiance with casual class, not rustic & sloppy casual.
Portions are relatively generous. Lobster bisque was decadent! Each dish was excellent. My friends and I enjoyed our orders: fresh & appetizing salads, savory sandwiches (salmon or milanesa highly recommended) on great buns / rolls! Not super fancy, but what I expect from my neighborhood bisto for sure.
Tip: SKIP the starter bread and cold, hard butter. Save your tummy real estate for the delicious food. We also skipped dessert, which could have sent us into food comas! -

After leaving Hydro for lack of service, we were grateful to be greeted immediately upon entering this establishment. Our server was very attentive. The asparagus soup was light, and fresh. The baby back ribs were meaty and very tasty. We had an amazing trio of mango, pineapple and guava sorbet to finish our meal. Will return to this restaurant for sure.

My friends and I found this place on Yelp during our visit to Napa. What attracted me to this place was the lobster bisque. However when we got there they were still serving brunch so no lobster bisque for me. Sadness! Their brunch menu was limited to only a couple of dishes but they all sounded pretty good. I ended up with the Eggs Benedict which was tasty. They added some kind of pesto sauce to it that made it taste delicious. The dish looked small but it was super filling. It came with a side of hashbrowns.
My only complaint was the service. On a non-busy day they were super slow. The waitress kept giving the dishes to the wrong person. And I asked for change for a $20 and it took her forever. I specifically asked for a $10 bill and 10 $1's but she gave me a $10 bill and 2 $5's.
I would come back again just for the food. Hopefully their service will be a little better next time. -
Review from Laila P.
OK food/OK service. We started with the duck confit spring rolls which were good but for $9 we were expecting more than the four tiny pieces that came. They were served with a really delicious plum sauce so that was a plus. For my entree I had the crusted salmon and dill mashed potatoes. I couldn't taste the dill at all but the fish was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were the perfect texture. Boyfriend had the tuna tartare for dinner with mango and avocado with fresh wonton chips. It was also, really good. Randomly, dessert came out... chocolate cake and a scoop of coffee ice cream. It WASN't on our bill, it WAS delicious. So ya. A good experience but not a great experience overall. We'll probably try this place another time.

Nice place to eat if you're in Calistoga. Came in just in time after 6 pm they get busy. Service was decent, a little slow but they do pay attention to your needs. Like bringing you water when they notice your cup is running on empty. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the lamb. All very tasty.
Dessert, we ordered the bread pudding, told myself I'd only have a few bites, of course, couldn't resist in eating most of it. So good!!!
One down fall, only one restroom available. Don't like having to wait by the bar area to use the restroom.
I notice the lady who was slicing the bread drop a few slices on the floor, I was thrilled to see her pick up the ones that fell on the floor and throw them away!!
We'll go back if in the area. -
Review from Yun C.
After walking around the downtown Calistoga and checking the menus of all the restaurants around, we decided to go to All Seasons because they have more selections.
We went for a late dinner (we arrived around 9PM) and the restaurant was not busy. There were a large and loud group and a couple other tables. We decided to seat by the window hoping that we could have more of a private time and escape the noise of the large group.
The inside is actually nicer than the pictures on the website..although the decor is not as fancy as other restaurants like Brannan, Flatiron, Jole or Barolo's. So if you're looking for a fancier place, All Seasons is probably not the place.
We ordered the following:
Appetizer: Salad with Foie Gras, grapes (preserved) and toasted Bruchetta. This was actually our favorite dish of the whole dinner. Everything melted in the mouth.. very very yummmm! ($12)
Appetizer: Lobster Bisque $8, I appreciate that they toned down the salt so that it was easy to sip the whole bowl! It was very smooth and delicious, sooth my throat perfectly.
Main Course: Duck Breast served with unidentified roots veggie and artichoke hearts and wild rice with lots of mushroom. I love everything and literally licked my plate ($21 or $22). This was a bit on the salty side, but not too salty.
Main course: Their special California Bollournaise??? (sorry bad spelling). It's basically a seafood stewed (Fish, mussels, clams) served with toasted bruschetta and hollaindaise sauce. The broth was pretty salty too, but it was tasty. ($21 or $22)
The food was good, but portion was small. We would not be full without the appetizers. Also, I wish they serve free bread. I love bread and enjoy to eat bread before the main course.
We also ordered two 3 oz glasses of Riesling ($5 each) that weren't as good as the usual Riesling that we love.
We passed on the dessert because they ran out of a couple items and we didn't like the other items left.
Total check was around $77 including tax.
Service was friendly but not attentive. I would think in a nice restaurant, especially since they weren't busy, they should be more attentive...but nope! Our water was not refilled and they didn't ask us whether we wanted more wine (or even anything else).
The guy who works the bar was very nice and informative though...we asked about winery recommendation and he talked to us for quiet a bit about it.
Overall, we had a great meal and although it was more towards the pricey side, I think it's expected for dining in Calistoga. -

I read the reviews here and thought this would be a great place to try. Wrong! The wait staff seemed to be confused about who was looking after our table - we received the wine by the glass menu and it was taken away 2 minutes later. Just weird.
We ordered the tuna tartare to start and it was good aside from the thick mayo-like substance underneath the tuna that was too heavy for the dish.
Then came the main entry - butternut squash risotto. It was the most bland risotto dish I've ever tasted. Once I added salt (several times) it was just OK. The mushrooms were plain button, the squash was OK and the zucchini cubes were ridiculously undercooked. My expectations for a tasty, roasted, autumn dish were dashed at first taste. Very disappointed.
My husband has the vegetable lasagna and that looked like a better dish and tasted better, too. I wish I had ordered that....
Will not be visiting All Seasons again. -

We've walked by All Seasons Bistro a number of times and found it to be closed. So we were pleasantly surprised that while on our way to Hydro (also owned by the same owners as All Seasons) we found it open. Been to Hydro a few times, never to All Seasons, but it stands to reason, if one is good, the other should be too.
All Seasons is the "higher" end of the two restaurants. Nicer set-up with tables and chairs, nicer ambience, more of an upscale menu. I had the Salmon BLT, a very nice piece of salmon with the BLT and a lemon/dill aioli ($12.00). It was very yummy. Hubby had the Lamb Pita ($12.00) nice pieces of grilled lamb with a wonderful "jus" to pour over it. We asked the waitress what was in the "jus" and she told us it was just the juice of the lamb, but I think there was more in there then that. It was great. The lamb came with a lentil salad, that was tasty, but the lentils were slightly more 'al dente then I would like them. I had the salad with mine, tasty and nicely dressed. Together we shared a bottle of 06 Burgess Merlot a bargain at $39.00.
LindySez: If you're open, they will come. -

We loved this spot. Immediately seated, looking like a reservation that we'd made wasn't necessary for this particular evening. The one wait person and her bus person were excellent, handled the entire restaurant with ease really. Although it wasn't that busy at the time we were there 745-900. We both had the steak, chard and scalloped potato's - amazing. Wine was top too. Finished off with the hazelnut crème brûlée. Very good, although the cut of steak for my girl wasn't as good as mine, even though we ordered the same dish. Still a great place, the building itself holds much history and we recommend it!

We were wine tasting the other weekend and decided to drop by this place since they had pretty high ratings on Yelp. We came in during lunch and I split an order with Elizabeth Y. We had the soup of the day (French Onion) and the French Dip Sandwich. (I know..a lot of french food...we're preparing our tummies for our trip to Paris in the summer!) The waiters were extremely nice in splitting our dishes for us! We didn't even have to ask! For the most part, I thought the food was mediocre compared to other places. The meat inside the sandwich had too many fatty parts..grosso. The salad dressing was really good..it seemed homemade and had a hint of lemon to it. yum! The bread was also tasty..it was crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the inside..my fav! The most memorable thing about the soup was its cheese.
I give this place 3.5 stars and decided to round up because the provided excellent customer service! They would've got a solid five stars if the prices weren't so expensive. We paid $14 each..we even split!Listed in: The best places to wine and…

Santa Monica, CA
Overall the experience was satisfactory. The food was delicious, no complaints on the taste, but it was a bit pricey. I suppose if you're on the main street of Calistoga, you'd charge this much. The restaurant ambiance was great with lots of natural lighting and local art for sale on the walls. I have to say though, when it's sunny outside, and the door is left open for ventilation, LOTS of motorcyclists roll thru town and the noise is a bit annoying, but I'm sure the restaurant can't help that.
Service/Staff: We were a party of 8 waited on by a gentleman with long hair --forgot to ask of his name--but he was pretty good about getting our order on time. The other girl responsible for bread was one top of it too, because as soon as the bread basket went empty, she refilled it without me asking! :) Yay, I love free bread.
Food: Pretty tasty and fresh. Food I ordered for lunch last weekend was:
*Soup of the Day: French Onion Soup--which was quite tasty, but tasted more like an oniony broth soup. it could use a bit more beef stock flavor. the gruyere cheese they added was quite pungent, so more beefiness would've made it perfect.
*Roasted Beet Salad with Micro Greens and Mache citrus vinaigrette, pickled fennel, goat cheese--delicous! and so fresh! the pickled fennel surprised me cuz I couldn't tell what it was at first, but it was a nice add to the salad. And to top it off, they added blood oranges, which gave it that extra tangy kick to the beets.
*Niman Ranch Beef Burger & Crispy Fries--pretty good. Nice beef, but I have to say it was a bit pricey cuz it was $12 for a plain burger with the usual vegetables (tomato, onion, lettuce, pickle), but if you wanted to garnish it with ANY cheese or avocado or grilled onions, you had to pay an extra $1.50 for each additional item. I wanted more on the burger, but didn't feel like ordering a $15 burger and fries...... -

We stopped in here for a quick bite because it was cold, our 2 year old was getting hungry and we still had over a half hour before we were to meet our friends across the street at Brennans. I had read that they had a good wine selection so we hopped on it. Let me preface this by saying that just about every where else we went the whole week had pretty crappy service. All Season's had GREAT service.
When you walk in with a 2 year old and tell them right off the bat that your just going to have 2 glasses of wine and an appetizer you don't expect too much. But the wait staff was really nice and really attentive. He helped my wife pair up a wine with our single item, and as I wavered between which of 2 glasses of wine to try he simply poured me a splash of each and let me decide. That is the best service for a single glass of wine I have ever had.
As for the food... man I wish we had the chance to stay and try more. The mushroom risotto was very tasty. I was dying to try the duck but we had to go. The only negative I can throw out from our little jaunt was that the bread was mediocre to poor. Little crust to speak of and dry. -

After enduring sushi at Kitani, my brother and I had a really great lunch at All Seasons.
To start he had the roasted tomato soup, which had great fresh tomato flavor. He had the burger with crispy fries. The burger was nicely sized and excellently cooked. The crispy fries were actually crispy.
I had the lamb pita, which was excellent. The lamb was tender and was cooked to perfection.
The service was excellent and very friendly. The price was very agreeable.
Overall, a great experience.

Went here with some friends on a whim and I really enjoyed it. My friends are a bit rowdy and loud, but they took well to us. I ordered the herb encrusted salmon which came with mashed potatoes. both very yummy! They just got their Full Bar liquor license it was a bit limited if you had a specific drink in mind. Nice setting, good service and good food..

Up in Calistoga to see the goats and taste some wine, we stopped in at the All Seasons for lunch based on it's Yelp profile. The ambience, service, and food were all great and I'd really recommend it for lunch.
The All Seasons is known for their wine selection, which I guess would have to be true of any good restaurant in the Napa valley. One thing I liked was that you could get a 4oz taste or an 8oz glass - helpful for maximizing your wine tasting experience.
We had the homemade butternut squash gnocchi as an appetizer, served in a little casserole dish straight out of the oven. Lovely cheese butternutty goodness and succulent homemade gnocchi - quite a treat. I got the tortilla salad wrap, which was full of veggies and mushrooms and a tasty vinaigrette. My friend got the chicken sandwich, which I'm told was also quite good. All in all, the perfect place to stop in between wineries. -
Review from Michaela S.

How does this place not have any reviews yet? I'm sure I'm certainly not the first person to dine here during a Calistoga jaunt.
Came in on Wednesday and had dinner here -- actually, I had a collection of appetizers here plus dessert, which is the best way to try a bunch of things when dining by yourself.
I ordered:
* lobster bisque
* ahi tartare
* mini lamb chop w/potatoes
* warm chocolate torte (aka molten chocolate cake)
Everything was a winner. The lobster bisque came drizzled with white truffle oil, and was rich but not overwhelmingly so. I love lobster bisque, but can't be bothered to make it at home, so I always order it when I see it on a menu, even if it's 99 degrees out, which it was. Who cares -- they have a/c.
The ahi tartare came with avocado, tomato, and a "sesame-soy aioli" which was extremely tasty on the tuna when mixed all together and applied to a wonton chip. I know ahi tartare is a total restaurant cliche these days, but as long as it's a well-executed one, who cares? The only quibble I had was the avocado was a teensy bit unripe, but hey, it happens.
The lamb chop was a good way to round out a dinner of appetizers as it was more like a small plate -- it was served with three or so fingerling potatoes browned in duck fat...mmm, duck fat. The lamb itself was four perfect medium-rare bites. There was an option to add another chop for $3 but I'm glad I didn't, as even when ordering just appetizers I didn't manage to finish dessert.
Which was a shame, as dessert was damn freaking good. The warm chocolate torte came with blackberry ice cream this week (not the peach suggested on the website), and the torte itself somehow managed to be not overwhelmingly rich while still being excellently chocolate-flavored. You know how sometimes you order chocolate lava cake and you get something that's deep black and overpowering and requires several glasses of milk to get through? That wasn't this. I liked this better. The blackberry ice cream, nicely purple, was served in a swooping chocolate tuile, which made for a very nice presentation -- wish I'd taken my camera with me.
All of the above plus a soda cost me $50 after tip. Well, dining on appetizers is expensive -- I knew what I was getting into when I did it.
The place was nearly empty when I went, probably because it was 99 degrees outside. By the time I left it had cooled down a bit and a few more people were starting to drift in.
Definite thumbs up from me! I'd totally go back. -

Made last minute reservations for 6 and they were able to give us a great section to ourselves by the front. The food was great even though it took quite a while to arrive. My friend ordered the smoked steak and it was hands down the best dish at our table. Also the desserts are delicious as well.
If only their service wasn't so poor I would have rated them higher. Rarely saw our waitress. The food and dessert took quite a while to arrive.
Also I have to mention just because it was so rude that the sommelier/some older gentlemen who serves the wine apparently wasn't happy with our choice of wine.He started to talk about another wine he had that was delicious and $200+ but then he said, "but that's for the rich people." I found this extremely rude/comical as this dinner for 6 at this restaurant cost less than when my boyfriend and I go out to dinner in San Francisco. Even though the entire table was offended we enjoyed our dinner as luckily he never came back to our table. So be careful what wine you order as you may get some unwelcome commentary! -

This is a great place to go when you need somewhere quick to sit down but still get the feel of a slightly fancy restaurant. My boyfriend and I had an appointment at a spa a few blocks away and wanted somewhere to get a little bite and drink a bottle of wine we had brought for our 2nd year anniversary. They have a corking fee of $10, which I didn't know restaurants did, and I'm not sure if that's considered average or expensive but it's better than drinking a nice bottle of wine in your car or somewhere out in 50 degree weather.
We walked in around 530PM and it was completely empty so we were a little skeptical at first but it was Veterans Day. The calamari is delicious! They fry little slices of zucchini and lemons into the dish and it's a good, light appetizer. Along with the calamari, I ordered the bread pudding which I'm totally craving right now. It had a little scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and it was the perfect amount of sweet. However, they were out of caramel sauce so I don't think I got to fully experience the bread pudding. Boo to them for being out of caramel sauce because I love caramel.
In order for me to either raise or lower my review, I'd need to make a second visit and perhaps actually order a main dish. -

They catered our wedding.
Joanne was a pleasure to deal with. She was very patient when dealing with various changes to counts, foods, and so on.
The only concerns we had was that the appetizers were not as strong the day of the wedding as they were when we tasted. We had issues with temperatures too. Hot things were either warm or cold.
The main course, for the seated dinner, was amazing. I saw many "Happy Plates".
They were well priced for what we got and the coordination between them and sub-contractors (working with florists too) was flawless.
I'd use them again for an event up in Wine Country. -

One of those nights wherein we couldn't decide where and what to eat. We walked into this place with a bottled wine and after checking the menu we decided to dine in.
Crispy calamaries for appetizer and some type of fried spring roll. Portion wasn't that impressive that's why I'm tempted to give this a 3-start but I enjoyed the crispy skin chicken with mash potatoes and spinach. Chicken was fried crispy on the outside yet moist and juice inside. The spinach tasted so well with the mash potatoes. I couldn't be more happy with choice.
We endulged ourselves with different desserts. Sweet way to end a perfect meal. -

We found All Seasons on Yelp, glad we did. There are a couple of larger places on the main drag in Calistoga, but they all seemed too large or didn't sound quite as interesting. We had a great green salad to start with blue cheese and walnuts, then crispy chicken and halibut for our entres. The crispy chicken was good, and I really enjoyed my fish. The fish was served with pesto mashed potatoes, which was definitely a nice twist on the usual mashers. For dessert we had banana coconut cream pie, which was pretty much fantastic.
We both had "tastes" of wine with our meal - 3oz pours available from any of the wines on their by the glass. I liked getting a smaller glass, just in case I wanted to try a few different kinds.
Great service and good prices. We'll definitely bring friends here the next time we're passing through. -

This place is so incredible. For our 1st anniversary, my husband and I came here because the menu looked awesome.
We were NOT disappointed. The meal was wonderful - we started with homemade gnocchi in cream sauce and a delicious beet salad. For dinner, I had the seared halibut with basil mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. My husband had lamb shanks with polenta and veggies medley.
I can't have dinner without dessert so of course we ordered two. We had the creme brule and the ginger cake - both were incredible.
LOVED this place, will definitely be back the next time I am in Calistoga. -
Review from Angela C.

My review is for:
- Crab cakes
- Seared Salmon
- Warm Dark Chocolate Torte
I've never ordered crab cakes, so have nothing to compare them to, so I'll move right along to the Salmon... My seared salmon was nearly entirely cooked, and the crust was thick and to a crisp. I asked for medium, not until it was entirely cooked - I guess next time I'll know to ask for medium rare, instead. The meat tasted a bit dry, even though it sat on a dijon sauce. The sauce made the entree, and it really shouldn't have been that way.
Now, when it comes to desserts, I'm a fanatic, I'd almost say I'm a dessert snob. The torte had the appearance of being a cupcake, save for the tough exterior. The inside was moist, but honestly, nothing to drowl over. I could have done without the almond ice cream, and the torched sugar, something like a laced doily in the shape of a cone, didn't add much to the plate either.... I didn't know what I was suppose to do with it. Was I suppose to eat it? Was it a garnish?
All in all, it was a decent experience, I definitely don't think I would find myself craving the food here, or wanting to make a trip to Calistoga just to eat here, but it's not bad.
For those looking for sweet potato fries here, unless it's on their special menu or something, they do not have it here. I asked if they offered any other appetizers......... and they said all they offered were on the menu.
