Been going to this church for the last 4 years and never had the opportunity to attend Holy Thursday until last night. Wow! What an amazing experience. There were two choirs, bilingual service, full band, 2 priests+Jr Priest I think is what you call him, young kids participating in the acting, breaking of the bread, lots of singing in tagalog and english and straight up "washing of the feet" ceremony which I had to kinda skip over..All the bare feet surrounding me were kinda freaking me out. So what, that it was almost 3 hours. Bottom line, this is such a friendly, diverse, spiritual, beautiful, friendly catholic church in Hayward. If you get a chance, Easter Vigil is a good service to go to as well. On a side note, they offer weekly mass every Saturday night at 5pm, and doesn't get pretty packed so love going to that. Come to All Saints!
Peace out:) -

Rinnie, the priest of whom you spoke is Father George. I believe he may be of Cape Verdean extraction but am not sure. He was kind enough to bless a St. Benedict crucifix for me last week and I too was taken with his gracious manner and I'm sure that other persons beside us have good things to say about this gracious, courtly servant of Our Lord.
I'm impressed by the old world styled architecture of the building. Will have to visit a few times to see what the services are like! -

This parish is amazing. It's not just the beautiful interior, good acoustics, friendly priests and good music. The whole parish is welcoming, diverse, and has an amazing community spirit. There's always something fun going on.
I moved recently, but am thinking of making the drive every week from the South Bay just for Sunday masses. -

Are we allowed to rate churches here?--- Or will I go straight to hell??
ANyway, I only have good things to say about All Saints... It's tucked in the bottom of a hill. And it's a cathedral type of church with the high ceilings and the painted ceilings. It's very cozy for being a huge church, esp around Easter or Xmas when the whole place is full of flowers. I love that it could rival the cathedral type churches in the city, but it wins hands down with its own parking lot.
Their choir is amazing, esp the one at the 7 pm Sunday night mass. They even have a live band, with drums and other instruments I couldn't see (I'm short and usually sit away from them) but could definitely hear.
I love the black priest...he's got the most gentle mannerisms and soothing voice. I like that he greets the people outside after mass even though it was a different priest who lead it. -

It's been over a good decade since I visited All Saints Catholic Church. On 01/24/08, I ventured here to be Omar's sponsor for his Adult Confirmation. Since this was the night of the dress rehearsal, I took a moment to reminisce this amazing church. During my college days at Cal State Hayward, this was home away home to attend mass and chill out with God. It still has the same "old building scent" and the complex halo of painted angels around the interior dome of the alter area.
One of my favorite memories here was in 1993 when Wennie and I dragged all our "non-practicing Catholic" friends to Ash Wednesday. It was hilarious because we went around the student apartments around 6:00PM; knocking on their doors, making them feel guilty about Ash Wednesday, carpooling in Wennie's small BMW, and forcing them to give up something for Lent. We arrived late at the church around 7:15PM and ended standing during a "Spanish Mass".
I'm sure I'll be visiting All Saints again. Maybe next year for Omar and Kate's son / daughter's baptism. HA! Yes, i'm wishing you guys the best for 2009! -

This is a very beautiful church, the interior and exterior. The parking lot is big and spacious. I love the fact that the church goers are from different nationalities, not just one of the same...
Went to the Virgen de Guadalupe mass on the 12/12. It was a bilingual mass in Spanish and in English. Thank goodness because my Spanish is rusty. There were Indian dancers, a reenactment, and a whole bunch of singing from the choir. The only thing missing: the Mariachi Band. And that is just because when I think of this Holiday, it also means "Mariachi" to me. Everything else was just beautiful. My Mami would have loved it.
Also, attended a baptism this weekend. It was lovely!Listed in: Nice Cathloic Girl

All Saints is a amazing Church. It's first Church I felt that all my spiritual needs where met. The priests, the music, and the warmth of all the people in the Church. I'm very blessed and honored to be married at All Saints Church. My fiance proposed to me in front of All Saints. I'm excited for all my quests to see the wonderful church I belong to. I can't wait for one day for my children to receive there sacraments here.

Fantastic Church and people. I am looking forward to celebrating 100 years of the building and 110 years of the building & 110 years of the parish. The annual celebration known as "Fiesta" is going to be held on Sept 11-13, 2009 and I plan on being there. Then on Nov 1, there will be another great celebration. I think that it is a street party.

I have been a member of All Saints Church for 12 years and it is so wonderful to have so many cultures represented in our church. We have great music from all over the world during mass and the pot lucks with all the dishes from around the world are so tasty! We have numerous ministries that serve our community. Our pastor is Steve Mullins, and he is a lay pastor. He is amazing!! He is well spoken, is encouraging, and brings the wisdom and practicality of a family man to our parish. Our priests are not the "fire and brimestone" kind that I grew up on! Instead they are realistic, friendly, and everything a good kind priest should be. Our church motto is, "We say yes to God!" If you are looking for a modern church with loving, kind, and friendly people that meet in an old world style of church, All Saints is for you!
