This building has seen its fair share of raucous parties and general hipsterness. You can see the rooftop from the Blue Line right by the Damen stop and there is always something "cool" in their eyes going on up here. The space is loft style and pretty nice looking for a raw space, but I swear I thought I was drunk when I was walking around because the floors had all of these dents in them from what looked like years of drunken heads falling and weird art sculptures being dropped.
I went to a Puma event most recently and have been to this space before for other events. I don't think I have ever been to an actual art show here, just special events. The owner needs a swift kick to the face sometimes as she is known to be a bit gruesome at the door when the space gets crowded.
The crowds that come in are mostly people that want to be seen it seems like. Dressed well and generally trendy looking, lots of tight jeans and I'm not talking about the women... -

this is a review of their grand ave location. yes, it's true it was full of hipsters when i went but this space has potential to be great. the party i went to on thursday was fun; but i think because most of the people were there for the booze and to be seen much rather come during the day if possible so i can look at the art in peace but that's just me.
