First, I must say with all sincerity that Jim and his crew are absolutely phenomenal!
I had recently upgraded my wheels to an Infiniti G35 that had the whole factory Navigation & Bose system included. I had an Alpine IVA-D900, JL speakers including a 12" W6v2 sub + amps in my previous car that I wanted moved into my G35. I had been told by many that it would be near impossible to install the old system without losing factory options/controls or without messing up the aesthetics of my new car. Jim discussed at great length a variety of options with my boyfriend and I, and we were both instantly impressed (we're not easily impressed people) with his patience and extensive knowledge. Jim promised us what sounded like insanity to me, and I was a bit apprehensive at the extensive amount of work required to give me exactly what I wanted. I especially wanted to keep my factory Nav system, and not have my trunk altered in any way that couldn't be easily reverted - including keeping my spare tire (they actually got my 12" to fit in there and look sharp!) which is unthinkable considering the size of the trunk to begin with! I also wanted the ability to connect my 3G iPhone, and extra video inputs to optionally hook up a game console or our video camera, etc. Not only did Jim promise the impossible (to give me exactly what I want), but with the impressive work done by Jason & Eric, they delivered exceptionally. When all was said and done everything easily exceeded my expectations. I was able to keep all my old hardware, but had to upgrade my amps mostly because of space limitations. So what was essentially the same system ended up sounding 100x better than it ever had in my previous car - I had no idea it could be so amazing! Don't assume for a second that high praise = highly affordable, but the entire experience was worth every penny. They completed the job at the quoted price even with some extras thrown in that I hadn't even expected. The entire project from start to finish took just a little longer than I would've liked, but most likely because I might be the most nitpicky anal chick out there. These guys are all about quality & it shows. Jim was entirely responsive and listened to my every concern and they did whatever necessary for me to be 100% pleased with their work.....and I really am :-D

I always wished Xzibit would show up at my front door step to Pimp My Ride!  But, all I got were damn exterminators, girl scouts, and pizza delivery guys.  On the other hand, I DO like pizza......

Anyway, I came to Jim looking to do some work done inside my truck.  What was supposed to be a quick, 5 or 6-day turn around, ended up to be a month-long job.  Damn, he installs crap slow, huh?!?!  Jerk!

Not really.

Two things contributed to this long process, I'm anal (not like that, perv!) and so is Jim.  I can be a little bit of a perfectionist and Jim is the same way.  If something isn't done right...... well, it should be!  Some of the issues were APA's fault.  Some were just Jamie being obnoxious (Hey, cut me some slack!  I bought electronics, not a $.75 candy bar!)!  The bottom line is that Jim wanted to make sure it was done the right way and to MY liking.  Not his.  Not his crew's.  Not his uncle's.  Not his gardener's.  But, mine!  MINE!

Now that I got the selfish side of me covered......... Jim is very open about giving you suggestions, though.  Just ask.  He won't bite your head off (btw, you should ask to hear his impressions.  Ask to hear his Middle-Eastern and Korean accents and see if you can tell the difference).  He is not going to sell you crap you don't need.  If you are working within a budget, just let him know and he'll work with you.  He has a lot of experience and won't give you the runaround.  He also places a very high priority to good customer service.  At least, that's what he told me.  =)

Anyway, let's stop talking about Jim.  His ego's big enough.

As far as his crew is concerned, they are just as awesome.  Eric, unfortunately, has OCD, too.  He has to make everything look and sound P-E-R-F-E-C-T!  Al did a great job on the alarm and Brian hooked me up in almost everything else.  Although, one "person" in his crew didn't treat me well.  This individual licked me and smelled my private parts (Thank goodness it wasn't the other way around).  Thanks a lot, Jack!

Well, after reading that garbage of a review, I'll just give you the gist.  All Pro Audio met my expectations.  At the time of my initial visit to APA, it had 5-stars.  During the last few months, it has fluctuated between 4 1/2 and 5 stars (Yelp filters sometimes filter out good reviews because they think it's spam).  Regardless, I have had a 5-star experience.  It wasn't perfect, but if you've ever been to a stereo shop before, you know most of them will sell you the product with the highest price and/or highest profit margin.  I NEVER got that impression with APA.

Pros
*  Very competitive pricing (Do your homework, though.  A little research will help you get the best possible price).
*  Will give you a rental car with work that lasts more than a day.
*  Excellent customer service!
*  Not pushy.
*  Waiting room is clean with 2 TVs.
*  Clean work.

Cons
*  Jim is uber busy and can't answer calls right away.  You can try e-mail if you have any questions (allproaudioinc@yahoo.com).
*  No functional showroom units.  If you want to see a radio in action, go somewhere else first.
*  Work sometimes goes over estimated time.
*  Jim's a Raider fan.  GO CHARGERS!!

These guys are fantastic.

Jim & Eric really know their stuff. They are very helpful and honest. I've recommended their shop to friends and family alike.

These guys really bend over backwards to help.  Their service is fantastic and they're always very honest about everything. I went back for some additional work and hence have revised my original review.

I can't sing enough praises for Jim and his crew over at All Pro Audio.  Since I'm on the road a lot with work Kirsten (my wife) gave me a wonderful Christmas gift of a audio system that would link my Sirius Radio, iPhone, and iPod so I could have a good amount of entertainment at my fingertips.  What I liked about the way Jim does business is that he pointed me to a Nav System not because it was more expensive but because he listened to what my needs were and explained why he felt that I would prefer the integration of a Pioneer Nav. He was absolutely right! After using my system for months I realized how perfect and seemless it was to move between my different media and my phone (I make tons of calls from the road)

But my story doesn't end there.  My car was broken into and they cut my ipod and stole it.  I took it to Jim to see how I could get it fixed and unfortunately they destroyed the one part that is not modular on the unit.  Just my luck.  Jim made a huge effort to hook me up with another company that could repair that part for me and took care of me with a direct connect cable so that I could still play my new ipod.

The level of service and Jim's overall concern for his customer's care is impossible to beat.  I urge anyone looking to get some car audio work done to go visit Jim and his crew.  We will always use them for our car audio needs.

ask for jim, great service and advice.  Purchased http://Installer.net versus Geek Squad and a dvd for truck over the net.

Leaving last minute for vacation, works great and Jim's team absolutely knew what they are doing.  Surpassed expectations by installing a better platform on the truck ceiling so the dvd player mounted better than the old (being replaced).

I looked around and was referred to Jim by Installer.Net.  Recommend them highly for expertise, fair price and honesty.

Well, after several months of using the alarm system...I must say it works flawlessly. All  interior panels were re-installed just like factory and connections and wires are all well hidden. Eric did a great job!

Just got my new deck installed after someone stole my car two weeks ago. All I have to say is Jim and Co. were amazing. I was on a strict budget and Jim was very patient with me; taking my calls, answering any questions, looking up alternatives, and working within my price range.

So I showed up around 10:15 and was done by 11. I didn't get the name of the guy who actually installed the deck but he followed me out to the car and explained how to use all its features. He also noticed I had an alarm system that could be fixed, so he gave me tips on that too.

Outstanding customer service, excellent quality! I can't express how happy I am to finally have music back in my car, goddamn!

I own a cd/navigation touch screen system and for the past month I have been going to different car audio shops to see if they can repair the system. Everyone blows me off or try to sell me something, I was not having any luck with Pioneer direct either.

So then I went on to yelp and found this place, I made one phone call and  a gentleman by the name of Eric answered the phone and I told him about the problem, he asked me if can hold or he can call me back, I chose to hold and within minutes he went and found me the phone number and local service center and took care of everything.

I am not a customer of theirs I wasn't contributing in any way to their profit but they took the time and helped me out. I'm very thankful for their great service and now I will be their customer for as long as they are around. Thank you Eric for the great service.

3.5-4 stars.

I had a sub/amp from my old car that i needed installed.  Thanks to fellow Yelpers, I was referred here for my audio work.  Their shop is fairly new, but they don't have any demo units or speakers on display; something they should look into.

I drove there after work to have them check it out, and Jim greeted me, and told me it would be under $300 for the work, but that he'd help me out with the price.

I drop it off 2 days later during my lunch break, and was charged $270. Boo.  his original quote was $298.80...(sick...20 cents below $300)  Should have negotiated more, but I was starving.  Jim said it'd be ready at around 6ish, but that they were backed up a bit.

Showed up at 5:30, and ended up waiting till 8 for them to finish my car.  Sweet, I got to wait an additional 2+ hours in their lobby.  At least they got cable TV.

But they DID stay that extra hour after closing to finish up my car, which is not something many other places do for you.  I understand that when you're working with cars, its hard, and there are almost always complications that delay it, so I won't get them for that.

The whole staff was really friendly, and kept me updated on my car while I waited.  They also did a really clean job with my wiring.  They didn't wire it so that the amp stays powered off when my car isn't on though =[

Pretty good shop, friendly service.

Thank you to all the Yelpers who gave this shop great reviews, so I felt confident going here.   And they definitely lived up to the reputation.  As others said, Jim is very nice, knowledgeable and skilled.  He knew right away what stereo equipment would be best for my car (a rather old one -- '96 Explorer) and my needs and budget.  He also offered me some pretty good discounts (and it may have helped that I mentioned seeing his reviews on Yelp, by the way).  They put in an Alpine CDE-102 and four DB 5 X 7 coax speakers.  The Alpine comes with a short cable to which you can attach your iPod.

The installation took just a couple hours and I was quite comfortable in their waiting area which has two big flat-screen TV's to watch and you can also have fun playing with his black lab puppy while you wait.

When it was done, one of the techs showed me how to use all of the features of the stereo.  I also appreciated that Jim told me upfront to keep my old equipment because if and when I ever sell the car, I can take it back to his shop and they will take the new system out and put the old stuff back in AT NO EXTRA CHARGE, which is great.  He also said if I'm not happy with the system, within 30 days they'll put in something different, again at no charge, or they could also put in an extra little amp to boost the Alpine if I want it.

But I won't be needing that ... it sounds GREAT, it's very easy to use,  and I'm very very happy.  Thanks Jim and thanks again, Yelpers for steering me to this shop.

These guys rock! I chose this place because of the high reviews and I have to say I am very satisfied with their level of service and excellence. I got an amp, two door speakers, and dynamax put on my truck. After I picked it up on the first day, there was a high ptiched whining noise. When Jim heard about it he was like "that's unacceptable". He told me to bring it back to the next day to get it fixed.
I work in Mountain view and both days they gave me a ride back to work. Today, I was slammed at work and was'nt able to go back out there and they drove my truck to my office for me!! Now that's service man!!! Just got the truck, the noise is gone and everything works just fine!

These guys rock!

I found All Pro on Yelp and read the great reviews.  I called and spoke with someone, and they took the time to speak with me and understand what I needed in a non-rushed manner.  I went down there today and...Let me tell you.  The other reviews are all true.  The service was personal, and Jeff and the guys know what they are doing.  If you want a stereo or an existing system repaired.  These are the guys.

I have never actually written a yelp review until now.  I felt compelled to sign up and tell everyone how amazing Jim and all the guys at All Pro Audio are. Jim's picture should be the first result when you Google "amazing customer service".  You may be a complete stranger, but he treats you like you are family.  The quality of products and install service is top notch and you can completely trust them to not upsell you on things you dont need/want.  If you are thinking of going to a big box store like Best Buy because you think it would be cheaper, dont kid yourself.  Not only will it be more expensive, but they have no idea how to install a stereo yet pull off a custom job.  GO TO ALL PRO!! I can't say it enough.  Jim will hook you up and make sure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase and service.

Overall I'm satisfied. They did a very neat and good job with the installation of my satellite radio. Very professional and courteous. Few problems-

1) I made an appointment to come first thing in the morning when they opened but they made me wait in line to check in. While I was waiting in line, they took 5 people ahead of me who didn't have appointments.

2) While I was waiting in line, a bunch of people got in line behind me and they started taking people from the back of the line so a bunch of people, who didn't have appointments, and were behind me in line, got to have the installation before me.

3) It took way longer than they said it would, probably because they got to my car after they helped all the people who didn't have appointments.

Really, if I go through the time to make an appointment they should give me priority and certainly not make me wait on line. Aside from those problems, they did do a fine job and I'm satisfied with the work.

My experience here was as good as it gets.  Jim, the owner, was really nice and very knowledgeable.  He took a lot of time to figure out exactly what I needed to fix up the wiring and replace the deck in my husbands car for his birthday.  It took longer to complete the work than we expected because of the terrible work done by the previous owner of the car, but he didn't charge me any more than the original quote.  The original quote was extremely reasonable by the way.  My husband was blown away by the custom work done to rack the amps and other equipment in the back of his truck.  They did really clean work and it sounds better than it has in a long time too.  Also the Pioneer DVD player is really freakin awesome!
If you are an audio expert or a complete newbie (like me) you will love this place.  Thanks guys!!

$250 after showing the Yelp ad to have all the windows tinted, except the front one of course. Richard did a great job! My boyfriend loved his surprise tint present. :)

Everyone apparently goes here for their xar needs, so make sure to make an appointment. Jim was helpful with other issues the car had (rock scratches, etc.) and had lots of suggestions. The waiting room is SUPER cold, but there is free wi-fi and two LCD televisions. If you are going to wait, make sure to get some food beforehand...the snack dispenser kind of sucks, just run-of-the-mill chips and candies. I would definitely be back if I had extra moola to splurge on the vehicles..

5 stars for amazing customer service service!

I came in here to get a basic stereo system and alarm installed due to the recent burgulary of my car. *DANG YOU HOODLUMS*** okay I digress.. I came in on a saturday and was able to get all the items installed on the same day. Jim went through all my options and made recommendations based on my basic needs for an alarm (that it was loud) and a stereo (that I could play my CDs and ipod). He did not try to upsell to the next level or be fanciful in his language. The best part was that I mentioned YELP and got a discount on installation.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place for novices like myself. They take the time to talk through all your option in PLAIN and SIMPLE terms and their prices are reasonable.

This place got like perfect reviews so I just dropped in on a weekday to  have my dice ipod hookup.  Eric did a very professional job with the install in about an hour.  I don't know what the going rate is for labor but they charged me $100.  Jim is a super busy guy -- handling all walk ins and answering endless phone calls.  I think he could use some help up front to shorten customer wait time.  I know I would lose it if I had 3 people on the phone on hold and 3 customers waiting in line, but he handled it well.  He has excellent customer service skills like everyone else is saying so yeah I would do business with them again.

Update:  My ipod wasn't being detected by my dice module about a month later so I took it in for Jim to check out.  He said the dice module was defective and the cable went bad so he replaced everything for free under warranty.  All I had to pay for was the shipping costs to ship my defective dice module back which Jim did for me.  Talk about excellent service!

Another 5 stars for great service!

I went back to get my windows tinted. Jim gave me a great deal for being a repeat customer. His tint guy, Richard Diaz, did a great job! Highly recommended.

I also wanted access to my iPod video USB cable (it was installed hidden) and Jim fixed that free of charge. Jim and his team know how to keep his existing customers happy to keep them coming back. I trust them with my car audio/accessories needs.

Make that 10 Stars! =)

I came here to get an iPod adapter installed in my 2004 Mazda 3.

What I liked:
* Excellent service--these guys are very friendly and willing to help you
* They were upfront with me about what functionality my car's stereo system did and did not support when used in conjunction with the iPod adapter they could order for me
* They adjusted the setup of my iPod adapter without hesitation after I had been using it for a week and decided I wanted them to move the placement of where it was installed

What I didn't like:
* No significant complaints

I was in a quest to find a car audio shop that would do a great job at a cheap price. That is exactly what All Pro Audio delivered. Not only did Jim match the very tight budget I had in mind (unlike 3 other shops in the same neighborhood) , but his team did a stellar job to install a new Pioneer navigation system in my Mercedes SLK. And they went to unusual length to keep me happy.

For starters, once we agreed on the price, Jim told me that if there were to be additional costs, it would be on him, because as a professional, he should have known before committing. So when he found out that the dash kit that he purchased for my SLK, that was labeled as compatible with SLKs and CLKs, was indeed NOT compatible with SLK (manufacturer seems to have mislabeled this item), and that there was no compatible dash kit out there, he offered me to *make* one for me. Standard price: about $900. For me: $0. Then, as this handmade kit needed to dry for two days, he offered me a car rental for these two days!

And the result is simply amazing. Jason, who made the dash kit, made it fit so well that the rest of the dash seems almost a bit loose ;-)

I cannot recommend enough All Pro Audio, and hope other Yelp members will also enjoy doing business with them.

This place is awesome.

I've been wanting to get my 2006 Honda Accord wired for iPod input for the longest time, especially since stupid Honda has not been able to produce a factory iPod kit for over a year.

Well, at least Honda was able to recommend this place to me (across the street from Honda of Stevens Creek). After talking to Jim for 1 minute I was totally convinced that he knows his stuff and that he was giving me a good deal on the iPod kit for my car.

It only took 30 minutes for them to install the kit in my car, and I am a very satisfied customer.

Look nowhere else if you're looking to get iPod input in your car stereo...only caveat is to call in a couple of days before you want the install, and they can get it done for you.

I first met Jim at the gym.  I saw he had a Clifford shirt on and I questioned him about it.  He told me to come in and he would get my car protected.

They hooked me up with the full blown alarm and dvd player along with amps for my speakers and wiring for the Big 3.  The showroom is always stocked with candy which I always chow down on when I pop in.

I took my car here not for stereo or anything like that. I just wanted to get the ipod adapter put in. I was tired of using the transmitter through the cigarette lighter, because the sound is really static and distorted. Anyhow, dropped off my car and Jim took care of me. I didn't have a ride to get back to work; Al was sweet enough to give me ride back to work. All Pro Audio is all about service and servicing people. They installed the adapter but I still need an antenna, which they didn't have at their store. It should arrive this week and I can't wait to listen to my ipod. Even though I have to wait a couple more days, I know it's worth it in the end. BMW is not an easy car to work on, so it's not a big deal.

I decided to try All Pro Audio based on the great Yelp reviews.

I was initially planning to order a GPS nav, Bluetooth connected, stereo unit with backup camera online from Crutchfield or Sonic Electronix then have someone install it. I called All Pro Audio to get a quote for installation. The were very busy and asked if they could have Jim call me back. He did so pretty quickly. He said that installing would be no problem, but asked why I was selecting the particular Kenwood unit. It had a moving screen and, in his experience, these break more often than the non-movable. I was only going to get the unit because it was on sale and was reviewed well. Jim went on to give me a variety of details and information. It was clear that he is extremely knowledgeable in this field and I believed he was shooting straight with me based on my research. He said I could go ahead with the online purchase and they would be happy to install it, but he could get me exactly what I wanted at a cheaper price. I setup the appointment and took the car in on Tuesday.

The staff was extremely friendly at All Pro Audio, but Jim is the key differentiator. As the owner, he is clearly committed to providing the best possible customer experience. He personally takes the time to meet his customers and listen to their needs. His staff setup my cell phone with the Bluetooth and walked me through how to use everything. You are in good hands with Jim and his team.

So, why only 4 stars and not 5? This is due to mis-set expectations. Originally when I scheduled the appointment for Tuesday, I was told to drop the car off at 10 and it would take 4 hours for the installation. When I went in on Tuesday, I was told the car would be ready between 5 and 6. Not 4 hours, but not a big deal. When I called at 5, I was told it would be ready closer to 6. We loaded up the kids and headed over to get the car around 6. Unfortunately, the car was not ready. Jim apologized profusely about it taking so long and explained that a situation had arisen, not due to the electronic components, but as a result of the installation. While doing the installation, they had noticed that the factory paint used on the dashboard molding was beginning to flake. At no additional cost to me, they decided to buff out any scratches and repaint it. This is something they apparently do for the Honda dealership across the street. They wanted my experience to be the best and have it look great. He acknowledged he should have called me sooner to let me know what was going on, but the paint was not drying quickly. He asked if he could get 45 more minutes. We went to dinner and my wife dropped me off before 7. I waited for about 15 minutes only to have Jim apologize that the paint still was not done drying. He had one of his techs give me a lift home and said it would be ready in the morning. I shifted my schedule around to be able to work from home so I could pick up the car and then called around 10:30 to inquire if it was ready. The tech who answered the phone said it would be another hour and, at this point, I was getting frustrated. I asked that Jim call me back, but then decided to head over and wait. When I got there, Jim was very apologetic, but one of the key pieces didn't dry correctly and they had to repaint it. Jim offered to rent me a car at his expense and was very embarrassed that this situation was playing out as it was. I couldn't afford to waste anymore time dealing with getting a rental, but I was able to take the car and return later when the part had dried.

I appreciate Jim's desire to provide the best possible customer experience and go the extra mile with nice extra touches, but would have appreciated better communication on the situation. I would not have wasted my time and my expectations would have been reset appropriately. Instead, I was irritated at getting the run around. I am cutting them slack because this is a relatively new business and, frankly, stuff happens. While my time was wasted, Jim bent over backward to make it right. I appreciate that.

All Pro Audio has top of the line gear, a knowledgeable and friendly staff, but, most importantly, an owner committed to great customer satisfaction. He needs to improve on setting expectations appropriately and communicating better if something goes awry, but I appreciate his effort. Jim has earned a loyal customer and I will be back in the future.

I recommend you give him a try.

An experience that I was absolutely dreading, actually turned out to be phenomenal example of what customer service should be.

As mentioned below, my previous experience with this location (which used to be AMS Stereo) had put me off car stereo installers forever. I was having issues with the DICE installed in my car and had been in no less than three (3) times prior to have it fixed at AMS. I was at the end of my rope.

After many calls to DICE about my iPod integration unit, they suggested that I go into All Pro and speak to Jim Lee. Jim was immediately very polite, helpful and understanding as to my prior and ongoing issues with the previous install and treatment. Right while I was there, his tech (Jason, I believe) pulled out the head unit and noticed that not only was it not grounded correctly by the last AMS install, the plug in the back was completely loose and causing the issues I was having.

To make a long story (somewhat) short, Jim ordered me a brand new unit from DICE, and when it arrived, his tech performed a very careful and conscientious reinstall of the unit; even talking me though it while he worked.

Again, to echo the other comments, my installation was completed in a professional and timely manner, and they were able to turn around a very poor experience and perception of this industry into one worthy of Yelping about.

Keep up the great work Jim and team...highly recommended!

This used to be AMS Car Stereo.  The place looks about the same maybe a little bit cleaner.  The owner is very friendly and talkative, knows his products very well and is a very good sales man.

For me: they installed a stereo which works great except they didn't hook up the battery back up and so every time my car is shut off the stereo resets itself.  This is very annoying!!!  Being that Hubby is very good at fixing this sort of thing he rewired the stereo and also re crimped some of the cables since they were coming apart.  Now the stereo works great!!!  Hooray for Hubby!!!

For our friend: they installed an alarm with back up battery so even if the main battery gets disconnected the alarm will sound... as loud as a fire engine siren.  Supposedly they did a good job until just a week after the alarm was put in... which by the way the owner said is full proof protection and he guarantees that the car cannot be stolen... was stolen from in front of our friends' house.  Funny how the loud fire engine siren and the back up battery alarm did not work!!!

Overall the staff is friendly but the work is not the greatest.

These guys are great!  Jim, the owner is super nice.  The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful!  I went in to get an iPod kit installed in my Honda...they did a fabulous job in half the time they said it would take. I had to go back b/c I had a few questions, and I was immediately helped and sent on my way.  I highly recommend these guys!

All Pro Audio.

No.

This shop needs to be renamed to "Cater to your every whim Audio"

Wait. I need more stars.

No, seriously my fellow Yelpers, ever been skeptical as to whether or not these reviews are real?  I would be lying if I said I wasn't until I let Jim (Owner), Eric (Master Installer), Gerald, (New Installer, but also good) and John (Older much wiser gentlemen) install my equipment.  For starters, I will list just a few of the things that really caught my attention from top to bottom.

1. First time I called the shop; off top, Jim talked to me as if I was going to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ of dollars.  Extremely polite, involved, attentive, and eager to address each and every question I had regarding my installation.  Who does that?  Majority of other shops I called gave me around 5 minutes, if that, and didn't seem too interested in reeling me into their shop.  Jim and I chat for around 15-20 minutes if not longer.  He addressed an issue about a battery isolator, which I was going to provide, that he suspected might not work.  So he offered to let me swap it with another Stinger product he carries.  If that's not convincing you enough already, read on, but Jim had me at Hello.  LOL.  It was at that point we hung up so he could tend (I mean cater) to his other customers, but not before formally introducing himself and asking my name etc.  Again, off top, high end customer service that can not be f&*#@( with.

2.  I called back that same evening to discuss things further with Jim.  Re currently, this man gave me his time like I was paying for it.  After being profoundly convinced that his shop would render the best service, I thanked him and hung up.

3. The next day I called and got directions.  When I first walked into his shop, there was already one customer speaking to Jim, but like I had anticipated, Jim acknowledged my presence and said he would be right with me.

4. Once I made it up to the front counter, I noticed a box of donuts??? Wtf??  Free donuts??  Not ONLY for his customers because mind you, not everyone that walks into his shop is going to necessarily have work done.

5. No surprise here.  He spent about half an hour talking about my install, going over every single minuscule detail possible.  Um yes, this is probably the first single most common mistake other shops will make, NOT tell their customers exactly how things will be installed and just surprise them at the end with flaws here and there.

6. He initially gave me quote of $ minimum to $ maximum.  After already getting a quote elsewhere for twice that much, I knew I was in the zone.  Well quite literally not the zone cause this quote was half, I guess the word is more like in a dreamland.  So for this price, I was getting the following:

A. Big 3 wire upgrade (for increased voltage)

B. Battery isolator installation

C. Savv rearview mirror installation (with FREE Rca cable to hook up a PS2 or DVD player)  =)

D. Amplifier installation

E. Custom built wooden battery tray with installation

& Last but not least

F. Custom built to (manufacturer's specifications) 12" subwoofer enclosure with extra baffling (due to weight of woofer)

7. Like any other customer trying to find the best deal, I wanted to shop around so I thanked Jim and told him how much I appreciated his time prior to walking out.

O.k so now that I have addressed all of the PRE installation positive attributes, on to the actual install.  Oh wait, one last thing (most important thing) before I move forward.  So, Jim had jotted me down for the following Saturday at 10 a.m.  On Friday evening around say 9:00 p.m, I get a phone call from Jim telling me he has to cancel my appointment.  (Note: the time of the phone call tells me this man is working late and its Friday at that).  When I asked Jim why my appointment had to be re scheduled, he said he had to terminate on of his employees.  Furthermore, the reason why was, and I quote Jim verbatim "Well, he kept complaining about having to stay late working on customers cars; and to me, getting my customers car done on time is more important."  After that, he asked me to measure the clearance in my trunk so that his guys could begin building the box. I told him I would much rather bring my car in and let them do it so that nothing gets F'd up.  He says, "Are you sure"?  Yes, I said.  So then as if I wasn't already a happy future customer, Jim says "Tell you what Ricky, I'll knock $50 bucks off your install price, just for your gas".  If anyone were to look up the words "customer service" in a dictionary; by law, there should be a picture of Jim next to it.  Good lord, can this man get any better.  Well yes, he is about to as you will see.

Since I'm out of characters, you may e mail me for further details about these 2 highlights I experienced while at All Pro Audio.

I talked to a few places near where I live before I went with the Yelp pick and drove the distance. Glad I did!
Jim runs a great shop. He's happy to deal with all kinds of folks interested in upgrading their sound - you may want a state of the art custom install or you may just want him to install that stereo you bought off the internet for a good price. He'll take care of you either way.

I got two installs done by Jim's crew. One was a Pioneer AVIC-F7010BT in a minivan with rear view camera. Got a great price and a same day install. It was a little more expensive than buying off the internet and bringing it in but it was a better experience. All Pro had everything in stock and the best part about buying from them is that they honor the factory warranty in-store. If something were to ever fail under warranty, they are able to swap the defective unit in-store without having to wait for the manufacturer to replace it.

My second install was a Pioneer AVIC-F500BT that I bought off the internet. Jim gave me a very reasonable estimate for the install charges and stood by it even when it ended up taking twice as long as the estimate.

I was able to observe all the time while they worked on my car and that made me really appreciate the thorough job they do. Even when they were taking more time than the initial estimate, they did not rush anything.

Would go back again and again and wholly recommend their services to everyone!

I would like to just say that this place is awesome. I called yesterday afternoon after getting a stereo for my new car from Fry's Electronics, but neither Fry's or Best Buy had the installation kit for my car. So I called here before ordering it online and not only did they have the entire kit, but they also saved me some money and installed it this morning in under 30 minutes!!! The people here are very nice and I was honestly pretty impressed by how fast it was. Definitely go here if you are looking for a good car stereo for a good price.

Jim helped me out with installing an iPod kit for my car.  Job well done.  He was very helpful and price was very reasonable.  The staff was very friendly.  I am glad I came here instead of the other shops on Stevens Creek.  I will be back for some tint work.

Instead of spending a load of money on flowers, chocolates and dinner for Valentine's day my husband decided to surprise me with an iPod hookup for our SUV (romantic, I know). My husband was prepared to spend $400+ for a basic iPod hookup installation through the dealer, but was fortunately delayed by their busy service schedule. I say fortunately because if we had gone through the dealer we would have never met Jim and his staff at All Pro Audio.

I have been using Yelp for over 3 years now and have never been inspired to actually write a review until our experience with All Pro Audio. My husband had called dealers all around the Bay Area as well as several San Jose car audio places. Most places were unable to answer his questions or were just not helpful. The dealer in Fremont actually told him that it wasn't possible to integrate an iPod on our vehicle! Jim was the only guy who really seemed to know his stuff. After talking to Jim for a while, my husband had pretty much decided on an iPod integration kit, but then asked Jim if they also did Bluetooth integrations. Jim told him how much that would cost, but then offered an option that would do both iPod and Bluetooth, AND would actually save us a bit of money vs. doing the integrations separately. Imagine that...a business that actually tries to save you money instead of getting you to spend as much as possible.

Jim invited us to swing by the shop to see the options in person. We decided to splurge on the dual Bluetooth/iPod in-car system, but knew we were getting a great deal because some dealers were quoting us $400-700+ for an iPod hookup alone, but the all-in-one kit from Jim was $349 + labor.

We left our car with Jim at All Pro Audio on Valentine's day for a Parrot bluetooth advanced hands-free music kit install and got our car back the same day. It took a little longer than expected, but the installer, Eric, explained that they had some trouble with a popping noise that was audible when ending calls or switching between audio and phone options. Eric asked us to bring the car back when we had a chance so that they could work out the kinks. We brought the car back on Monday and were pleased with how quickly they were able to fix the popping noise. Jim told us that they had to install another part that was $60 to remedy the audio problem. We were waiting for him to ask for our credit card, but were pleasantly surprised when he said that it would be on the house: a $60 part and labor!

I love my Valentine's day gift; the bluetooth is clear and the system operates via a small screen that scrolls music info and album art in color. We'll be using the bluetooth system for years to come; flowers would have been dead by now.

I wanted an iPod adapter in my '02 Explorer and chose this place because of all the great reviews.  Walked into the store on a Friday, a part had to be ordered, then had the unit in and working by Wednesday afternoon.  It was so nice going into a place where the guys obviously knew their s*** and were very upfront about everything.  I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me anything extra or otherwise screw me.  It was very telling to also see former customers come in with a question or two, and Jim took the time to answer them w/o seeming bothered.  He really cares about his work, too, since he asked that I give him a follow-up call to tell him how my adapter is working out.  I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!

I saw some great reviews on yelp about All Pro Audio, so I took a car
stereo I bought at Circuit City to have it installed. Jim the owner told me
it would be one of two prices well it was the lower price, because he is
an honest guy. I was so happy with the service and the sound, I had them
do some additional work. I still can not believe how great my car sounds. I can only say if you need a sound system in your vehicle there is onlyone
place you should go All Pro Audio!
