Review from Alec T.
Ewa Beach, HI
I've been going here since I got my puppy back in December of 2011. The entire staff is awesome. Everyone lovesm y puppy and treats him with the same love I do while home. They are very much concerned with my pets well being and make sure that they do what they need to in order for him to live a healthy life. parking in the area is the biggest issue, but that is in no way a reflection of how the office and staff operate. I really reccomend this place !!

We came in because my dog was straining and obviously had a UTI. Animal Clinic had told us my puppy had crystals in her urine and talked us into an ultrasound, where NOTHING was found. (Turns out there were CRYSTALS because when you REFRIGERATE urine, it WILL crystalize! You would think a VET would KNOW THAT. The other vet decided to take the urine straight from her bladder and there was nothing wrong with it.)
They also wanted us to feed her some crappy food with fillers, by-products, egg and corn, to help with her pass the "crystals" in her urine. Um, NO THANKS. We only feed our pets high quality food that are not found in vet clinics, sad to say. We eventually took her to Waipahu Leeward Vet for a second opinion, and all our problems were solved in 1 visit and 1 follow up, unlike here where we kept having to come in and do a bunch of unnecessary tests.
The one positive thing I can say about this clinic is the front office staff are GREAT. I mean, you can tell they really love pets. They LOVED our puppy and always played with her every time we came in. That was the only thing I felt bad about when asking them to have our files transferred, because it had nothing to do with them, it was more so the veterinarian who just wanted us to keep spending more money.
Do yourself a favor and don't go here. If you need a vet in Waipahu, check out Waipahu Leeward Vet Clinic. They are excellent. -

Despite the fact that I now live in town, I will make the trek to the ghettoriffic West Gate Center in Waipahu to the best vet I've encountered in the 5 years of my dog's life. I initially brought my pooch here when I lived in Ewa but wanted to find a vet closer. After moving to town, I heavily relied on yelp to inform me of trusted vets downtown. Emma was in dire need of a dental cleaning so I checked out one of the vets down the street. Not only did they charge me an arm and a leg for the visit, but they wanted over $700 to clean a chihuahua's teeth!! I then promptly called All Pets, and booked her for the next available appointment.
With meds and dental procedure I spent around $250, almost a third of what the other vets were asking. Several months later, her teeth and gums are still clean and healthy! The vets here are gentle and affordable, and really love on your animal. -

what: clinic that takes care of your pets!
something good: omg! love, love, love this clinic! we had just gotten a puppy and she needed her first puppy shots. i had no idea about anything when it came to the shots. so i made a top three list of clinics for pets and called each one. this was the only place that was patient enough to answer all my questions (and sounding cheerful doing it!) the receptionist here is very good! she was so helpful! when i took my puppy in the staff was also very genuinely caring and kind! :)
something not so good: nothing so far!
something to try: puppys first shots (105) & physical (60) -

Highly recommended place to take your pets!! I've been coming here for years for my dog and everyone is really sweet and friendly. It's walking distance from my house and very convenient for me. Also, they'll go over certain services and recommend only what's necessary. So no extra costs or services if your pet doesn't really need it. Overall, ^_^!

I have been taking my pet here for 5 years and I love the staff and doctors here. They are so polite and friendly. They always take great care of my dog. I would give it 5 stars but I took one star away because parking is a problem in this shopping center.

I recently adopted a kitten from the Humane Society in Honolulu where they gave us a list of Vet's in the area that offer free exams on any adopted animal.
I made an apointment for 4:00. The vet didn't even see us until 4:40. The assistants at the counter came up to us at 4:30 telling us it would be another 10 minutes, that the doctor had an emergency surgery. So I am assuming they only have one doctor on duty which is kind of a problem no?
The doctor was extremely nice and that is the only reason why I would ever go back there. She told us our kitten had an upper respiratory infection and showed us how to apply medication into his eye. She left and came back and told us that they didn't have any more medication for the kitten and that we'd have to go to a pharmacy to pick a prescription up. Ok fine. THEN I sat in the waiting room for 15-20 minutes waiting for the secretary to call all the pharmacys and she tells me that no one carries the medication we need for the cat. They said they would call a compound place to make the medication but they can't guarantee they can make it.
So now here I sit medication-less for my new kitten who can't see out of his left eye.
I just moved here so I am not sure how everything works in Hawaii but in New York vets usually carry the supplies they need or suggest to customers/patients.
If you want a nice vet and don't mind being there for a long period of time I would highly suggest them.
