I used All Out Moves recently for a local, "across the river" move, and they were simply awesome. They were affordable, reliable, efficient, nice, and professional yet easy-going folks - all that you could ask for in looking for movers.
This was actually the first time I decided to say "Fuck it. I'm going to hire someone else to do it" when it came to moving. And I'm very very happy with my decision. During the unloading, I was bored, and feeling kind of useless, so self-designated myself as truck-watcher while they did their thing. I was putzing around outside for a few minutes when one of the peeps with All Out Moves asked me to go upstairs, and I was wowed. They must know what they are doing, because they put most of my stuff in designated rooms or areas, without me even asking. And they didn't just put stuff anywhere, but they conscientiously placed stuff so there was room for me to move and unpack. It was a small, but super nice gesture.
Anyway. I would definitely use them again. A+++++++ WOULD HIRE AGAIN.

I recently used All Out Moves for a move from JP to Roslindale. My overall impression is that we got what we paid for-- solid movers who got the job done, but with none of the frills or guarantees that come with hiring a more expensive moving company.
Pros:
-Very fast
-Very friendly
-Very affordable
-They came by a few days early to move some things to the curb for me on trash day and didn't even charge me for it.
-Very laid back and flexible
Cons:
-They don't have their own truck so they have to rent one for moves. The day of our move they had to wait about 5 hours for a truck to be available, therefore we had to wait 5 hours for them to arrive. They are only as reliable as the truck company (not their fault, but something to consider).
-If you're neurotic and antsy like I am, you might be driven nuts by their tendency not to respond promptly to phone calls and emails
-When they were late they didn't call me to let me know what was going on until they were already a half hour late-- this happened both the day of the move, and the day they came over to move things down to the curb (again, if you're not anxiety-prone like I am, this may not be a big deal)
-They didn't bring moving blankets/pads with them for breakable items
-Some furniture was scratched and one particularly rickety table got broken (but is fixable) -

I just used All Out Moves for my move (to a 1BR apartment). They were on time, both friendly and professional, and were way faster than I could have even imagined people could be! The whole move was done by just two people in about two and a half hours, and that's all they charged me for (none of that annoying "rounding up" stuff). They were careful with fragile pieces, and caused no damage to anything I owned, to my old apartment, or to my new one during the move. They even took care of the necessary street parking permits for me AT COST - no additional fees associated with it, which was a nice bonus.
I'll definitely be using them for the next time I need to move. -

Loved the way All Out Moves handled my move: they were prompt, worked hard, and when something did break (and I take more than half of the responsibility because of my shoddy packing), Jay deducted a reasonable amount from the total AND replaced another item. Gay friendly, too, which is an added bonus. The crew was pleasant and efficient. I would hire them again.
