Had no idea vegan desserts could take the cake (forgive the pun...).
My sister was recently put a strict diet with no cow's milk products (including butter), eggs, or wheat. She was super bummed, thinking she wouldn't be able to have cake at her vow renewal ceremony. So I went to All of the Above, Inc. remembering how amazing their chicken salad popovers were, and asked about special orders.
I understand that seems like an odd connection. But since many people can get by making a delicious gluten-free dessert, I've begun judging true artistry by the savory accomplishments.
They made an almond cake, raspberry filling and chocolate ganache with chocolate frosting. AMAZING. No one wanted a very big slice at first; they were skeptical at best (you know how mainstream carnivores with no dietary restrictions can be). Everyone ended up having seconds and were so upset there were not thirds!
This is my number #1 gluten-free choice for everything! -

I've had many gluten free items in the past from many different bakeries and these were the best. Even my gluten eating husband loved them. We tried a pumpkin muffin, apple muffin, chocolate cupcake, oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and a sugar cookie and everything was delicioius and flavorful. We will definitely be coming back.

My friend has a gluten allergy and it is hard for her to find great sweets that are gluten free. She was going to come visit me for the day so I did a search for gluten free food places. I found this place and told her about it. She of course insisted we stop by as it is hard for her to find or make her own great gluten free baked goods. We came by here and at first thought it may be closed. We walked in and were greeted by the owner. She explained that they had recently moved and we walked into a soft opening or her stores re-opening event. There were not a lot of options left available as it was late in the day and again, it was a soft opening, but the owner was very nice and showed us what she had available. We ended up getting vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting. This is my first encounter with gluten free cupcakes and it does have its own unique flavor. Almost corn bread-ish but more rich. Definitely a great option to have in a world with limited baked goods without gluten. I am sure I will come back with my friend when she visits again.

The great thing about All of the Above is that it provides vegan and gluten free alternatives, and the owner is super friendly and nice. The bad thing is that the food isn't really good at all. I know, I know, I'm raining on everyone's parade here, but I have to be honest.
The bakery has a variety of vegan and gluten free muffins, cupcakes, and cookies, but they're just not that good (and I'm not just saying that because they're vegan and gluten free, I've had plenty of excellent baked goods that just happened to be vegan). The cookies were okay (try the almond or the peppermint), but the cupcakes were dry and so terrible that I could eat only one bite.
I'm happy that a vegan/gluten free bakery appears to be thriving. But I think that revamping the recipes is necessary to make the food good enough to appeal to a broader audience. -

Looks like they had to close their doors:-( There are signs on the window that a restaurant called Mistral will be coming soon. Sorry to see them go.

So glad to find this place!
It's often difficult to find a GOOD bakery that can cater to special dietary needs. My sister LOVED the Black Magic cake. No one else at the celebration knew that it was a special cake and raved about it.
Not only are the goodies great at this place, the service is stellar. The owner provided great information and new insight on gluten free needs.
Thanks so much -

After hearing about this little bakery from a lot of my patients who are on strict diets, I had finally the time to stop.
I wanted to treat my co-workers to some sweet good-for-you treats!
I had to try the pumpkin muffins and the bluberry upside down cake!
Excellent, I will be back.
Great customer service for my first time in, I was told about Tuesdays are closed and fresh items were being baked right now. So my blueberry cake was still warm and delicious!
So many great items to choose from! I also bought the vegan takes like honey honey made from agave, and maple syrup
Speaking of MAPLE, if they come up with a maple item, I will be there everyday!!!!!!! (maybe, I only work 4 days a week across the street!!!!) -

I love this place. It gives me the warm and fuzzies. Why, you ask?
Never mind the fact that this was my childhood pediatrician's office that my mother worked at, so the space feels so familiar. Never mind that the sugar free pumpkin muffins, the 75 cent "Oh My Darling" oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and the expresso drinks blended with COFFEE ICE CUBES are all to die for, and won't ever give me a stomachache. Never mind that Cait always has the best suggestions, be it food or music.
What impressed me was that when Lorilyn heard my name and my daughter's names for the first time, she had me write them down phonetically on a post it note, which you can still see on the stainless steel fridge near the door. What impressed me was that when I complained that most gluten free breads are disgusting and I missed having sandwiches, they started working on the bread recipe which now sits in their refrigerated case.
Cait and Lorilyn are sympathetic to the plight of those of us on special diets and seem to hold the belief that if you walk in the door, you are a friend. And even if I was not gluten intolerant, even if my daughter did not have a severe nut allergy, even if we both weren't lactose intolerant, we would be here. It's why you should be too. -

My husband and I recently made the switch to wheat free and love the results, but we still crave yummy things. We were delighted to learn about All of the Above Cafe & Bakery and made our way there this morning. Be forewarned - it's not the easiest place to find. But we were determined. (It's across the parking lot from Big Lots, in the Temecula Plaza shopping center - next to Allstate). It's definitely worth the extra effort to search for it!
We decided to try a few different things for "breakfast" and loved them all! We shared a pumpkin muffin, a pecan sticky bun and a raspberry filled popover. We stopped at that...but plan to return soon to sample EVERYTHING! The owners are lovely, the cafe is charming and the baked goods are as good as anything I've ever tasted WITH wheat. -

Anyone who complains about this place probably doesn't have gluten allergies!!
I'm on a gluten free diet and this place is like heaven for me! The cupcakes are amazing (my favorite are the chocolate mocha!), the pizza dough is delicious and the family that owns the place are all so nice!!
I've never been disappointed with the food or the employees!
Thank you All of the Above for bringing gluten free to Temecula!! -

I finally found some vegan cupcakes in Temecula. Yummy! Prices were fair considering the prices of vegan desserts. Service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be back, soon.

Wonderful family owned bakery. I felt very at home... as if I was at my friend's mom's house. I've had Baby Cakes Bakery in New York and this place is just as good, if not better. I love their pumpkin muffins and the chocolate bundt cake was stupendous. It was nice and warm, straight out of the oven. I can't wait to venture back! What a delight it is to have such a great bakery in our "not so urban" town.
