I highly recommend All My Sons for anyone planning a move, be it across town or, as we did, another state.
DH and I received quotes from three different companies. By far, the presentation made by the All My Sons estimator was the most professional presentation we had ever seen. It was exceptionally thorough, well documented and included customer references. One thing that I found very compelling was that their moving crews are full-time employees of the company, not day laborers picked up a job here and there, and I would have the same crew doing my loading and my unloading.
The price quote, which was a "not-to-exceed" number, unlike most companies, was 27% - 40% LESS than the others. At first, I thought it might be too good to be true. But we checked out their references, reviewed their documentation, and verified them with the Better Business Bureau (where they received an A+ rating). So we selected them.
I am happy to say the moving crew was as professional and thorough as the estimator. They took good care of my things and were very efficient with their time.
I would absolutely use them again. -

I didn't hire this company because when I spoke to them they told me the minimum move in the state of NC would cost me $2800. I have only a small apt, and that isn't true. I found many legit corporations that will do small moves. So I question the ethics of this company if they are telling prospective clients this kind of information.

This is the moving company we used to come to Raleigh. We thought they did a great job. They were the highest estimate we received, but they seemed to account for everything. Some of the other companies we interviewed did not seem to provide realistic estimates. As it turned out, there was only a $50 difference between the estimate and what we were actually charged. All of our dealings with this company were very business-like and professional. Everyone always showed up when they said they would, and nothing was lost or damaged in the move. We would definitely recommend them.

avoid these people like the h1n1 virus. we moved from raleigh to orlando, we contracted and bought contents insurance. they had about 8 people on the load up and since we couldn't watch everything we had loss and theft. several pieces of furniture were broken on the move and required extensive repair. they inventoried the items going into the truck but not coming out so we couldn't verify loss/theft. then they refused to pay some of the insurance claim even though we bought the extra insurance. so they ripped us off . check with the better business bureau, their complaints are multiple times higher than other national movers. we had none of these problems ever in about 6 local and long moves with other companies.
