Alan is the epitome of professionalism and personality uniquely braided into one very nice guy!
We were on a vacation in Hawaii and decided when we arrived back home to LA we'd like to do some paint updates to our laundry room, bedroom and bathroom. We found Alan on Yelp and were impressed by his reviews so we decided to give him a call and see what he could do for us. We left a message and received a phone call back immediately the next day which was exactly what we needed. When we decide to do something, we want it done fast and efficiently and the fact that he was so on top of returning our phone call and listening to our needs made us feel like we were a priority right away.
Alan gave us a spot on estimate over the phone just by listening to the description of our rooms and what we wanted to change. He clearly stated exactly what he needed from us and what we should expect from him and his crew which really took a lot of the anxiety out of the situation. He was able to organize his crew and the time requirements very quickly and they were at our house painting within three days of us contacting him. He even came over the night before to help us pick paint colors!
Alan arrived the morning of the job (after picking up the paint for us) to make sure everything was going accordingly; and then called four times throughout the work day to make sure everything was going as planned. The crew started at 8:30 am and was finished (including cleanup) by 5:00 pm. We've hired painters before who weren't nearly as thorough or fast.
We will recommend Alan's company to all of our family or friends who are looking for excellent paint work and we will definitely be using Alan's company for future projects. -

Great experience and beyond my expectations for fantastic results. The owner Alan was a gem to work with! His suggestions and recommendations were perfect in making my decisions feel right for design, color and choice! He works with a great crew who not only showed up on time but were respectful of my space and needs. Best of all I wanted Benjamin Moore for this project with a price that was right in my budget and they delivered!.
They were fair and of the highest quality in producing a beautiful looking kitchen and powder room for me & in every way I am thrilled with the results. -

Alan was amazing and so was his crew!
It was a daunting task to pick an unknown painter several states away, but Alan was so prompt with his phone and email communications with us, as well as being honest, helpful, and free with information, even before we told him he was hired!
He not only completed the job on short notice, on a weekend, he also helped pick great colors for our nicely redone apartment. And he was sensitive to our budget and our ever-changing minds about what to paint and what not to paint.
The finished product could not have been better! I would use him and his crew again anytime and would recommend him to my friends and family without hesitation. -

I have been meaning to write a review for a while, but seeing Ernie's review, now was the time. Not only did Alan immediately respond to me, he sent an email while ABROAD to let me know that he'd call upon his return from the trip. That alone demonstrated his customer service and business savvy.
On to the work...for whatever reason, some of our window sills had started to peel. We were planning to install honeycomb shades, but I didn't want to put them up before things were perfect again (not going to install something on chipped, curling paint). Also, when having our air ducts cleaned last year, the grates were removed without care, causing cracks in the paint and plaster.
I explained everything to Alan. He came out to look and told me he'd send one of his best guys to knock it all out in a day. And that he did. From morning till evening, he bounced from room to room, slicing, prepping, and painting everything back to its original form. If I had attempted this, it would've taken a week. He did it in 8 hours...and it looks great.
Oh, and back to the original point, Alan called during the work and after to make sure all was to my liking. It was, most definitely.

I was in a bind and needed someone to paint and patch my recently demo'd kitchen with one day's notice. I called Alan on a Monday morning and he had his crew out the next day at 8:30AM sharp ready to start work. The crew did an outstanding job patching all of the walls that had extensive damage after a backsplash was removed. In addition, they were accommodating to each specific request I gave them. Our electrician (who was working the same time as the painters) even commented about the speed in which they worked and how good they were.
Alan was extremely helpful throughout the process. He helped us greatly by recommending paint that would be the safest for our new infant (Mythic Paint by the way) and went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were satisfied at all check points. When Alan and I did a walk-through of the site, he was extremely thorough in his own evaluation even picking out things I had missed. He also provided terrific advice on other aspects of our remodel project which turned out to be invaluable.
I would recommend Alan and All Los Angeles Painting Company without hesistation for all jobs big and small. -

A late review for an absolutely phenomenal painting company.
I was keeping an eye on a friend's condo after she moved out of state. A couple weeks before Christmas she told me new tenants would be moving in shortly after the New Year and the ENTIRE condo (2400+ sq. feet, plus ceilings) would need to be repainted and cleaned up prior to their arrival. I went into near panic mode trying to find someone who could possible be up to such a daunting task on such short notice. Enter Alan and the All Los Angeles Painting Company.
Alan responded to my query incredibly quickly and met me at the condo at a convenient time to walk through and see what needed to be done. His suggestions and detailed (and exceptionally reasonable) estimate demonstrated a professional (but friendly) attitude and clear expertise in the field and I felt entirely comfortable giving him the job basically on the spot. I particularly appreciated it when he noticed some of the shoddy work that had been previously done in the bathroom (which had lead to bubbling, cracking and peeling). He even noticed a part of a door that had never been painted and that my friend never even noticed while she had been living there for several years.
A couple days later, he and his crew arrived and got to work. They were friendly and efficient, and I was given regular updates and invited to see the work to make sure I was happy with their progress. They ultimately finished the job a full day ahead of what Alan had originally estimated. The work was absolutely superb. I could not have been more pleased with how clean the colors and lines were and how much nicer the condo looked with the overhaul. The work he and his crew did to clean and repair minor scuffs and patches made it look like a brand new coat of paint.
Yeah, Alan runs a business, but I genuinely believe his number one priority is customer satisfaction. I've had dealings with painters in the past where they clearly padded the work with an open time frame or rushed it to meet a deadline they were incapable of meeting in the first place. You won't find that with Alan. I found him to be honest and professional and I don't hesitate to give him my highest recommendation. -

Alan just finished painting my West Los Angeles condo. I hadn't had my place painted for a long time and it really needed to be painted.
My condo is fully furnished with beautiful things. I needed to hire someone who I could trust that would not leave me with a dusty mess at the end of the job.
After getting estimates from a couple of other people, I choose Alan because I felt most comfortable that he would paint my place with the greatest care.
It took Alan and his crew five days to paint my place. I hung around for some of it and saw how much time went into covering and protecting my things. I couldn't be happier with the results.
He did a great job and kept my place clean and dust free. I've got 1370 square feet and paid $8,500.00 to paint the place. It was expensive, but worth it because I'm happy. -

I just got an incredible paint job on the interior of my house. I have never experienced any kind of construction workers or painters that were so clean, organized and respectful of me and my stuff.
Alan's crew started work every day at 8AM and worked in my house until I arrived home at 4:30. Alan met me every morning at 8 to make sure everything was running smoothly for me. I couldn't make up my mind on my colors even though Alan was already painting in my house. He saved me and patiently directed me to the right colors. I needed someone who could get me to make a decision. He did.
Besides their cleanliness, the job that they did was amazing. They finished my interior with beautiful colors from Dunn Edwards Paint. I'm picky and after closely inspecting the painting work that was done, I truly feel like I have a new house. Alan's work is impeccable!!! -

We have lead paint under a bunch of layers of other paint which is chipping on some doors, and seeing as how we have a new baby, I wanted to work with someone who knows how to deal with it. Found Alan and his company on Yelp and thought they had to be too good to be true. I checked out his website and found he's EPA certified to deal with lead paint. Called him and had a nice chat about the job. He listened to my concerns and gave me his thoughts. He was leaving for a trip but said he'd call when he returned, which he did. We met soon after, and he walked me through some options, not pushing anything one way or the other. We decided to start by stripping some door jambs with non-toxic stuff and repainting in hopes it would eliminate anymore paint chipping on the doors. So far so good. They're coming back soon to work on some other things.
A few things that make Alan and his crew stand out: 1) He calls when he says he's going to call; 2) He's knowledgeable about proper lead paint removal and eco-friendly products; 3) His workers take care to prep and clean thoroughly, and 4) He did not minimize my concerns nor use them to his benefit.
We will definitely use Alan for all our future painting needs! -

These guys were amazing. Alan and his crew of talented artists transformed our little loft space into a breath of fresh air. I was so impressed by their detail oriented way of painting and their promise to go above and beyond what was asked of them. Their team was paid by the day and had only a limited amount of paint to work with, but nonetheless they finished their job before the deadline and painted more walls for no extra charge! I can't ask for anything more than what they did, they not only did what they were supposed to do, they surpassed it! I highly HIGHLY recommend them.
Do yourself a favor and hire this team to take care of your home, you won't regret it. -

Wow, talk about an excellent painting contractor!
Husband and I needed to hire a painter on short notice who could get all the walls of the interior of our newly purchased 1300sq ft home done in two days. Not many people could get that done (plus some extra stuff) but All Los Angeles Painting Company did.
Alan came out and took a look at our home with an expert eye and pointed out various things that needed to be done as well. We had cracks in our ceilings, especially by a skylight, that needed to be patched, gaps along our floorboard that should be sealed, carpet peaking out from under the fireplace (I don't know...)...a lot of things that we originally were going to put off but that Alan suggested should and could be done in the amount of time we had and with our budget.
He sent us to Sherwin Williams to pick out our house paint colors. Originally, we were going to use Behr paint since it was cheaper but we're glad that Alan convinced us to go with SW because the quality really is superior, like he said, and well worth the higher price.
His guys worked really fast and did a fabulous job. All the edges were clean and they got all the walls painted, the carpet pulled out, the floorboards sealed, the ceiling patched and painted and even managed to fit in doing a fresh coat in our closets!! Whew! Talk about productive and efficient! And they did an awesome job both prepping and cleaning up after themselves so no mess was left behind; no drips, dribbles or drops of paint where there should be none.
We are definitely going to use All Los Angeles Painting for all our house painting needs in the future. -

Alan runs an exceptional painting company. He is not just a painting contractor. He is an effective designer, who can competently explore design options and color palettes, as well as come up with intelligent proposals for how to paint a house without ruining the lives of the occupants. Their work was consistently excellent - better than I expected. They're not cheap, but if you determine value based on quality and peace of mind, he's a bargain.

I needed my condo painted and I called Los Angeles Painting Company. They helped me pick out the colors and they crews came out and painted the place in one day. They did an excellent job. The covered everything and there was no paint spilled on the floor and anywhere you wouldn't what it. They made sure that there was adequate coverage of paint of the walls and ceilings.
I had a different company once do a job and I had to ask them to make sure the walls had adqedate coverage. -

All Los Angeles Painting just finished painting our home. They did a professional, quick and clean job. In fact, they did such a sharp job our house looks new! Alan was true to his word. He came when he said and his crew finished our house exactly on time.
My husband and I have a house full of kids and thought it would be difficult to have our house painted while we were living in it, but All Los Angeles Painting Company made it easy. They covered all our floors, carefully moved our furniture, painted quickly with non-smelly paints, and put everything back in its place when they finished.
They did a great job on the regular painting, and their special finish work was amazing. We asked Alan for a suggestion for something dramatic for our dining room. Alan did a deep red Venetian Plaster on my dining room walls. It is now my favorite room in the house.
We saved money on an interior decorator because Alan stepped up and helped us pick all our colors! He was very knowledgeable. It was like having a painting contractor and interior designer all in one. -

I was in the market for a house painter, but did not want just a cheap-o slop job. Alan was highly recommended by a good friend and he came right over to scope out the job. I needed to get the work done quickly, and he said he would help me. I was specifically interested in Farrow & Ball colors. Not only was I in a rush, I also needed someone to help with my color selection. Alan was very patient and picked beautiful colors. Also, Alan's crew was knowledgeable and efficient -- he and his crew of 12 did not waste time standing around. He took really great care of my house. I'm a very happy customer.

I can not say enough about All Los Angeles Painting Company! I had several companies come out to give me an estimate, but Alan was by far the most knowledgeable and professional. He is not only professional and hires an equally professional crew, but he is intuitive as well. My 1930s Spanish style home needed a serious facelift as it hadn't been painted for over 10 years!
I was impressed with how meticulous the crew was in the prep work. Actually, this is when I was so beyond glad that I hired him! The crew never cut corners and they really did scrape the old paint so that we didn't have pockets of loose paint popping up after the new paint had been put on. The clean up was also very impressive! Every day...and I mean EVERY day those guys CLEANED UP!!!..no soda cans, cigarette butts, paint chips...no tools or any other odds and ends were left without care on my property. Instead, the plastic, the paint chips...everything was picked up and disposed of each evening. Tools were placed neatly in one designated spot. And then there was the actual painting! Flawless! Alan helped us with the the perfect shade for the house and trim. (He really is much much more than a painter!)
Our home needed TLC and top notch work and that's what Alan and his crew delivered. Alan clearly communicated with me and was an excellent LISTENER. He even emailed me when he was out of the country!!! Alan really does care. He has integrity and is truly passionate about helping his clients realize their visions of their home.

" If you are looking for an efficient house painter and interior designer - all at the same time, All Los Angeles Painting Company Inc. is the one you are looking for. They have excellent service and they truly deserve my five star rating. Alan is truly remarkable. I've contacted them to repaint my guest-room-turned-nursery. I don't know if it was my hormones playing tricks with me but I was truly undecided when it came to choosing the right color. So naturally I was a difficult customer to please! Alan and his team were so patient and very professional. Instead of pushing me into making a decision, or worse yet, deciding for my, he suggested several options that he thought would work well in the room. His recommendations were really amazing, I ended up allowing him to do his thing and I was so amazed when I saw the result! I am so glad I gave them a chance - they are so creative and obviously experienced. Added to that, they are always on time and ready to be of assistance. Another thing that amazed me was Alan's attention to detail. He suggested that we use SW paints because of the quality and the fact that it will last for years. They worked according to our preferences, such as the number of days needed and whether we will need an extra pair of hands to finish in time. He organized the job so that they had more people available and simultaneously saving time and finishing well within the required deadline. That saved us on costs as well. Alan personally managed his team and he was available every step of the way. Job well done!

I come from a construction background and Alan is hands down the most knowledgeable house painter when comes to getting a job done best and at a reasonable price. He's done quite a lot of house painting jobs for me over the years, and from my experience he's always been reliable and has always come through on our predetermined budget.
For me, the most important part in any business relationship is trust. I know when I work with Alan that he is looking out for my best interest. I feel comfortable handing him the key to my house when I go to work.
Another great part about All Los Angeles Painting Company is that Alan has a flair for interior design. He has always suggested great interior colors and finishes. Out of all the painting contractors I have worked with over the years, All Los Angeles Painting is the only one I work with. -

This is a top notch painting contractor!! I asked them to paint my parent's duplex and they did excellent work. My parents are elderly and had not maintained the paint, trim or cosmetics very well. This painting contractor came in and took care of it all with great attention to detail. The cracks disappeared, the trim looks like new, the painting was very clean. The duplex is quite old and large but you'd think it had just been built with that old world charm. I highly recommend this painting contractor for any kind of paint and cosmetics work. Top shelf painting contractor!!

I have a friend who tend to be very particular about how things are done and made. His carry wallet is work of art to him, his car has to be just so, his front and back yards have to manicure just the way he likes it., and so on. He is a pleasant individual but very particular. When he needed painting and cosmetics done to the house, i did not hesitate to recommend All Los Angeles Painting.
When the job was done I was amazed and my friend was very pleased. Corners adn edges were painted perfectly, the paint looks very rich and even, all of the woodwork was caulked at the walls and the place looked brand new. Amazing work! These are seriously good contractors. -

Alan and his team are fantastic! My place needed color on the walls bad. I called Alan and was taken with his passion for paint right away. I was looking to paint two bedrooms, a living room and a half-bath in different colors AND then find a good neutral to tie them all together. Alan patiently studied the colors I was looking at and made recommendations, but made it clear that it was ultimately my choice, which was nice. I've had contractors who push their opinions on me and it just doesn't sit well, especially when they're giving you the condescending "honey-I've-done-this-for-YEARS" bit.
All Los Angeles Painting works with Sherwin Williams paint, specifically with the Sherwin Williams store in Westwood. Like Alan, these guys know their stuff and were very nice to work with. Alan's guys could work wonders with whatever they're given, but when you think about the difference in price (about $10/gallon more), and consider how long it'll last on your walls (years!), you may as well pony up for the nicer stuff.
All told, I spent close to $800 on paint and materials and then ALAP charges a flat fee per man per day. Depending on how many guys you need and how many days you want them there, your total price will vary. For my place, we originally estimated it would take two or three days, each time bringing a crew of four guys. We were able to trim some of the work that wasn't urgent and brought it down to one day, six guys. I was also able to return some of the materials we didn't use, like rollers and paint trays. As with most stores, you can't return custom-mixed paint, so choose wisely.
The crew was scheduled to arrive at 9 on a Sunday morning and Alan called ahead of time to ensure me they were on their way. This may not seem like a big deal, but I've had contractors just not show up, or show up hours late without warning, so those little things are appreciated. These guys did a great job, and they took the time to fix details like the area around the handrail on the stairs or around the windows. They care about their craft and it shows. To top it all off, they were super polite and were very nice about fixing little drips and things here and there.
By six that evening my place had been transformed. Seriously, it looks SO much better with actual colors on the walls and not that Swiss Coffee crap. Alan came by at the end and inspected the work, which again impressed me. I've had other contractors drop off workers and then not check their work, leaving you to do quality control on your own. Not cool. Not only that, Alan called a few days later to make sure I was still happy with everything. How often does that happen?
If I need to paint anything ever again, I'm calling All Los Angeles Painting. You should too! -

I used All Los Angeles Painting on my personal home and cannot begin to sing Alan's praises enough. He was professional, always pleasant to deal with, and had an outstanding crew. His attention to detail throughout the process made me feel he always had my best interests as a customer at heart. I have dealt with many contractors, and have had the best experience overall with him and his company. Even my neighbors were impressed with the expediency of the project and how courteous his crew was. I will not hesitate to use him on future projects.

As a teacher, my budget was limited when it came to painting my house. The owner, Alan, was always available to answer my questions and work with me on a price I could afford. All Los Angeles Painting Company is great to work with. Alan is responsive and easy to deal with and is absolutely the best house painter that I know of. His work is high quality, a bit more expensive than most - but well worth the investment. I appreciated how quickly he got the work done, his help in selecting the right colors and he patched two of my ceilings after the electrician installed lights at no additional cost so he could stay within the budget he originally promised. Highly Recommended!

Alan's crew arrived on time and did a fine job painting the trim and cleaning up. The price was reasonable, the workmanship was very good and they were on time. Don't know what else you could want. I think these guys are great for a small or large painting job.

All Los Angeles Painting has been doing superb painting work on our house. Alan, the owner, is always available and patient. We expect things perfect and Alan always delivers. His painters are extremely skillful. He works to our schedule and his work is outstanding.
Alan also has an amazing eye for colors which has saved us a lot of money instead of having to hire a designer.
In my 40+ years, I have dealt with many contractors and trades people. Alan and All Los Angeles Painting are without doubt the best. -

I was very impressed by the work ethic of this company. They arrived promptly for the estimate and completed the job on time! I admit that theirs was not the lowest estimate, but I was so impressed with Alan's professional attitude that I chose them anyway. I was right! We own a very old commercial building badly in need of paint! The crew did a wonderful job on the exterior of the building including repairs that were not on the original estimate! When the crew got to the inside of the building, there were repairs needed for the drywall as well, and they were fixed without a word! The colors were matched perfectly and there were no extraneous paint marks on the ceilings or baseboards. Alan finished on schedule and kept me apprised of the progress. There was extra time and paint at the end of the job and Alan had the crew paint a bathroom at no extra charge. When you work with Alan, you can tell that each endeavor is more than just a job. He is friendly and informative. He will work with you on colors and can also create very different looks, updating old areas. I consider "All Los Angeles Painting Company" my find of 2010!

We are so satisfied with the exterior house painting job we just received on the external part of our house. All the painting was completed as we preplanned with Alan, plus some. Several areas, such as the detached garage and brick fence, were totally painted, even though this was not originally requested. This was a plus. Personally, we found Alan always accessible and kept up to date on the progress. Alan is the painting contractor we recommend. This painting company deserves a five star rating.
