Review from Tom B.
A great corner hangout in an area with all kinds of resident artists and free thinkers. A very conversational crossroads among all kinds of painters, sculptors, craftspeople, and those in the light-industrial and aerospace employ available nearby. The big windows, plentiful tables, and cool rounded corner location make this seem like a hang at least as much as a coffee shop, which is as it should be. At a glance, you know that much of the interesting conversation in this town has gravitated to this spot.
The service is laid-back and, while not hurried, still efficient, and very friendly in a low-key way. The coffee is great, and the prices are good. Georgetown isn't usually a morning spot for me but the appeal of this place is strong, and I could certainly see pulling off the freeway for a cup when I am on my way south somewhere. -

Moved out of the neighborhood and apparently once they stop recognizing you here, you'll get the cold shoulder. I took my friend visiting from Arizona after raving about all my great All City memories only to feel a chill as soon as we opened the door.
We figured it might be an off day so we continued to the counter to place our order, but we soon regretted ever visiting. Not only did the girl taking our order scowl at us like we were yesterday's trash, but she also got my friend's name AND drink order wrong. The barista on duty (not the ice queen who took our order) was was nice about it when my friend asked for the correct drink, but somehow the wrong drink was made again. She dared to ask for a correction one more time and the third order was still not what she had asked for. An Iced Vanilla Latte isn't exactly the most unusual of orders so I am not sure what went wrong.
The cherry on top was that my soy latte wasn't as good as I had remembered. I should have left this place just a memory.1 Previous Review: Show all »

This coffee shop has the Georgetown vibe to it. It also reminds me of a coffee shop in Bellingham. It has the vintage and old feel to it, with well-used furniture and outdoor seating. It also has local art on the main wall, which rotates out. Art is not particularly my style, but definitely is the kind of art that displays Georgetown.
It has a mixed crowd of various ages, and offers free wi-fi. I love the coffee!! But I wish they had a better selection of pastries. The pastry do not look so appetizing. Particularly because of the display case and presentation (sometimes wrapped in plastic). Besides that, I've tried the ham and cheese croissant and found it tasty. -

The coffee is really good! Had a mocha and a cappuccino and both were delicious. It closes at 7pm on Sundays, and we went at about 10 to 7 thinking they'd be open late. The barista noticed we were setting up our computers and whatnot and proceeded to give us our drinks for free, but stating he "ruined our night". So unnecessary but greatly appreciated. Obviously fantastic customer service. Looked like a cool little joint.

I am still a fan of the sbux caramel macchiatto, but their vanilla latte was ok. The blueberry muffin was not moist or sweet enough, but the pizza bagel was pretty good.

Over the last couple of years, this place has grown on me. I've really come to appreciate the fact that this place is upbeat and full of natural light (as opposed to the dark and intellectual feel of many other coffee shops), and the service is very friendly. The coffee is still okay-but-not-great, but it does the job, and I haven't been assaulted by punk rock music at 9AM in well over a year:)

I love the location, but the environment is cold (concrete floor, hard wood chairs, no plants, fireplace, rugs, etc.). So that leaves just the coffee, food and service to judge.
Service is fine, coffee good, food not good. I am eating a stale croissant on a Friday morning. $7 for a juice and plain croissant should mean fresh squeezed and a light, delicate croissant. Oh well. Did I mention I like the location? -

I do love the coffee here. They use Cafe Vita beans and when you get a shot of espresso it's sweet and dark like crude oil. They also know to give you a glass of water when you order a shot. The Baristas know their stuff and move quickly through a line of customers.
The space is comfortable and always has some cool art on the walls.
They also play music from a second generation iMac that looks like ET sitting behind the counter. -

It's my usual morning hangout, love it or hate it. Much as I try, it's trending towards the latter. I'm not the sensitive type, and aside from fodder for storytelling, I don't really care too much about who says what to me in a coffee shop. But the service can be so surly and seemingly capriciously targeted it leaves me unable to think much other than, "WTF?!?"
My best guess is that I sport an Eastside-ish haircut, have fewer than normal tattoos, and sometimes drag a kid or two with me when I come in, and thus don't match the neighborhood's hipster lean. Eh, based on my math, most of the All City staff had yet to taste coffee (or perhaps solid food) when I moved to this hood.
Here before you. Mine. Suck it. -

I have frequented All City quite a few times bc it is very close to work, but today is the last. I ordered a skinny latte and received a spoiled milk latte, but I didn't notice until I was 10 miles down I-5. I politely called them to give them a heads up that their milk was spoiled. They answered, I explained the situation and they had zero response! Ummm hello, I said something is up with your milk, you might not want to serve it to anymore customers. I was polite even though out $4 and no caffeine battling traffic on the 5.
I am more upset about the person that answered the phone then the complete over-sight on serving spoiled milk.
I unfortunately will have to support another company that cares about their customers. -

Ever since I got a job outside of the the confines of downtown Seattle I've searched in vain for a coffee shop that doesn't make me feel like a total loser/suburbanite. In that vein All City Coffee definitely meets the need.
You've got your assortment of Georgetown regulars with the requisite tattoos, dreadlocks and piercings - but also neighborhood blue collar types and the occasional "tech professional" (I use that term loosely) like myself. Cool art, eclectic selection of music too.
But wait, you say, where's the review of the coffee. It's good, if not great, every time I go here. I've never had a poorly pulled shot. I've had cold drinks, hot drinks, a sampling of the pastry (which is all fine). All served with just the right amount of espress-fueled barista attitude.
My only complaint is that during busy times the staff moves at the same pace (I suppose that's how they maintain quality) and there's rarely enough staff to keep up with demand, so you can wait a while. -

I like my coffee shops like I like my coffee (like I like my men?): MINIMALIST. I don't add anything to my coffee. Ever. The Beastie Boys once sang to me, "I like my sugar with coffee and cream." I converted -- I went from drinking sugar with coffee and cream to literally... just drinking coffee. The coffee here is very good. (Though I will qualify my statement by saying that I do order caffe lattes, but I never touch the beverage once it has been handed to me over the counter.)
Something about entering a space with zero wall decor, save for the artistic event announcements and posters adorning the structural columns, gives me great joy. The barista was so friendly and I must apologize for the impending caps but the sheer fact that All City serves NUTELLA BRIOCHES (is that the correct plural form?) is enough to have me returning.
It helps that I am also an avid Georgetown neighborhood fan and supporter. Plus, the combination of classical music playing during my visit and retro kitchen appliance display blew my mind. So many good things to write about -- so little time and not enough nutella brioches to make a woman happy. -

Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!!!
I can hardly say enough about All City
Here's my drink.......tall black coffee w/ a "shot in the dark" (aka. coffee w/ a shot of coffee)
What does this mean? I like coffee, and I'm judging the coffee for...wait for it....you guessed it, THE COFFEE!
I've been in to All City Coffee about 50 times now and I have nothing bad to say. The coffee is fantastic, the staff is on point and non-pretentious and to top off the quality, I like the shop.
If All City Coffee were a doctor, I would recommend them to every friend in need of a coffee injection.

Good tea & coffee. Good wifi. There's always a seat yet it's never entirely empty. I wish they have a better and wider selection of pastries....there were many times when there was either none left or very few. Although, I got their ginger molasses cookie last time and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too sweet, which, to me, is the worse sin any cookie can commit.

All the bohemian, all the time. All city is a comfortable little place to hide out from corporate establishments when you are down in the Georgetown area of Seattle. And for GAWD's sake do we need a place to run and hide from that crap! I am allergic to fluorescent lighting and fake boobs. So I much prefer an atmosphere free from these allergens and misguided automatons. All City has good strong coffee -- a requirement of mine. Non of this watered down, burnt out joe for this cat. I don't drink Budweiser and I don't drink Folgers. All City serves neither.
It is a real coffee place, no plastic, no facade. -

Awesome shop! The Georgetown area of Seattle is a truly REAL part of Seattle. Great little area with awesome establishments - All City Coffee fits in perfectly to the industrial area. If you're in this part of town, the coffee, espresso, caps, etc are all top tier stuff!
Also if you like big, huge machinery, this is a cool place to visit while checking out trains, planes, and other giant things of this sort. They're all over the place!
...and the wifi is good. Not always perfect plug placement for whipping out the laptop. -

Great coffee (hooray for La Marzocco machines!) in the middle of Georgetown. If I lived in Georgetown, I'd be here often.
It's comfortable, and feels lived in in a 'lazy Saturday, I'm just going to sit around my place and drink coffee all day' kind of way, which is great b/c... well, it looks as though there is a lot of sitting around and drinking of coffee all day' in this place.
We were there later in the afternoon, so I'm not sure about pastries, but they carry something I've never seen before. They looked to be little pockets of cheese and spinach, or something by my beloved 'La Spiga.' I didn't know La Spiga made sandwiches for coffee shops!? Or maybe they do just for All City. No clue, but I liked what I saw.
My Americano was great and the barista friendly.

I'm not really a coffee drinker - I have enough vices without adding caffeine to the mix.
That being said, sometimes (perhaps on a gorgeous, sunny Saturday when you're traipsing around Georgetown after breakfast with your bff) a girl has to have a cold beverage that isn't water or juice. This is where All City helped me out.
By 1ish on Saturday it was pretty steamy in Gtown...All City had their doors open and a breeze to beat the band rolling through, so we decided to make a stop. The iced chai wasn't very remarkable, but I can't fault a barista for that since they're typically making it with Oregon Chai mix (not sure if this is the case for ACC, but I know they aren't making it from scratch).
We sat next to the open door and that fantastic breeze, which was wonderful until it blew The Stranger that we had on our table into my drink, spilling the iced chai over the table, floor and my leg.
The barista seemed non-plussed and kept insisting on making me another drink even though it was obviously not his fault, and hurried to help clean it up until he got slammed with another rush of customers (and he still managed to make me another drink).
I can't tell you if they have the best coffee in the city, but I can tell you they have a nice staff, great mellow atmosphere and decent chai and I wouldn't hesitate to stop by when I'm in the area again and in need of a caffeinated beverage.Listed in: Georgetown, not just for…

This is a cool place. Although on the outskirts of downtown, this coffee shop feels like the center of the universe when you are here. The coffee shop is quint and small with a wooden interior and art. This area is also filled with art studios, so if you are going on art walk, its a good choice for a coffee drink or a hot cocoa and maybe a bagel or a sandwich. At least, they used to make sandwiches.

The coffee Gods have blessed me once again. Oh help me God, God and baby Jesus!
Working in Georgetown, I thought the only place to get anything besides drip coffee was lame-o Starf*ckers, until I noticed one day on my drive home along Airport Way South, this lovely little place. I think I saw it many times before, it just never registered until just recently. Probably because of the lack of a decent cup of coffee to get me through the day. Well, not anymore!
I've been in here quite a bit lately, and every time, I walk out a satisfied customer. I usually just get drip coffee, I know what I wrote above, but my second time at the shop they were all out of drip coffee so the barista offered to make me an Americano instead. Needless to say, it was delicious, since then, a tall Americano has been my drink of choice.
I still have yet to try one of their wide selection of pastries, but it's just a matter of time before it goes down. The people who work here seem angsty, yet hip. Georgetown perfection at it's finest. I love it, and I love their coffee. Drink up, buttercup! -

When in Georgetown, I request that my clients meet me here instead of Starfu.ks. I consider this my Georgetown satellite office. I log onto their free wi-fi via my MacBook. I loved the former Pioneer Square location.
They don't take themselves too seriously here, but the coffee is great and it's very laidback. I could hang out here for hours. La Marzocco espresso machine - no push the button Starf.cks/McDonalds machine here. The design & woodwork is akin to Bauhaus Coffee & Books so I'm assuming it's the same craftsman?
Located on the backside of Smarty Pants or 1 block west of Airport Way, 1/2 block north of Michigan St. across the street from Via Tribunali pizza. -

Great Coffee.
Nicely served in ceramics, though my Americano was in a mug, I prefer the latte cup.

Cool and the gang as it's right there in G-Town
Replicate my G-Town experience by hitting the George Town Truck Stop for lunch and then a coffee at the All City. (The Truck Stop has great coffee, but it's good to see the town right?) -

I've been here a few times and had varied experience with service. However, the coffee is good - I like that its been a Georgetown staple - as the area continues to grow and change - and the setting is bright and airy perfect to sit in or outside on a sunny day.

Location is key. If you're on foot and somewhere in the southern end of downtown, All City Coffee is a great place to kick back and relax with a little brew & coffee. Driving? Somewhat of a pain in the arse to get to, especially if you're trying to find parking between 3PM-7PM when 3rd Ave is closed to general public. I was stopped by police thinking that I could make it down 3rd one block to take a left.
The two floor seating area is unique. Lighting upstairs is a little too dark for reading at night. Although the place feel quite large with high ceilings and tall windows, I thought there could have been a few more extra tables / chairs for customers.
Reviews for coffee? Not here. Reviewing coffee quality in Seattle is like trying to review bottled water in the desert. But hey, there are little cupcakes here, a bit on the dry side, but something to wash down with coffee, juice, etc.Listed in: The laptop toting "coffee"…

This is my new place to work when I'm not at the office. They have wifi, great seating areas and awesome coffee. They even carry some great bottled beverages like bibi cafe. Yum. And if you are an airplane fanatic like my boyfriend, the best part is the location. You can see the bellies of plane after plane as they go in for a landing at boeing. Oh, and I love the music they play - last time I was there some old Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog came on. And as a dog friendly place, seeing everyone's pooches playing around made working on the weekend quite enjoyable.
I dropped a star for a relatively early closing time. I'd love to be able to come here in the evening. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to limit my after hours work times to 7pm. Darn. :-) -

HOLY SHIT! THIS COFFEE SHOP IS DOG FRIENDLY ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME?
I don't care if it's in Georgetown, aka far away. I'll make the trek if I can bring my dog in to hang out w/ me while I sip on a lovely (decaf) coffee drink.

Another one of my favs. This place tops its Pioneer Square cousin hands down. It's a long way to go for coffee, but its totally worth it if you like eclectic Georgetown. Good coffee, friendly people and free Wi-Fi. It' appears that this is a favorite Burner hangout as well so I felt at home. For example about 40% of the customer have their hair dyed a funky color.
For connectivity, connect to the access point "all city". There aren't many power outlets, so get a spot near the southern most window, where there are 4 power outlets and a long table. -

Okay, so I oftentimes make fun of this place. It's totally one of those places where I never feel hip enough to be.
But if you say yes to any of the following, you may in fact be:
A. Dreadlocks
B. Birkenstocks with socks
C. A mac
D. A dog
If you have all 4, you're probably there daily.
Seriously though... I like that they have local art up, and they get some serious props for having Yerba Mate tea. Yum! -

Pretty good coffee & really quick and friendly service but I was the ONLY person wearing color. I felt like I'm not cool, depressed or hip enough to hang out here.

We almost didn't go in cause we were so intimidated by the coffee house punk rock patrons hanging out outside who gave very obvious eye rolls to BF and I when I locked up our rental car(yes, it automatically honks when I lock it using the keyless entry, it's out of my control- so sue me!).
BUT- we did go in... and we did get vanilla lattes. And they were... awesome. The barista wasn't the friendliest but I dug the communal tables... and the high ceiling and the music, and the vibe in general. And a cafe located immediately next door to one of the coolest comic shop/record stores I've ever had the pleasure of visiting?
I'd definitely regulate if I lived here. -
Review from Robert H.
Georgetown is the town time forgot until a few years ago. The very old neglected industrial buildings, and a few old houses give a clue to what thriving Georgetown once was, when home to the sixth largest brewery in the world, in its day. It started on a hop farm, most of Georgetown at the time, the mighty Rainier. Then it became an industrial sacrifice zone in the shadow of Boeing Field.
Much longer than 5 years ago, artists in search of cheap and unregulated warehouse living and studio space found Georgetown and its secret surrounds. Need a studio with a crane? Check. Heat, optional, unless you are running a glass hot shop. Brownfield? Probably. Those studios constructed autonomous communities around themselves where late night performances didn't disturb the neighbors.
But it is no longer a temporary autonomous zone. Artists are the shock troops of development, we will see if that is Georgetown's fate. Cafes follow artists. Like All City. My friend had a studio in the building, so I saw the neighborhood in the early-mid artist stage.
Bars and shops followed, and now the neighborhood is a prime hangout. The merchants launched second Saturday food, drink and shop Attack, and the rest is history. Daytime All City is the community center, for neighbors and visitors, great people watching or for striking up a conversation. People are in endless variety. Mornings you might find Seattle software miners working off the rush hour crush before heading into town. Other times the dress code here is artist, inked, thrift star, biker, fixie, Chucks. So if you are wearing a power blue suit or a Forever 21 tube dress, you might feel out of place.
The remodeling is adequate, the bathroom relatively clean, about equivalent to Portland's 3rd Street Stumptown, there are plenty of seating options, none fancy, the barista's bike is parked behind the bar. It all comes together perfectly.
The coffee was perfect, I had some iced. All City has been a great supporter of Seattle artists, unfortunately the Toshiro-Kaplan location closed, but they always hosted art and music events.
Seattleites know that Airport Way can be a good alternative to I5 at times, one of those times is perfect to stop by All City and read email.
The city has discovered Georgetown is a great source of parking violation revenues. Study the signs, Seattle is notorious for regulations that practically require you carry a tape measure. In front of the cafe there is tail in parking, the reverse will cost you $42, in case you were wondering. -

I am in LOVE with the new VEGAN CUPCAKES! They are like a gift from heaven. Thank you thank you thank you for finally stocking vegan items. Now if I can just get you to offer Better Than Cream Cheese for your bagels, I'll be happy.
Actually I have one more request, Dear ACC, Please bring back drip coffee. French press is no good after it's been sitting in an air pot for more than 20 minutes. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea totally replace drip with french press? I can see offering french press to those who request it. But all I want is a normal coffee.... one that doesn't leave behind a trail of grinds. Please bring back drip coffee. Pretty Please. -

Good coffee in Georgetown! A stop by here is a good move on your part, especially during the Georgetown Art Attack. It's good for a caffeine pick me up with a local art installation to view.
The staff seems bored but the coffee is alright! I like the space allot and enjoy the variety of seating to sit and sip on..
..some days ya feel like a couch.. another day you want a twirling chair.. or maybe a basic plastic chair will do ya.
Tips:
- Outdoor seating in summer is prime as ya watch the scooters, bicycles and motorcycles go by.

I love the fact that this place is so open and airy with big windows and high ceilings. The bistro chairs and tables on the sidewalk make for a nice make for a nice pace to hunker down with some coffee, book/laptop, and take in the goings on of this burgeoning strip of Georgetown.
The snacks selection seemed a little weak with a couple of plates of baked goodies, but they do brew Cafe Vita which is always good. Kudos as well for having a cool t-shirt design and for playing a nice selection of eclectic showtunes, indie, and classical music in the background. -

Decent coffee and a good place to hang with the exception of one barista who is an incredible grouch. Kind of puts a damper on the vibe.
