Review from Daryl S.
Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, CA
We called several pest removal companies over a two week period after we heard a "scratching" sound above our kitchen. All City Animal Trapping was the only company that called us back!
Devin called and gave a time window and was within the window. In addition, he called 15-30 minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way.
At first he started with some "worst case scenarios" which had me a little freaked out (rats in pipes). But, after going in our attic and seeing the paw prints he told us that it was a raccoon. Unfortunately it is "birthing season" for raccoons and we were warned about it possibly having babies.
So, he left us with two traps and said he'd come back on Saturday to patch up the holes. The traps only caught a squirrel :(
But, he did come back today (Saturday) and patched up the holes. My husband and Devin scoured the attic and decided that the raccoon was not in there at the time. (Cross your fingers for me.)
Overall, a very good experience. -

I used All City before and was pleased; this time I couldn't even get them to respond. I left two messages on their regular line, emailed twice and then--in desperation--left a detailed message on their emergency number. No one ever contacted me, which leads me to the conclusion that they don't care and/or don't need the business. Thanks a bunch, guys--so much for truth in advertising.

I cannot recommend All City Animal Trappinag and Pest Control. I had a problem with moles. The technician, Jonathan, came to my home at the agreed upon time and set 4 mole traps. He set up an appointment with me to return the following week to check the traps. He did not return and despite numerous calls to him and the company, no one returned my calls. They did not fulfill their portiion of the contract.

**THINK BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY**
I am posting this review because I wish someone had warned me before I had hired these guys!! I honestly wonder if any of these reviews are legitimate or are the fabrication of this company.
I hired this company 3/10/11 as I was lead to believe they would humanly trap and release the raccoon that had gotten into my attic.
I asked about the cost of their service and was told one price. However, once tech arrived the price was doubled on me but I figured I would talk with the guy who quoted me over the phone and straighten it out.
I explained to tech that we wanted the raccoon removed, the hole sealed up and the raccoon released unharmed. The guy assured me he was an animal lover. He set the traps and asked me to just check the traps in the morning and if the racoon was caught to call him and he would be out.
The next night we had caught a racoon but when we called the guy said he would have to be out in the morning to pick it up since it was 9pm. But the guy didn't show up until 2:30 pm after calling him several times and him telling me he would be there in 30-mins. I was pretty upset since the raccoon had been trashing up on my roof for 18 hours at that point which clearly violated their neglect portion of their contract!! He told me over the phone to go ahead and take the caged raccon myself but there were no handles on the cage to stop me from getting bit by the aggravated raccoon so I had to wait.
After finally got there and pulled the raccoon down, I asked if they have a set place they release it or did he want me to explain how to get to our local canyon that was about 10 blocks over. He told me that he had to take the pregnant racoon down to the shelter to have it put down because LA county code required them to. Which I verified with LA County animal control that this is not true. That they are required to release them within 1 mile of the property or destroy them, that they have a choice. On top of it all they then charged my credit card triple the quoted price since they removed the animal!!
I called to discuss the issue with the manager Vick at the company and he just told me he would get back to me. After hanging up I received a call from the tech who was very upset with me for the complaint and told me how he wasn't going to get paid for the job because of me!
Obviously I will never use this company again as they are clearly not a legitimate company. They are misrepresenting themselves as a catch and release company and coning customers into hirer service fees.Comment from trevor s. of All City Animal Trapping 2/29/2012

I called at short notice because of a sickening dead animal smell permeating my kitchen. It was late in the day. The technician wasnt sure if he would be able to squeeze in a visit to our house on same day or not but promised to keep me posted. Which he did and he was able to come by tht same day.
He went under the house and fished out a possom carcass. He also dumped a big bottle of ammonia in the area.
The operation was rapid, smooth and extremely professional. I hope I never have to call them again, but at least I have a trusted resource if I ever need something removed from under the house. -

I just had Steve the Tech leave my house. It's midnight on a balmy spring Saturday night, and he showed up with his friendly assistant (girlfriend?) and within 2 minutes removed the possum that had somehow made its way under my bed. It was quick and painless and my dog barely had time to say goodbye to her new friend. Steve also explained and reassured me that since possums have a low body temp they don't carry diseases like distemper. When I first called this company in a semi-panic, I had no idea how long I'd be waiting or what to expect once the tech was here. The dispatcher on the phone heard the frantic barking of my dog in the background and had someone get in touch with me right away. That was Steve...he came within the half hour he told me and whish! boom! bang! the possum was gone.
Of course I was embarassed by my messy bedroom and the dog toys all over the house, but I have no complaints about the service. Thanks Steve! -

World's dirtiest job.
I came home from work to find about 30 flies buzzing around my kitchen and the most horrible smell I've ever smelled. It could only be one thing - a dead animal. After emptying all my cupboards and finding no dead body it was clear to me that whatever creature was dead under the floor somewhere. A day later my landlord still hadn't returned my calls or emails so I gave these guys a call. "Can you come today?" I asked. "Sure," they said. "Can you come around 3:30 when I get home from work?" They said "Yup. We can do that". They warned me on the phone that removal costs, depending on the size of the animal, where it was, and the amount of sanitation required would run me anywhere from $160-500. I have no idea if these rates are on the high or low end of things as this was my first dead animal encounter, but I do know that it would cost alot more than $500 if someone was to ask me to deal with a dead animal.
I got a call from Jordan, my animal removal tech, around 3:10 saying he was already on his way. I pulled into my driveway at 3:31 and he and his partner had already gone into my building's crawl space and figured out exactly what it was (dead rat) and where (underneath my kitchen cabinet). Within 5 minutes he had cut into the bottom board of the cabinet to find said rat. (Who I named "Mikey'). I'll spare yelpers the gory photos but just as Jordan had suspected Mikey had gotten underneath the boards through holes in the building's subflooring and built an entire nest for himself, and I assume his family. GROSSMEOUT. Jordan explained that getting rid of the nest (complete with droppings!) was an additional charge but it was probably the grossest thing I've ever seen anywhere so I didn't think twice before say YES! He put on his mask and got to work. Within the hour, he and his partner had removed the body (and the maggots that were feasting on it), exterminated the nest, sanitized and deodorized the entire area, and covered the holes with mesh wiring so I (hopefully )won't have this problem again. Total bill came to $400. A small price to pay, in my opinion.
Not that I'm hoping for future pest trouble, but I'd call these guys back in a heartbeat! They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, fast, and pretty cool guys. My knights in shining dust masks! -

Simply called to ask for a quote. First time didn't pick up. Second time, spoke to a guy named Vick who seemed very irritated. I asked for a simple quote for removing a possum, which he rudely gave me then said "Next time, leave a message instead of calling 4 times." then hung up. Based off of this first impression, I shall take my business elsewhere.

We had Jordan from All City Animal Trapping out this afternoon to remove what turned out to be a dead possum. Initially we had no idea what the problem was and after a week of horrible smells and 2 different plumbers, the second plumber recommended we check for dead animals.
We called All City Animal Trappings around 11am after the second plumber left. They took our information, gave us a price range (between $150 and $350) and said said a local technician would call us back soon. The technician (Jordan) called us in 15 minutes. He gave us a time range of 90 minutes that afternoon and even called a second time when he was about 10 minutes away.
He confirmed the animal problem the second he walked into the house and even predicted (correctly) it would be a large animal, based on the intensity of the smell, probably a possum or raccoon. He got under the house, narrowed in on the location in about 20 minutes and removed the entire nest and carcass in another 20. He cut some very small holes into the drywall under the bathtub until he found the nest and then a slightly larger hole (about 4 inches across) to pull everything out. He was very nice, easy to talk to and very sympathetic. He washed the area with bleach and gave us other suggestions on cleaning and airing out the house. WE LOVE JORDAN! We can recommend him and All City Animal Trapping without pause!
I only wish they had shown up in my initial search for "Pest Control near Burbank". We had to find them through google instead. -

One day you might, like me, walk into your guest room at midnight on a random Thursday and see a possum in there. Yeah, a live possum. In my house. At midnight. Not cool.
You may wonder who you should call (because you SHOULD NOT try to trap it yourself). The answer; these guys. They rock. They had somebody out within an hour, he caught the animal humanely and removed it from the house and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful about it.
Now, the service isn't cheap. It's $275 for a late night call or $75 for regular hours but it's well worth it if you have an animal in your house and you are, like me, neither equipped nor trained to deal with it properly. -

Oh....my....GOD! What the F died under my house?????
I have never smelled anything this horrific in my entire life, and I never want to smell that again. HELLATIOUS STINK. HHhuuurrRrrrrllll....
I cannot thank the boys from All City Animal Trapping enough for coming out about an hour after I called and being vigilant about locating the humungous dead possum under the house, wrapping it and the dirt it was resting in, pouring lotsa bleach on the spot, and taking the dearly departed far, far away.
DAMN! So glad to have that ordeal over. Even these hardened professionals from ACAT were about to lose a few cookies even though they do this all the time.
If your home starts smelling like DEATH, do not hesitate to call them up. Even though it wasn't cheap, I'd have paid anything to have that smell removed so it was worth every one of my $300. bucks.
Possum? RIP...somewhere else! THANK YOU, ACAT! -

Well here's a first for me -- Robert our pest trapper holding an astonished mother possum by the tail with NINE tiny babies clinging to her. So that's what has been going on under the house!
We'd had possum problems for years -- and relied on a combination of dogs and denial to think we had it under control. But we didn't and a third consecutive summer of shoveling up dead possums that my dog had killed was finally getting to me.
I called this place today -- thought I had an appointment for 5 PM but then got a call at work from Robert at 1:30 or so saying he was at the house. So he waited for me -- when I got there he checked all over the exterior of the house for possible escape routes and then went underneath the house. Within about 10 minutes he emerged with his quarry. Stunning. No need to set a trap, he sealed up the entry portal to the house, charged me $250 on the spot (and offered to return if there was anything else under the house, but he didn't think so), drove away and all was copacetic.
Except he trapped my dog under the house. About an hour and a couple emergency calls later he returned and released my dog. That's why I deducted one star. Otherwise they were stellar. -

These guys know what they're doing, and honestly... I think they kinda like catching rodents. They took care of a skunk problem in my basement like they were delivering flowers. Real nice, real professional, very reasonable. I'd recommend this company to anyone.

Amazing! I had a funky dead animal smell in my kitchen. I called these guys who were, by far, the cheapest- dead animal removal isn't the cheapest thing. Devin was at my house within hours of my call and did an amazing job finding the rat, removing, destenching and putting things back together! I would have proposed on the spot had he not had a ring on:). Great job.
