Review from Ann-Marie H.

Picked up my car from them today, they did a great job fixing it. Even took out a small parking lot ding not related to the accident!!
Bonus points, they returned it to me sans beach sand and dog hair, with a clean windshield. Nice!
My only complaint, it was supposed to be ready yesterday and I had to call them to find out it would be an extra day. I feel they should have called me and notified me, rather than me waiting around all day before finally calling to see what was going on.
They did call me as soon as it was ready for pick up, so maybe it all balances out. Especially in light of the dog hair and ding removal.
So, in summary, they rock!! -

I have used the services of ALL Car Painting in San Mateo many times over the years. Actually, my wife is not such a good driver. The outline suggested by DC S is not reasonable. There are two sides to every story. It's lucky for the body shop that he did not accept the job from DC S. The complainer would not have been happy. In fact, (after looking at his other posts) he complained about another body shop the SAME day. This person would not ever be happy. It appears something else is going on. I suggest you ban DCS from yelp. This person is not average or sensible.
My experiences at ALL CAR have always been positive and All Car has always stood by their work. I agree with the other reviews. ALL CAR in San Mateo is a stand up business.

I came to All Car to get my bumper repaired after it was hit in a parking lot. It only took a couple of days to fix it (they even called me earlier than expected).
I was very impressed with the customer service and I couldn't be happier with how my bumper turned out! To top it off, they cleaned my car (which it really needed!), including the tires.
They are conveniently located down the street from an Enterprise Rental Car so it was super easy to walk there to get my rental car. If I ever need car repairs in the future, I will definitely take my car here! -

All Car did a fantastic job on my Prius for a front bumper repair. They interfaced with the at-fault party's insurance without my having to do anything. The repair job looks just like new with color matching that was uniform throughout to the eye. Customer service was also first-rate and they were always responsive to phone calls. I would definitely use them again ... but hoping I won't have to. :)
Thanks! -

I had some damage to my door and a few other spots on my Nissan 350Z.
I was worried about seeing remnants of the repair job after it was done, but it was flawless, perfect curves like new...
They are definitely a bit pricey, but were very straightforward/helpful and worked with my insurance company, so if you want a job well done, I would recommend these guys! They also cleaned my interior really nicely before returning the car, I know that's not a decision point, but it was a nice little extra gesture... -

All Car strung me along for a MONTH! Needed some body work done to my 1970 Cutlass. All Car informed me that they worked on classic cars and had tons of experience doing so. So, Rod (owner) instructed me to have my car towed there and expect an estimate within two days. I received my estimate 2 weeks later! OK, a bit slow on the estimate...no big deal. To make a long unhappy month long story short...after a month of waiting, Rod informed me that they did not "want" to work on my car. Rod said that they usually preferred the 2-3 turnaround quick jobs like Honda's and Toyota's and did not want to bother with doing the work on an older car. When I asked why I wasn't informed of this during our initial conversation, when I was instructed to have my car towed there, Rod simply said, "I'm sorry I don't want to do the job." This could have easily been communicated to me during our first conversation or the day I had my car towed there. He even did a walk through of my car, with me present, explaining everything that had to be done. Additionally, the estimate provided was outrageously overpriced. To add insult to injury, when I went to pick up my car it was completely filthy! Covered in dust and debry from all of their other jobs. No customer deserves to be strung along for a MONTH! I couldn't even have my car completed in time for the summertime. Complete waste of time and poor business....

This business is AAA approved/recommended. They were thorough and they had good quality work, but a bit pricey. They are also busy. You have to make an appointment for an estimate. We went with them because they were conveniently located. One downside is they are not open on the weekends.

Fantastic work on a paint job for the entire side of my car. Not much on chatty side, My Insurance took care of working with them, giving the information and such which was awesome. I just went in, gave them the car, (after my first meeting/estimate) they said 5 days, I said okay. Came back in 5 days, paid my deductible, and went on my way. My girlfriend took her car here as well and we both were quite happy with the work on both our vehicles.
Not only did they perform the service with immaculate detail (it is a 10 year old car and the driver side now looks completely brand new. I secretly hope someone messes up the other side of my car so I can bring it back to have a complete job done on it), but they completely cleaned the inside of my car as well (vacuumed, washed the carpet, cleaned the dash, cup holders, seats.). I was blown away with them going above and beyond what I had expected.
I don't know about how the prices compared to other paint shops, as I didn't really search around for estimates (as my insurance seemed to cover almost everything), but if you have a low deductible I have yet to be as pleased as much as I was with All Car. -

I brought my car in for fender repair, they were able to fix it beautifully for a very reasonable price and in a very timely manner. I'm impressed with their honesty, intergrity and craftsmanship, and they are certified Green business to boot!!!

Wonderful customer service. They called their neighboring businesses to get quotes for my oil change and steering fluid flush. Then, while my car was being worked on the oil and steering fluid could be taken care of all at once! Genius! They take the time they need to get the job right. I was sent here by my insurance and have been nothing but happy with their work. They are genuine and I highly recommend them. They work with all the major insurance companies. Thank you so much All Car Auto Painting!

Great Job! I was hit by another driver, his insurance adjuster came to my office and I took my car to All Car. Rod and Larry did the rest. They even have an arangement with Hertz to leave the rental car at the shop. Upon pick up my car was detailed to perfection. 5 star service.

Had to bring in my commuter car after an accident. On the positive side, I thought they did a very good job with the repair, and once they started, they were done in a couple days. They worked with my insurance company, and it was pretty painless from that aspect. The big negative to me, was that it took forever to get the repair work started. I think it was at least 3 weeks between the time I first got the work approved, to when the work actually got started. I guess I was lucky the car was still driveable during that waiting period. Granted, there were issues with getting parts, and apparently there were issues with them getting the right insurance approvals, but it felt like I had to keep after them to figure out why things weren't moving. I thought their customer service/communications was lacking. All in all, however, I'd rather have a mechanic who knew what they were doing and did a good job (as these guys did) with some communications/timing issues (of course I say this in hindsight now that the work is all done, and probably not what I would have said a couple weeks ago when I was frustrated and wanted to get my car back and take it to another shop - thankfully I didn't).
