Review from Bobbie P.

We're starting our third year and we love it as much as the first time! My daughter absolutely loves Jay and his music. His energy is positively contagious.

Review from Stephen H.

A Saturday tradition for our daughter. She wakes up singing Jay's songs, and goes to sleep singing his songs. His music is infectious, and inroduces her to sounds and beats from all over the world. Worth every penny and more!
Specialties
All Around This World is a unique, interactive music program for little kids (infants to 8 years old) and their parents/caregivers that introduces them to the world through exploration of global music, movement and culture.
History
Established in 2009
All Around This World's interactive world music program for little kids and their families is the brainchild of Jay Sand, dad to three very musical little girls. A guitar player and curious world traveler (more so before the arrival of the kids) Jay has long shared curiosity about world music and cultures with his children. In 2009 he founded All Around This World and has since been overjoyed to be able to continue "traveling" around the globe, "visiting" countries, experiencing music and culture and traditions from so many places, learning so much in so many ways. He's especially excited that so many families have enthusiastically come along for the ride. In 2010 All Around This World expanded and began to offer classes in neighborhoods other than West Philly. Visit AllAroundThisWorld.com for information about classes in neighborhoods like Fairmount, Fishtown, South Philly and beyond.
Meet the Business Owner: Jay S.
Jay Sand has always had the travel bug, and when he travels he always takes his guitar. Jay toured the country playing his own songs in coffeehouses, bars and two-bit juke joints. He and his guitar have also spent months on end backpacking around Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as taking a jaunt or two to the Middle East and South America.
From 1999 to 2003 Jay spent many months in Africa learning about and playing music with African-Jewish communities. (All Around This World's "Hello Song" comes from his friends in the the Abayudaya Jewish community of Uganda.)
Jay started attending Sally's Music Circle classes when Molly was several months old and they both loved them; Jay became a Sally's Music Circle teacher in 2006.
Jay is overjoyed to have developed All Around This World's curriculum, which gives him a way to vicariously travel around the world through international music and movement, and be able to share that joy with families in his neighborhood and beyond.
