John Homan responded that our case was resolved in small claims court in their favor. What he omitted, is that we are going back to court, unless his attorney neglected to tell him, for a reconsideration.
Anyone who wishes to see the job All American fence performed, please e-mail me and we can arrange a visit.
Further, if you have any doubts about my comments on Yelp, please visit Angie's List. I did so after the fact and I am kicking myself for it.

THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I never did a review on yelp, but signed up just to warn all of you not to use them. I had Bob come out a month ago to give me a quote for a fence and look at the job. I stressed the urgency of timing. All that needed to be done is replace an existing old 60 ft fence with a new one; nothing complicated. He wrote up a contract and said it would be installed 5 days after I received my permit. I got a permit within 2 days and left the contract and a check in my mail for him to pick up. It sat in my mail for 2 weeks. I kept calling Maryjo and Bob and would only get their answering service. finally 3 weeks later they scheduled my install for a saturday. They called me Thursday night to switch it to friday. They had a cancellation. (Probably another dissatisfied customer). I stayed home to meet the installer. He said they aren't capable of install and my fence would not be level if they put it in. I said I need it level. He said he will call Bob. I called for Bob and MaryJo all day to find out what was going on. Nobody called back. I left work early at 230 and saw a bunch of lumber, but nobody at my house. I called Maryjo numerous times and no call. Finally her husband and owner, John called me back. He said she is afraid to call me, because the conversation will take too long. RIDICULOUS. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! He said they will install tomorrow and that Bob and the installer were at fault. I went out that night and get a msg a 730pm that they aren't capable of doing the job. They are so INCOMPETENT. DO NOT HIRE YOU WILL REGRET!!! I'm going with Fenceworks (guy on 41). They said it is a simple job and won't be any problem having the top level.

I hired Jon Homan and his company on the behalf of my building's condo association to build a fence around our parking spaces in the alley behind the building. Their fence was so poorly designed that one of the cars could not back out of the parking space clearing the gate unless the other two cars were gone. Definitely NOT well designed. I immediately called Jon Homan to let him know this was not what we had agreed upon -- during the initial consultation I clearly told him we needed all three cars to be able to enter and exit their spaces easily.
He promised to come the next day, then never showed up. He promised to come the following day, but once again never showed up. During this time, I was unable to access my parking space and had to park several blocks away, a major inconvenience. Finally when Jon showed up to redesign the fence, he admitted to me he had blown me off so he could go to a baseball game.
Despite the inconvenience, I would have understood and it would have been fine, had he taken responsibility for his poor fence design and covered the extra expense to make the fence right. This was not the case. After blowing me off twice he finally got the fence right, but sent a bill for the second fence design as well as the first. Because he was completely incompetent, we paid for two fences.
Not only is this poor fence design (and this is ALL they do for a living) but atrocious customer service.
Avoid this company at all costs, unless you don't mind paying for their mistakes.
