We have used this service three times. We had the same sitter (Jackie) twice and a sitter named Ashley last week. They always come prepared with books, etc., and my kids have taken to them immediately. I always get a call from the sitter the day before as well, which is nice so you can let them know ahead of time what your plans are for that day.
I highly recommend this service! -

NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!!
Before booking a babysitter from this company, I contacted the owner, Kirsten Harris. She was very quick to respond first when I told her I was going to book the service, but as soon as I requested the information about her babysitters to verify with Trustline, she completely stopped responding to me. She claimed that she has sitters who are Trustline registered, but refused to provide information to validate. She would not provide references either. You, as parents, NEVER want to use a company like this who refused to give sitters info nor references. I am not surprised at all with poor reviews about this company from other people. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They should go out of business!!!!! -

There were so many things wrong with our nanny and the service - here goes:
1. They were supposed to send confirming email. Never did.
2. They were supposed to call the day before telling us who was coming. Never did.
3. Nanny was not engaging at all and had no energy. She was not open and happy with the kids.
4. She had no control. Couldn't get them all together to play.
5. We got the kids dressed to play outside and she never took them outside and never changed them out of their ski cloths. ALL DAY!
6. She watched her own movie about vampires and ignored the kids.
7. She didn't get the little ones drinks when they asked repeatedly.
8. She wasn't capable of putting a two year old down for her nap. It was the only thing we asked her to do.
9. Said two year old was discovered by a neighboring family member upstairs by herself while babysitter was downstairs watching tv.
10. She didn't clean up and dirty dishes were left on the counter.
11. Every child independently said they didn't like her and they did nothing all day.
12. She had the nerve to ask for a tip and we gave it to her ( not knowing the full story until later).
13. We called the nanny service three times over a one and a half day period and they still have not returned the calls. Interesting since they called back within the hour to book the appointment.

I suppose it's ironic that I wanted to find a babysitter for Mother's Day weekend so I could spend a few hours NOT being a mom. Thank goodness for Kirsten and All About Kids! Kirsten called me within an hour of my sending an email inquiry and set me up with Melissa, who came to our hotel in South Lake Tahoe. Melissa was warm and enthusiastic and came prepared with crayons and construction paper to entertain my 22-month-old son. My son had a wonderful time playing with Melissa and was sleeping like an angel when my husband and I returned from dinner. I know my son had a good time because he was delighted to see Melissa the next day when we asked her back for an encore performance. It was also a great convenience to have the whole service charged to my credit card.
I would use this service again in a heartbeat. I see that All About Kids now has a service in Napa/Sonoma, so I think a wine country trip is in order! -

I booked a sitting with them last Saturday in Northstar. Had an email confirmation from them. I emailed them the day before to confirm - didn't hear back but wasn't too worried at that time.
On the morning of, the sitter never showed, no calls from Kirsten the owner. I called and left many messages that day, and emails, no response. Still no reply even today (Monday)
This is beyond rude and unprofessional! Needless to say I wasted a lot of money as I had planned to ski and booked an expensive lodging so that I can ski in/out to check on baby. If I had known I would not be skiing, then all that would not be necessary.
Given this totally irresponsible response, I shudder to think of their behavior when they are actually babysitting!

All About Kids Tahoe is far and away the best vacation babysitting services we have ever used (in Tahoe or otherwise) and we have used a few. The quality of the sitters Kirsten sends over are just terrific and my 2.5 year old girl and 4.5 year old boy loved both equally. The system is quick and easy (website/email/credit card payment) and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We'll use All About Kids only in Tahoe and not bother with any others!

I am only putting one star because I have to but we were stood up by this service so that a ski day with my husband and myself was erased by lack of childcare for our two kids, despite calling and reserving 5 days earlier and being assured they would have someone for us. Typical that now mom's one day of skiing on vacation was ruined by an unreliable sitter service. Would not recommend.
