Situated in an industrial park, the setting isn't especially romantic or pleasant. This is a great place to eat if you work nearby. The interior is reminiscent of a cafeteria... with a fireplace.

With the being said, the food was enjoyable and affordable. In our party of 5, everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. I had a reuben that was served on marbled rye bread. Super tasty, exactly what I wanted!

The food is OK. They have a blue plate special everyday that is decent. However, this place.is overpriced. A lunch with drink is $10. If you have no choice to eat here try the blackened salmon ceasar salad.

You would think for a $9 sandwich or a $12 pasta, it would taste close to amazing. Ha! It's decent, but I made better pasta in my 4th grade cooking class.

The portions here are so small and they charge you for every little thing. If you order a salad, they give you a little cup of dressing the size of a quarter. Want another one? Add $1 onto your $9 salad. Want cheese on your turkey sandwich? Ohhh there's another $2.

The employees are usually really friendly and they're quick with getting your food out, but the prices and portion size make it hard to come back.

Sort of hidden in an office park.

Plenty of seating, but all in all it feels like a cafeteria, probably because it is.

Sandwiches are "just ok", baked goods are pretty good, but not great enough to make up for the ordinary sandwiches.

I probably wouldn't go again unless I didn't really have any other options.

Hidden Gem within the Kent Industrial/Office park area between 167/I-5

This cafe/bakery is located within the CenterPointe office complex just off of 72nd Ave/West Valley Highway.
If you are cutting across 212th St, you'll run right by it.

They have a daily $6 Blue Plate Special with drink and tax that rotates Mon-Fri...Spaghetti, Pork Loin, Parmesan Chicken, etc.

Otherwise, the menu consists of sandwiches, pastas, soups and salads, between $5.95-$6.95...everyone of them Yummy!

The deserts are pricey at around $3.50 for a cake, although pastries are reasonable around $1.75.

Hours are limited--coffee and pastries from around 8am, lunch 11:00 am to close at 3:30pm.  Mon-Fri only.

Great spot for anyone working in North Kent, otherwise doubt its a convenient spot for anyone else...

A little Alki outpost, right in Kent!

The thing I like best about Alki Bakery is the consistancy.  Working in the south end, I have many *fabulous* dining choices for my lunch hour...(Applebees?  Yikes!)...but it's great to have a place I can bring my book, know there will be a place to sit and read for an hour, and enjoy a consistanly soggy yet yummy caesar salad with chicken.  The caesar with salmon filet is good too.  And you get a roll in the shape of a tiny baguette!

Plus...if you're feeling especially decacdent...you can get one of their oversized cookies, tiny tarts, or moist muffins.

Yeah, it's a little overpriced, and it's in an office park in Kent.  But I work in Kent, people.

I'm giving this a pretty low rating because I'm really not impressed with their price hikes in the last 6 months.  They have lowered the portions and quality of the their food and raised their prices.  Pretty shady to do during these times. I used to eat there once a week and have cut back to only eating there when I forget my lunch at home.

Besides all that....pretty good food and many options to choose from.

I work upstairs in the tower next to the Alki Bakery, so I might be a little jaded. The food is good and the service is pretty quick. It is a bit over priced, and their menu is not giant, so it is easy to get bored with the menu if you go there a lot. The solution, of course, is to go other places. Good for a business lunch, and quick for anyone who works in one of the towers. I don't think that I would drive there from somewhere else on purpose for lunch, however.

Having worked about 30 feet from their front door, I ate at Alki at least once a week.  The food was better then I expected: bistro-type options like cold sandwhiches, soups, fruit cups, pastas and desserts. They manage the lunch rush well, and there is always enough seating (indoor and out). Definately full of the working class crowd, I don't imagine I would ever go there if I wasn't working.  They also have an espresso stand, but aren't open very early so you might have to wait until your first break to run over for your cup of joe.

I went here with a friend for lunch today. I've lived close by for 5 months & I didn't even know the place was this close. In an Industrial area, It was hard to find, even for a rather big place. The sandwiches looked great but I tried the Italian chopped salad. Very, Very Tasty!  They aren't opened past 4 PM so we can't try them for dinner. I'll be back!

What a fantastic place to eat. The best sandwiches and scrumptious deserts. Located in the Kent Valley's industrial area and tucked away between larger buildings. I find it the perfect place for businesses lunches. The warm fireplace is an additional extra touch that makes for a great experience.

Great fish tacos ! They have a good selection of soups and sandwiches. I had no idea they were located in the industrial complex but I am glad someone I work w/ took us there for lunch a few weeks ago.....
