I love Alive and well they have the best deli with a lot of prepared hot entrees and desserts.
They always have at least 2 different soups and a huge selection of veggie salads, and fish and chicken salad.
My favorite thing to get is the 3 choice salad plate. I get the beet and greens, green power and ahi tuna salads with extra onions. It's so good!
The Green Power salad is my favorite of the trio, I love it so much that the last time I was on Maui for 3 days and went back for it, everyday. When I got home from that trip, I called and asked the sweet Filipino lady who works there i the deli for the recipe of the salad dressing, she was nice enough to share it with me and now I make it at home every once in a while. ( Don't worry aunty I wont tell! )
I also get my favorite Earl Greyer and Honey Dew Melon White Tea from Republic of Tea over there. It's hard to find on O'ahu and lasts me a long time so I just make sure to pick some up while I'm there.
My new favorite thing to get over there is the Lindt Chocolate Mint truffles, there right by the the check out stand. That sweet, decadent, creamy, chocolate center is the perfect treat at the end of meal or a long day and night on Maui.
In any case, Alive and well will have something for everyone check them out if you're in Kahului, they are close to the airport and the perfect place to get supplies for your trip to maui especially if you like health food stores. -

They have very interesting and good stuff int here. A Little pricey, and don't always have the same selections, so some days I'll go in looking for a specific food and it's not there, but over all, very healthy, and always satisfied!
I am a health food lover. They get 5 stars on the food quality. 4 only because they don't consistently have the same stuff daily. -

Tons of health-nut stuff if you forgot to pack something from the Mainland. Super close to OGG. Stopped by for some yummy ginger chews.

If you are on Maui and looking for vitamins and supplements, this is your place! They seriously have more of a selection than any place I've ever seen, even on the mainland! The staff all are very knowledgeable, and the owners (Dennis and Mona) are frequently in the store and can answer your questions as well. If you have specific questions, call and make an appointment with Dennis, he will sit and talk with you (for free) and then suggest things for you to start taking. He's a very smart guy who has a radio program here on the island, and really knows his stuff.
Alive & Well also has a small selection of produce as well as frozen and packaged health foods. I usually do not come here for groceries, but they certainly have most things you would look for. Things are expensive, but it is a health food store after all.
Another reason to come here is their deli section. They have lots of salads and things, as well as hot foods, but I think this is only open around lunch time. Last time I was there they had a sign saying they have sushi too, but I have not checked that out. Yummy stuff here! -
