History

Established in 2008

I have a long history of teaching swim lessons (beginning when I was 16 years old as a lifeguard at my local swim club). After living on my own for a few years after college, I wanted to find a way to generate extra income. Due to my love of swimming, I decided to teach swim lessons. Teaching (I also teach/coach two girls MSI Classic soccer teams) and swimming are passions of mine and I take my job very seriously. Since I believe swimming is an essential skill that everyone should learn, I wanted to teach only PRIVATE (but make exceptions for semi-private)lessons. By teaching lessons privately, clients receive the one-on-one attention they need to help acheive the goals we set together at our first lesson.

I have years of experience teaching children and adults who are afraid of the water how to swim and feel comfortable, and of teaching children and adults who know how to swim, how to swim more efficiently and improve their technique. I swam competitively for summer and winter swim leagues from ages 4-18, and also swam for my High School. I lifeguarded for 7 years and taught swim lessons to ages 3-12 during that time. I assisted the swim coach at the pool where I lifeguarded with stroke clinics for younger swimmers. Over the past four years, I taught over 120 people ages 2 to 63 how to swim or improve their technique. I have a passion for swimming and think it is an important life skill. It is rewarding to be able to teach people at all levels how to swim or how to better their swimming techniques.
