Plain and simple, this is one of my favorite courses in the OC now, especially when you factor in price, course, and challenge it offers. I used to live right down the road, and I never got around to playing it, but I believe a lot had to do with all the construction going on and making new holes. Now is a different story.... I will play this course any day now, if I had the chance to, the course is in great shape, and the greens are tough as nails. They roll pretty true and fast, once you understand which side of the hill you are on etc. I must admit playing it for the first time, it was difficult to see the course and where to play, because you really need to position yourself on some holes to attack them. Took me about 12 holes to feel comfortable and get a feel for the greens especially on approach shots. Luckily I played with 2 members that new it like the back of there ass. Great guys by the way.... which leads me to the place plans to be private once they fill there memberships, but that does not look like that will happen until maybe a year or two, especially during these times. Everyone there seemed to be very kind a respectful and not have that Country Club feel, which was nice. As long as the memberships are not filled yet, and I have the chance to play it for $54-$60, I'm going to play it till they tell me it's time to be a member cheap ass. Beats going out to riverside or anything else in the OC, or at least getting a great view of South OC.

This course is semi private - Monday through Thursday it's open to the public but weekends are for members only. The course is a Jack Nicklaus design and is a par 72, ten years old and the clubhouse is less then 3 years old and is beautiful.
I was fortunate to play this course at a discounted rate compared to the normal rate of $85.00 including cart. The course is short at just under 6600 yards but plays longer due to several uphill greens. The fairways are wide but there's plenty lot of thick rough to get lost in if you veer off the fairways..
The Staff here is friendly and prompt. A couple of cons I picked on is that the driving range consist of mats and your hitting into nets due to the lack of land I guess : ( In addition, the course itself seemed like it could be maintained to a higher standard for being a semi private facility. The last item is the lack of a beverage or food cart on the fairways during the entire 18 holes I played.
I had a fun time here and the views of the city are impressive from some of the tee boxes.Listed in: Best golf courses

Gorgeous grounds, great service, and a place where people know your name. I am a mere social member so I can't comment on the golf course except it looks pretty. I have been to events here and they are fun and the food is usally delish. The managment is helpful and hospitable. Can't say enough good things. Grab a membership and a cocktail!

Played here a couple years ago when the course was still public. Paid just around $27 for twilight rate but managed to get in only 7 holes since the golf cart died mid-way and had to wait for a replacement.
The course looked nice and had a good scenic view of OC around. Would like to play there again, this time the entire course. -

one of the best deals going (right now) because the imemdiate area is under construction and they are building townhomes along the course. So starting July '08 they are expected to go private. In the interim the club is offering Player Development Program (PDP) rates where you pay $20 directly debited from your c/c each month and whenever you play M-R it is only $20.00 to play after 2:30ish pm! Great value. If you play after work or late afternoon during the week, sign up to the club. The program doesn't have much value on the weekends as it only saves you $10 (39.00) instead of (49.00) but still if you play 2-3x a week this card will save you a lot of money. A pretty nice course, greens are weird, I say weird because I cannot figure them out. It seems like the speeds and breaks change everytime I'm there. Good luck figuring it out! Course does not play long, I play from the blacks and I can drive 4 different par 4's. It sure is fun to tee it up and lay it on the green when other's don't know you just need to crush it 280 to reach it! Have a fun time.
