In the El Paso area, Alice the Burrito lady is the authority on good burritos. I first started frequenting Alice when I was in high school back in 2001. I went to Franklin and a friend would take a group of us there for lunch. Every single time the burrito was delicious, and 1 burrito is enormous so that you fill yourself up and likely have half a burrito left for later. They are probably about a foot and a half long and stuffed to the gills with meat. I would guess they weigh at least a pound each.
I have had the Carne Asada (my favorite), Carnitas, Mole, Chicken De., and Picadillo, and can testify that every single one of them is delicious. My friends that have had the others all claim they are equally as good. However, the best part of the burrito is the tortilla. These are made from scratch daily right in front of your eyes and they are easily the best tortillas I have ever tasted.
When I moved away from El Paso every trip home I would have to stop at Alice the day I arrived and the day I left. Now that I am back living in El Paso, I make it over there at least once a month, and whenever my friends come back to town its one of the first places we visit.
Alice the Burrito Lady makes a delicious, enormous, and fresh Burrito for under $5. If you are ever at the outlet mall nearby save yourself the money from the expensive frozen foodcourt food, and head on over to Alice. You won't regret it.
