From the very first moment I began searching for my wedding dress, I admired the work of Alice Padrul. Her gowns seemed more unique and whimsical than the others. Didn't seem like something you'd see everyday. I didn't go there first and I wish I had, because I wasted A LOT of time at various bridal shops in Chicago. Others had tiny selections, some were too pretentious, while others were actually pretty dank inside.
Either way, no dress or place felt right until I went to Alice's. I had three in mind, but ended up with something completely different. Everyone's image and feeling wearing a dress is unique and choosing a long, white or cream gown isn't something we're used to doing. It's weird actually. All I know is design and craftsmanship are beyond evident in her work. Her designs are a cut above the typical you see in all the mags. Plus, she and her husband are the sweetest people on Earth. They are so personable and give you such individual attention. I don't need that much, but it was nice (especially for a purchase such as a wedding gown). Plus, there's something about a Russian accent telling you look beautiful, to make you believe you truly appear that way. Alice is amazing!!! Visit her gorgeous space and see her designs first. I guarantee you'll find "the one". -

The dresses in this store are gorgeous. The craftmanship is outstanding. The styles vary from strapless ballgowns to chic sheaths. Many of the dresses have lace detail but there other dresses that are simple and elegant.

Ladies, if you're tired of hearing nightmare stories about dresses arriving a week before the wedding in the wrong size or the last fitting being a complete disaster, meet Alice. You will be able to design your dream dress, it will be made specifically for you and you will see progress monthly (if not weekly). Alice and her incredible staff will make sure you're completely satisfied. Not once did I have to worry about the final product, which turned out to be beyond amazing. All night people kept on coming up to me telling me how beautiful the dress was and how angelic and ethereal I looked. It was a perfect day accompanied by a perfect dress.

Alice personally picks out the dresses with you and helps you try them on in her store. Alice is a very sweet lady and is very passionate about what she does. With each dress you try on, she will step back, admire you, explain the changes that can be done to each dress and doesn't rush you through anything. All the dresses make you look like a princess with a lot of floral detail and organza. Although the dresses are very cute, they were not my style. However, for brides who like a lot of detailing, flowers, organza and something aside from the typical strapless gown, Alice Pardul is the place to go.

I agree with everyone on here, Alice Padrul is extraordinary! It was the first appointment I had and no one even came close to comparing. Her dresses are unique, you can tell she dedicates her whole heart into each detail from the design down to the seams. It is refreshing to see someone using entirely different fabrics and accents from the norm. And what can I say about Alice...she is so special. She really made the whole experience memorable. She takes the time to fit the dress, let you gaze at yourself, talk to your mom (or shopping companions of choice) and really get a chance to decide. She doesn't have you diving in and out of dresses, with your head spinning, where time is money...it is completely about you. She is honest and has great suggestions, after all these are her babies too, she wants them to be worn well. She will customize your gown and veil for you how you wish. I really can't say enough about her and her collection...Alice Padrul is truly special and I am fortunate that I found her.

I got married a month ago and Alice Padrul designed my wedding dress. I fell in love with her designs online, called and was blown away when she answered the phone and talked with me, and knew the minute I walked into her studio, I would wear one of her dresses, which one would be the hard choice. I picked "Gina" - it was a little bit of everything I liked in the dresses I tried on. I loved every single step of the process, beginning with the first fitting when it was just a muslin bodice. The dress was built up for me from scratch, not cut down from the closest size. She is present at every single fitting, and takes the time to get to know you. Walking into her studio made me feel relaxed. The finished product was gorgeous, we did several last minute fittings because I was losing weight (yea!), and I felt great in the dress. One of my friends said it looked like it was floating on me. I was very comfortable all day, and stayed out until 1 am in it... Getting married in my late 30's, I wanted something unique but still classic and Alice was the answer. I got so many compliments on my dress and our pictures are gorgeous. Alice made my time as a bride exceedingly special - I highly recommend her!
