Our go to "Paia" tshirt spot! They're so soft... and love their simple designs. Make sure you get one size up if you do get some since they tend to shrink.
Friendly folks! Though the shirts are not cheap... They're soft but definitely not soft in the wallet!
We'll definitely be back!
PS: they don't accept Discover CC... -

Where all the Hawaiian sister hipsters shop!
Alice in Hulaland has the best selection of their icon t-shirts in vibrant colors, textures, even customizable shredded ones. Kitschy is done right, lady Hawaiian style in its racks of trendy tops as well as some its second hand pieces and reduced price tees are worthy to snap up.
There are lots of other random hulagirl nick knacks and accessories to add the funk.
I absolutely will continue to gush about this little hipster Hawaiian shop even long after having been it.
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE! -

Lots of character packed in this tiny store. Ukeleles, funky purses and tops, Paia tees and an assortment of island vibe goods are the order of the day here but I am way too old to be able to pull off any of this stuff. So I walked out of there with a ukelele that's not really representative of anything in this store but I felt that I needed to at least get something to support a shop that might have been my style a decade or so ago. BTW they had a nice selection of bongs in a glass case that would make Woody Harrelson drool.

This was a really cute shop. It was a great way to kill some time before heading to the airport to go home.
The prices seemed reasonable and it's quite a large shop - with a large sale selection in the back. Lots of t-shirts and beach hats, and come really cool purses.
I think hipsters will be in hipster heaven here. I didn't purchase anything but I enjoyed walking around. The staff was cool = and not pushy which I appreciate. -

I loved this shop :) Sadly, I cannot give this shop 5 stars. I loved the selection, it reminded me of 60s and 70s. But, their merchandise is kind of expensive. I bought a Alice and Hulaland shirt there. It was $37. Nice shop but a little pricey. This shop isn't like others so check it out!

costumer service is HORRIBLE!!!!! They are so rude and stuck up!! I will never shop at this overpriced store again. I was treated with no respect by "assistant" manager amber, who laughed in my face and didn't show any kind of care or sympathy when i told her that i accidentally bought a pair of gauged earrings there and that they stretched out my ear when i tried to wear them and wanted to exchange them for ones that didn't. She even lied and said they they don't sell gauged earrings. She was so RUDE!! I wont shop here ever again and i will tell everyone i know not to go there either.

Cute, cute cute store!
This little boutique has really cute tees at a pretty affordable price - and some other more pricey boutique-y brands.
They have their signature "alice in hulaland" tees in various colors and materials. some are see-through, others partially see-through, and some just your regular 'ol vintage tee.
I got my sis a shirt from here to bring back home as a souvy instead of those darned keychains, mugs, sarongs, etc... -

I don't want to sound droll, but there won't be much to this review.
You might be a tourist. You might not. No matter who you are - You *will* be completely sick of the overly touristy shops on parts of the island.
You may have a spare day.... you might be on your way to Hana.
Stop here!!!
Browse along Baldwin Ave and have fun! These are a bit more *real* as far as stores go, and you will find some cute stuff for either him her, or in the middle. Clothes, accessories, and everything...the other shops are fine, but I will tell ya... this one has some adorable stuff! Prices aren't too bad... it isn't so much a touristy place as much as a little surfer hamlet. Pop on by, you will dig it. -

Very cute store. Great selection of hats!
Because they carry both men and women's clothing, my bf and I were able to both look around without worrying about boring the other ;)

Chic boutique meets quaint island village. The owner must have been an L.A. transplant or something, because this place is stylin'. Clever name, too. I got myself an incredibly soft cotton tank with a screenprint of a wave and a skeleton surfer on it for like $35 or something, marked down 40% from it's original price. Yes, pricey for a tank, but I'll shell out the buckaroonies for some unique threads.
They had cute one-off a la' super lucky cat style tube dresses made of recycled old t-shirts, many of which had screen prints of Bob Marley on them. I would have gotten one if I didn't already overspend on my travel budget. I also noticed they had a bunch of stogies and rolling papers behind the cashier table. Hmmmm..wonder what that's for? Ha ha, not for me, but I thought it was pretty cool that this upscale boutique didn't have that "too cool for you" vibe, as evident by their sale of contraband.
Fellow fashionistas and Maui Wowie lovers alike can therefore shop in harmony here! -

Cute little funky boutique in Paia town! Lots of unique clothes, hats, and jewelry. Definitely worth checking out. The girls who work there are nice, and the shop has a small town vintagey yet "out there" feel to it. It's a special little shop and you'll be able to find unique gifts and tees here like nowhere else...my faves: PAIA tees, shredded tees, local jewelry in the front case, and a vintage patent black square bag from the 1940s. Tres chic!

This is the cutest little store, I went in to purchase their Alice in Hulaland t-shirt. The girls working there were so friendly and cool, they were making me laugh the whole time. The store is a bit pricey, but I was able to find good stuff on sale. If you've got the cash and like chic Hawaiian wear, this is the place to shop. It's even a cool place to browse while you're in Paia town.

Great selection of shirts and hats for men and women. Funky little shop with friendly staff. Kind of a vintage-y feel to it with a cabinet of smoke stuff also. Paia and this little shop are a must stop if visiting Maui!

This boutique has a good selection of all the hot labels from the mainland as well as local designer pieces. The buyers truly know how to incorporate high fashion into an island style vibe. Pretty much, Alice in Hulaland could be the spot to outfit your entire wardrobe with pieces from DaNang, Butterfly Dropout, Michael Stars, etc. The store has a groovy hippie feel but what else would you expect in Paia??

Like most of Paia, this shop takes me back a long way to old time hippiedom. I love the fact that kids tee-shirts have nice little hula girls-- but in the really tiny sizes (for kids who can't ask questions) they show water pipes. And they label all that stuff "tobacco products." LOL

Loved this store. I am not a petite girl and I found tons of things I liked. I ended up buying three fabulous shirts and a beautiful pair of blue sea glass earrings. The prices are all ranges, from $12 to $300 for differing pieces. I spent toward the lower end of that range and still got really nice funky stuff.

Cute little store - I loved shopping in Paia... my favorite place to stroll shops on the island! This store is great for price, uniqueness, and their shirts that say "alice in hulaland" Oh and they sell my favorite soap made in Maui - Rainbow Ridge farm. Stock up -their soaps are the best, in fact I order them online when I am back home!
