This place is really great. You get huge portions for decent prices and all the food is usually really good.... plus there is a bar inside the place if you want to stop in a pop back some cold ones.
My only complaint (and this cost Alfredo's 1 star... 4 stars instead of 5) is that on more than one occasion the crust on my pizza was burnt.... not too bad but bad enough to have a negative impact on the flavor. But that was the exception not the rule. -

I've been spending some time in this area recently for work & have had some time to check out the local restaurants. Alfredo's was suggested to me by a coworker and I came in one afternoon for an early dinner.
I ordered pizza and it was very yummy -- it even reheated well in my hotel microwave. It came out quickly and was hot & fresh. Tammy at the bar was great to talk to (especially since I was there by myself). I'd definitely recommend it to anyone passing through who wants a casual place to sit and grab a bite. -

A rented Chrysler Aspen filled with four gay men and 2 of their female enthusiasts are driving on a rural road en route to a weekend ski trip. As they near towards west central Connecticut, the gays in the car start squealing at the signs saying the town of GAYLORDSVILLE was fast approaching. Without falter the gays and their female enthusiasts decided this would be the official "stop" on their way up to Jiminy Peak in the Berkshires. It was just too fitting.
According to the Urbanspoon application on my iPhone, Alfredo's is one of two total restaurants in the town of Gaylordsville. Being that the only other restaurant, the Gaylordsville Diner, was closed, we chose to hit up Alredo's for late dinner. We walked into a mostly-empty restaurant and were greeted by a husky-voiced woman (I think) and seated right away. We ordered our (apparently) $4 liquor beverages, jalapeno poppers, garlic parmesan bread and large pizza all at once. You know the gays are all over those poppers. They came out quickly and were both extremely satisfying after almost 8 hours without a meal.
Shortly after we killed our appetizer carbfest our pizza came. Fresh out of the oven, this was one of those yummy pizzas then the melted cheese starts to fall off the slices as your remove them from the tray. Sexy. The other diners in the restaurant - a table with a man and a woman- were thoroughly amused by our table's banter and the woman chimed in where she felt appropriate. We discussed/sang Fastballs' "Out of My Head", Skiing and New York City. We found out this lady was friendly with the restaurant owners and they all crowded around the periphery of the dining room and listened. When we told the woman we were going to Jiminy Peak to ski, she let us know Butternut was her favorite. One of my fellow gays remarked that he "loved that name" to which she replied jokingly "you would!".

There was a carload of three of us taking in the amazing fall colors on our trip through Gaylordsville in October. Absolutely picturesque, but not on abundance of restaurants along the way. At the time when we found Alfredo's, we were starving. We pulled over and gave it a shot. Two of us ordered the calzones (both veggie calzones) and the other ordered a sandwich. The sandwich got good reviews. The calzones were friggen ginormous! Two could easily split one and still have leftovers. Very tasty. If ever in Gaylordsville again, I'll go back.
