This is good food. The flavor and service is consistent. My personal favorites are the carne asada barrito, super nachos and rolled taco's.
one warning sometimes the quesadilla is way to oily in the to go container when you get home with the food. -

The worst Mexican food on Coast Highway. Save your money and go elsewhere. I'm talking BROWN guacamole on your rolled tacos. The salsa sucks sooooo bad. Bland is an understatement for this place. It's like they soak cardboard in crap and then shove it into your burrito and claim its meat. To top it off good luck ordering in English, cause they sure don't speak it there.

Visited this place on my way home to LA. ordered two burritos ~ one carne asada and one carnitas. The carne asada was dry and bland. I threw the burrito away after only a few bites. Cant say too much about the carnitas ~ mom seemed to have not cared for it either. Needless to say, if a Mexican restaurant can't get their food right, maybe they shouldn't be in business...

Out fucking standing!
I cant comment on all the food but the California burritos are mouth-jizzingly delicious. These were the staple of my diet when I was in Camp Pendleton. Some say it was what sent my PFT (Physical Fitness Test, for all you nasties) into a downward spiral but I refuse to believe that. These gut busting burritos are stuffed with mystery meat, fries, cheese, and sour cream. DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT! Did I mention they were HUGE? well they are. Last time I seen something this big and cylindrical, I was at the donkey show in TJ.
Bottom line they're amazing. I now drive from the L.A area to Oceanside just for these. No one can replicate them so don't settle for less. -

I always get #2. My husband is a HUGE fan of the Nachos which are pretty dang amazing.
Cheap and Fabulous!
I eat here a couple of times a month and always do the drive thru...it's fast, convenient and open 24 hours! -

Got into the airport late and into Oceanside even later but we were STARVING. Drove around town looking for a Mexican spot that was open (hello, I'm IN SD county, I have to have me some Mexican food). The lights @ Alfredo's catch my attention... Checked Yelp (just to make sure I wouldn't get food poisoning). Thank goodness - good reviews.
Guy @ the window - super nice. Ordered for myself and the bf for a grand total of $18 - not too shabby... so here's what we got:
- California Burrito - I must say... I don't normally like them... but this was on point. Not to mention... it's HUGE! I didn't even finish half.
- Fish Burrito - Slightly smaller than the CA burrito, and a tad less delish... but good nonetheless.
- Horchata - the BF said it needed more cinnamon... I thought it was great. We got the XL and that sucker is also huge!
- Chicken & Beef enchiladas (one of each) - I'd skip these next time. Nothing special about them... better yet, they just weren't good. I got it @ the recommendation of a yelper below.... but my tastebuds just weren't impressed.
Thanks Alfredo's. You satisfied my late night craving. -

So, I decided to take back my previous review of Alfredo's. I had it again tonight after going to Main Attraction for the first time....GROSS.
I don't know what it was exactly but, I gagged through what I ate and ended up eating an oreo to take the nasty taste out of my mouth before I DID throw up.
All I can really say is there are so many better places than this and to go there instead. Even Eriberto's is better than this place-that's definitely not saying much. -

The food here is really good. For $15.01 you can get a large jamaica, #17 (carne asada burrito with beans and rice), and a single carne asada burrito.
What I liked best about the food here are the refried beans and the flour tortillas. The beans remind me of the homemade beans I used to eat growing up and the tortillas tasted like they were freshly made. So so good. Another good thing about this restaurant is that it is open 24 hours a day.
I wasn't too impressed with the rice or the salsa, my homemade rice is better. The tomatillo salsa tasted good, but a little watered down and the red salsa just did not taste good at all.
Other than that the cashier was very nice, we received our order in within 5 minutes of placing it. The interior of the restaurant was fairly clean, as well as the exterior. -

When I'm in Oceanside, I tend to find myself here almost everyday.
Post-surf sessions, after late nights of drinking, on 6 AM drives down to the airport...I always have to stop and get my breakfast burrito and horchata.
The portions are real generous, the guys working the counter are friendly, and you can pretty much customize anything on the menu. This is one of the few 24-hour drive thru Mexican places on the 101...don't take it for granted!
Embrace the dinginess!!!
and....there is a fairly sanitary restroom inside!!! Major brownie points. -

Go drive through...order Carne Asada burrito with Cheese or Carnitas Burrito with cheese and you wont be disappointed. The wife and I eat here like two-three times a month for our fix.
My new breakfast favorite: Chorizo Burrito with potatoes and sour cream, this one will make you skip lunch as it is great while filling any void for about 5-6 hours.
Their hot sauce goes good with the food and has a nice kick. They are opened 24hr and take credit card which is a plus.
You can customize any order so tell them to make it the way you want it with all the accessories.
The burritos have three sizes, order the largest at your own demise.
Very affordable prices on everything for the quantity you get. -

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
In my opinion, the food is just so-so. On the plus side, they are open 24 hours. And you do get a huge amount of food for the money.
However, if you can't make a Quesadilla at least as well as Taco Bell, then I don't know how much business you have running a Mexican Restaurant. I also have to wonder if Alfredo's is owned by a white guy, because the mexican food (at least what I have ordered) would be sort of an insult to most people who are actually from Mexico; most of the stuff on the menu is very Americanized. Some dishes are okay, but others are lacking in flavor and tenderness. Everything is covered in Cheddar cheese it seems.
As mentioned, the portions are huge for the money. However, they give you sooo much food, it's almost too much in some cases. The burrito (for example) has enough stuff in it to make 2 or 3 burritos, which sort of takes away from it. However, if you like burritos that are so huge that they can be both your lunch and dinner, then maybe Alfredo's is worth a try. -

Been there three times. Every single time they've f*cked up the order. Tonight was a last chance. The salsa is disgusting and I've never seen so many onions in a burrito in my life. More onions than meat. Fail.

My fiance and I came here for a quick bite while in Oceanside. It is definitely a divey fast food joint but the tables were clean and the bathroom was cleaner than most restaurants I've been to. I ordered a quesadilla and bean and cheese burrito and my fiance had a carne asada burrito. His burrito was HUGE! I'm talkin' at least 3 pounds of pure beef here. And while my quesadilla was a little on the greasy side, the tortilla was very thin and unlike the generic, out-of-the-fridge tortillas used in most Mexican food places. In case I hadn't painted that picture clearly enough--the portions are really, really large. I couldn't even finish my quesadilla (and that's never happened to me before).

It was late, I was out drinking a little bit, all I wanted in the whole world was carne asada nachos and Alfredo's is 2 blocks away from my apartment. I could do without the piles of cheddar but other than that, it's good, it's cheap and it's available 24 hours. I tipped the guy for being really nice, it's hard to be friendly at 3am, and he hooked us up. The box was stuffed with extra carne, sour cream and guacamole. How cool is that?

Great nachos (you can ask for chicken if you don't eat beef) and the california burrito is great!!!! The fish tacos are also top notch!

This place has saved me tons of times when I've gottan off of work past midnight. I've got to recommend the Cali burrito. And the sauce that they give with it. One down side is if you got a weak stomach, this place might make it rumble..

To tell you the truth I don't remember the food from here too well, just another 24 hour Mexican joint with a drive-thru and a few small tables. There are many, many in the area but I remember the stomach problems I had for a week after I ate here, and I have what people call a iron stomach. I will not eat here ever again.

Sometimes i swear they make their carne asada out of dog food, but I still eat it happily. A 24 hour joint you can drive through or walk up to a window. Their California burrito's are pretty legit, and the hot sauce (more garlicy than anything) go great on them. Ate there just last night, even.

Oceanside, CA
Nothing fancy, but $4.83 (before tax) will get you the famous California Burrito. This monster is all one person needs to satisfy a normal human appetite. It even has French fries inside it! I like avocado, so I recommend adding guacamole for $0.65 more. Fast Drive Thru service delivers solid Mexican food that will stick to your ribs, at a fairly reasonable price. If you drink water, $20 will put 3 into a food induced siesta. Enjoy. 4-stars

My husband looooves this place & would eat here constantly if he could. I on the other hand am a refried bean lover and if a place doesn't have good beans I won't want to go back. The beans tatsed like they were from a can, but I guess if you want to eat anything other than the beans I guess you won't disapprove of this place.
