    Carne Asada Fries are $7.79.
    Combo #6 (burrito + enchiladas) is $6.49.

Prices are reasonable.  Not terribly cheap, but the fries are worth it!

To be honest, I wasn't even planning on eating anywhere near here. But if your friend takes 30+ minutes looking for a restroom to relieve his gastrointestinal organs, I guess it's enough time and reason to order some decent Mexican food.

In my opinion, carne asada fries are a MUST at every freaking Mexican joint. If you don't have good carne asada fries, I sincerely don't know why you run a business. Unless you have fan-jesus-tastic tacos. Anyways, their carne asada burrito is chockful of meat that's seasoned decently and slightly on the tougher side. The carne asada fries weren't bad but I do wish they had more of their toppings and some slightly better quality toppings. Their guacamole tasted EXACTLY like the guacamole I get from Berkeley dining halls, no joke. It's not a bad thing, but if you think a Mexican  restaurant's guac is on level with a college campus dining hall guac, something's a little bit wrong...

Other than that, parking is everywhere and the line was super short along with quick served orders. Might come back again if I ever do decide to drop by El Monte...Which is probably never...Well found place though!

Alfredo's is my go-to spot after a night of drinking or clubbing if I'm craving Mexican food, since it's open 24/7!  I've been to Alberto's (hated it) and other Mexican joints but was never super impressed, so I was pretty skeptical when my friends took me here after a night at Bar Louie's.

I was surprised to find that I've driven by this place about a million times in the past 4 years (it's en route to school) and never really noticed it.  The place is small and only has outdoor seating, with two drive thru lanes.

I always get the Chicken burrito with cheese and it is seriously one of the best burritos I've ever had.  It's huge, juicy, meaty; it's perfect.  (That's what she said).  I especially love the tortilla they use, chewy and thick.  I'm not sure on the price since I've always been charged a different price... and I'm always too drunk to remember (somewhere between $4-6).

They're also well-known for their Carne Asada Nachos... I've had the Carne Asada Fries and since they're HEAVENLY, I would think the nachos are on the same caliber.

You just need to get your ass here.  Pronto.

Alfredo's (which came before Alberto's) is soooo much better than Alberto's! I lub lub lub da Chicken Burrito here and the Super Nachos. Last time I came here some old Chinese man that couldn't speak English was stopped by the police in the parking lot. It was like dinner and a movie.

Perfect spot to be stop by after a night of partying and if you wanted to fat greasy stuff down your tummy!

Given the fact that I have ahem*drunk*ahem, I don't really remember what I ordered. But I vaguely remember screaming that I wanted Quesadilla de el Pollo, Carne Asada Burrito, Carne Asada Fries and perhaps some Taquitos when we pulled up to the drive through.

Good thing that my friend spoke Spanish, because apparently they had a hard time understanding my 1st grader Spanish and/or English.

Food was comforting, but all I remember was that it was greasy and I couldn't finish my order. Hmm... Perhaps I need to go back one day when I am sober and do a follow up review on this spot.

I can't believe it took me this long to review Alfredo's.  Since everyone else has said all that needs to be said, I'll make it short and sweet.

    CARNE ASADA FRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Super Nachos!!!!!!!!!!!
Quesadilla with Carnitas, Sour Cream, and Guacamole!!!!!!!!
    Heart Attack!!!!!!
    Obesity!!!!!!!
    Don't Care!!!!!!!!

Food rocks!   Late night after clubbing to sober up, after a hard day at work and you don't want to cook, or you've given up and you don't care if you ever meet a woman!

Love the food.  Maybe not the safest area around, but if you show up with the clubbing crowd, you'll be safe.  During the day, they're usually pretty busy, so there's nothing to worry about really.

Put's almost all other Mexican fast food restaurants to shame!

Only complaint, is that their chile could be better.  Just not hot enough and sometimes a bit watery.  Fix the problem by taking it home and adding your own.

I came here just for the carne asada fries. It took a long time to get them, but it was WORTH THE WAIT! Great portions for the price, has sour cream & guac and makes you crave more when you're done.

In fact, I really wish I could have a box of fries next to me right now.

Plus, open 24 hours with a drive through. THUMBS UP!

I thought you were my late-night bestfriend, Alfredo! Instead, the toilet was my bestfriend tonight! My goodness!

The carne asada burrito did NOT sit well in my tummy. The hubby had stomach complaints, too! This can't be good, especially when I like your burritos very much.

I'm going to give you the benefit of doubt because I still enjoy your fish burritos. I just hope you won't do me wrong again. The fish burrito tasted fresh and clean. I can't say the same for the carne asada burrito I had tonight.

The burrito tasted grainy towards the end... like sand or dirt (unusual earthy taste). Dare I find out? I think I'd rather NOT know... unless I end up in the ER or something.

Alberto's, you had me at "hello". So, I had you yesterday and today.... but I won't have you again until again NEXT MONTH because I don't want to spend half a day on the toilet anytime soon.

This is a very typical Californian-Mexican food joint.  By that I mean its a food staple for drunk people coming home in the AM, for people looking to grab a fast and hearty bite, for satisfying late night munchies etc.

The staff really struggles with English, and even Mexican people eat here so you know its legit.

    Items to recommend:
CARNE ASADA FRIES (one order is good for 2 people)
SUPER NACHOS (same as above, except over chips)
    Fish Burrito
    Carne Asada Burrito

Pretty much anything on the menu offers great return for the price.  Prices are reasonable, but it sucks that they are a cash only joint last time I checked.  Regardless, I frequent this place to satisfy my Mexican food cravings.  Oh yeah, and they have drive-thru.

PROTIP:  If you don't like really oily foods, steer clear.

I like that it's open 24 hours a day! But it's located in El Monte and it's near the freeway and bus station, so it's not the safest place to be; homeless people hang around :(  I also kinda wish there was indoor seating

The carne asada nachos are the thing to get! It was chips topped with sour cream, beans, guacamole, carne asada, and cheese. It was the bomb! I loved that there are clumps of cheese in the layers as you work through the box of nachos. mm mm good.

    Dear Yelp,

Just so you know, this review is only for one item at this place in two different versions as this is the only reason I stop by here on the way home.  This review is for the Super nachos or Super Fries which are the same thing almost except that one is w/ fries and the other with nacho chips.

Freak'n delicious!  the meat is usually really flavorful, sometimes salty but hey, its carne asada cooked in masses. (pavlov's reaction while writting this review). lots of guac and they have sour cream but i usually ask w/o it. and basic salsa and a splash of grease hidden here and there and a couple of bags of jalapeno for spiciness.

I've had the burrito here but not the best and not the worse either. But everyone should try the "SUPER FRIES" or aka carne asada fries.  this dish is not for someone who's looking to loose a few pounds.  this dish is for someone from a third world country that needs to gain some weight in a hurry.  its a large dish which most people can share but I usually polish it off by myself, sometimes during my drive home, finishing before I hit the drive way and i like about 4 miles from this place.

ADOBADA TACOS. SO delicious. They give you sooo much meat on one taco that you can probably make 2 tacos out of it. The meat is so flavorful and cooked to a perfection.

I've tried adobada tacos at other places..but I think this is still my favorite!

The only thing I have to complain about is that sometimes they're kind of slow. But overall..bombdigggity

Went here based on the good reviews on Yelp.  Ordered a carne asada burrito. It tasted pretty good but was way too salty as one reviewer had mentioned earlier.  If they had used just half the amount of salt, I'd imagine the food to taste a lot better.

I was really hoping to find some good quality, inexpensive Mexican food near where I live.  However, I don't think I'll return anytime soon.

It's like any other Alerto's, Albertos, Alejandro's...mexican food places that end with o's! Food isn't much different. I had the Alfredo Burrito, which is pretty much a California burrito. Originally I wanted the carne asada fries, but it's $7.50 plus they don't have half orders like most other places. The Alfredo Burrito was freakin' fresh and hot, a little too hot to hold. Althoguh the meat wasn't super flavorful, it's not bad. You can't go wrong with any of  the o's!

If I ever meet the man/woman who created carne asada fries I'd like to shake their hand and give thanks...then slap them for making me crave this delicious concoction at random and inappropriate times throughout my daily life. =)

This beautiful Sunday morning the wife and I seem to share the same "itch" for the aforementioned fries.  So we head on over to Alfredo's once again and place our lone order for carne asada fries (hold the guac....a little too salty, oniony) You get A LOT of food for a single order so we split it...all in moderation my friends...cuz if you attempt to tackle this $7.50 monstrosity on your own in one sitting....you have a death wish....and also my respect!

The delicious carne asada smell follows us all the way home as my foot gets a little heavier on the gas pedal....hey....we were hungry. =)  So it starts with some thin golden fries, a first layer of melted cheese, a generous portion of sour cream topped with  a heap of savory carne chunks and a final sprinkling of cheese on all that for good measure.  We grab our plastic forks and hot sauce (red for me, green for the wife) and proceed to ravenously devour the contents of every last centimeter that white styrofoam housed. OUTSTANDING! We leave nothing in our wake but a few lonely salsa stains.  The perfect start to a glorious Sunday....so Alfredo, expect us back in your double drive thru in the VERY near future!

Had the Carne Asada Fries after a late night of partying and man i was never more satisfied. It felt like every bite was pure bliss to my tastebuds. Although i rarely eat fast food now, i consider this one of the better places as opposed to say Taco Bell or Taco Lita. Best late night mexican place in the 626 for sure.

Although i'm not a huge fan of "fast food" i rate this location 4 stars because of the convience, fast service, and delicious portions. My carne asada fries were enough for 2. FOR SURE.

Cheap, food coma inducing burritos with red sauce..  definitely the place to be for drunks returning from a night in LA. However this time for once I actually had my carne asada burrito sober, guess it's just not as good as I thought it would be but still pretty solid. You can hardly ever go wrong with greasy Mexican food, known fact.

Get a burrito, the carne asada fries other people attest to as being really tasty are okay at best, there's better in the OC and in SD but it's all about convenience.

    Open 24/7, win.

If it weren't SO damn ghetto in the surrounding area, I would be there ALL the time.  It's probably better that I'm not, though..it has to be at least 1,000 calories per order.

Yay for dual sided drive through windows for twice the service! Not. But I'm sure it saves some time.

I thought it'd be hard to beat Alberto's 24 hour drive thru that we had become so fond of during finals week while I was in college at UCI. But I was wrong. Alfredo's fills that niche for cheap, grease laden Mexican food but its strengths are a little different.

What to get? The burritos and carne asada fries. For some reason I got the fish burrito on a whim and expected it to suck, but it was delicious as was the chicken burrito. I'd say away from the rolled tacos and guac though, I've had much better elsewhere. Culinary excellence and innovation? Meh, not really. Grease adequately seasoned to satisfy your alcohol filled stomach? Definitely.

Authentic, inexpensive mexican food, similar to Albertos.

    carne-asada burrito + rice & bean for $4.99 - beat that!

Enjoyed the carne-asada burrito, did not like the polo burrito (there's only chicken in it nothing else).  Food a little on the salty side but otherwise pretty good.

This place is open 24/7 and looks pretty clean too.

My boyfriend took me here since we were both craving some delicious authentic Mexican food! I liked the fact that they are open 24 hours and offers a drive thru :)

I ended up getting the chicken enchilada's for $3.99 and he got the carne asada burrito plate (burrito, rice and beans) for $4.99 as well as a side of chips for $.50! Once we ordered, we only waited about 5 minutes, so they were pretty fast with the food. Just a note: this place only accepts cash and debit card.

As I patiently waited to get home and enjoy my enchilada's I was surprised by the large portion for $4! I think it came with 4 chicken enchilada's smoothered in sauce, cheese and lettuce!! Yum :) The green and hot sauces were really good too!! The carne asada burrito was packed with lettuce, salsa, guacamole, and a bunch of beef! I thought that the carne asada was a little bit salty, but still pretty good.

I would totally recommend this place! The portions are huge, the value is good and they are open all day long! What more could you ask for? :)

Gotta give credit where it's due and that would be Miss Tracy.  She introduced me to this place.  And I'm not sure if it was always Alfredo's or it had changed from Alberto's and when that was.  You have to order the bean and cheese burrito with sour cream inside.  A puuuurfect combo.  The lines can get long late at night, which is when we go.  We went there late one night and the line was horrendous, but we weren't giving up.  As we turned the first corner we noticed something on the ground by a bush off to the right.  It was some guy totally twisted and passed out.  Thought of the "eat something and sober up" idea a little too late, didn't he.
I've never tried the carne asada fries but I had a few of their chicken tacos and they were to die for.

3 words:  Carna Asada Fries!  Get it!  It's better than sex.  Ok maybe not better but it'll sure put you into a food coma for sure.  The prices are very decent for mexican joint.  24/7... that's just gravy for a late night snack.

It's hit or miss with the consistency here.  I always order the carne asada burrito and my wife orders the taquitos and a hard shredded beef taco.  We go there at least 3 times a month and never know what to expect.  Last night my burrito had no seasoning so I had to drown it in the red sauce and my wifes taco seriously looked like after it was made they dipped it into a pot of grease.  It was glistening even after she tried to absorb some of the grease with 3 napkins!.  Oh well.  Time to look elsewhere.
