Review from Debra L.
Warning: my review is only for the piece of square pizza I ordered and will not serve as a useful commentary for any of the packaged or frozen foods sold here.
Now for my review: Anyone who raves abut that "school cafeteria quality" square pizza at Galleria Umberto's, better get their ass to Alfredo Aiello's to try their pizza. THIS is good square pizza.
I felt I needed to set the record straight, and now I have.Listed in: The life of a pizza eater

Review from Maryan P.

They do have great square pizza that is served warm (located behind their cash register). They also sell San Marzano tomatoes which are not easy to find. Don't be fooled by thinking any can labeled San Marzano are the real one's. The one's they sell are. Always read the back label.

Alfredo Aiello Italian Foods in Norwell is a great store to pick some fresh pasta and sauces at very reasonable prices. This store is clean and pretty organized with the price lists clearly posted throughout the store.
They carry a good variety of fresh pasta including stuffed pastas (raviolis, tortellini, stuffed shells, manicotti), linguine, fettuccine, angel hair, gnocchi, cavatelli, and sheet pasta. Sauces in stock include tomato sauce, meat sauce, alfredo, garlic parmesan, sweet pumpkin, and pink lobster sauce. They also carry frozen entrees/trays, soups, Italian groceries, cookies, desserts, and breads. There's also a full service deli counter offering imported meats and cheese, deli platters, and made to order sandwiches.
On Thurs, Fri, & Sat, they offer thick crust pizza by the slice and calzones. I had some cheese pizza slices (squares) for lunch which were really good and had a thick soft crust with a thick layer of cheese and a hearty sauce.
I just served some fresh fettuccine with meat sauce for dinner, which my family really enjoyed! If you happen to be in the Norwell area and craving authentic Italian food to bring home, stop in here! Mangia!

Fantastic place. Greatest chicken parm. Get there early to get the freshly baked bread.
There's also one in Quincy, and the two places are almost identical- read my Quincy review for more details. -
Review from Kim P.
New York, NY
I reheated a box of Alfredo's pre made, "home style" chicken and broccoli ziti in the oven for 15 minutes and served it to the little sister, claiming I had made it myself...she thought I was a fantastic cook.
5 stars for my renewed rep as the better cook between the sisters! -
Review from Natalie C.
East Weymouth, MA
I hate to be the only person to write a negative review but I was majorly disappointed after purchasing a bunch of stuff here. After reading all the rave reviews, I purchased the pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin sauce, and the chicken penne with broccoli, and garlic bread. All of them were just mediocre at best with the exception of the pumpkin sauce which was totally inedible. The texture of the sauce was gritty and lacked flavor. I wanted desperately to like this place but unfortunately won't be returning.

This place is so good. Their bread is to die for, and you can get pre-made delicious pastas or the fixings to make your own. Even the Italians will love this place (I know because I am one).

Pumpkin ravioli is my favorite. My husband loves the pizza.
