I went to Alfred Angelo simply to browse at wedding dresses and to get an IDEA of what I wanted. I had planned on going to a more expensive place to get my dress but I wanted to know what style I wanted. I friend of mine was going to Alfred Angelo so I tagged along. Needless to say the first dress I tried on was the dress I bought. The $700 price tag seemed so much more reasonable than the $2,000 or so I was planning on spending. Nonetheless, I ordered it with three extra feet on the train and it was scheduled to arrive from India six weeks before wedding.

Fast forward to four weeks before my wedding: No dress. I call and they tell me that it shipped and should arrive the next week. Next week rolls around, no dress. I am again told it should arrive next week. That week comes and no dress is to be found. I call in complete frustration with three weeks until my wedding and they flat out tell me "We don't know where it is." By this time I am freaking out. My mother-in-law calls them to figure out exactly what happened and she does not learn anything new. For some reason, these bridal shops do not get tracking numbers for shipped dresses!!!

After getting the runaround from corporate we finally get a tracking number and the dress arrived in NEW JERSEY two weeks before. Why it shipped there we will never know. A quick phone call from corporate to the New Jersey store had it fixed and my dress arrived with 15 days to go.

I was so relieved to get my dress and get it to the tailors that I did not realize they never gave me a garmet bag. They charged me $7 for one when I purchased my dress and they never gave me one. Needless to say after carrying it around from my in-laws to the tailors it got filthy, so I then had to pay $170 to get it clean. Talk about frustration.

The dress aside, the bridesmaids dresses were beautiful and they arrived without incident. Since I ordered my wedding dress during a certain period I received $200 off my wedding dress and the bridesmaids got $30 off their dresses.
