Alfiere Mediterranean Bistro
2 reviews for Alfiere Mediterranean Bistro
Alfiere is a little-known restaurant tucked away in the Sheraton Hotel on Harbor Island. We went there awhile back for the hubby's Birthday dinner. Unfortunately the ambiance that night was... quiet. If the word has not gotten out yet on this place, be warned that it's only busy if there is a convention or something at the hotel that night. The particular night we were there, the ambiance (the place was practically deserted) turned us off so much we almost left.
We were thrilled we didn't, because it gave us a chance to discover a lovely restaurant with impeccable service and incredible food. We ordered the short rib ravioli as an appetizer to share even though it was a main dish. I'm not sure if it's still on the menu but if it is - order it - it's tender, meltingly rich beef in homemade ravioli pasta that is nothing short of spectacular.
My mind is hazy as to the main dishes we ordered but they were delightful as well, and to cap off the evening they even brought out a complimentary dessert tray with champagne as a celebratory birthday gesture.
Highly recommended. Subtracting a star only for the lack of ambiance.
Great food and service. The scallops were cooked perfectly and well seasoned with great flavors. if you find yourself at the Sheraton I would seek out this restaurant
