As a Bothell native, I have grown up going to Alexa's and I have to say the only complaint I have is that it can be super busy at times and it will take a while to get your food.

Now that's out of the way, I love this little cafe!  The servers are friendly and know everything on the menu.  The food is always good - I've never had something I didn't enjoy.  I especially love their Venetian scramble - so delish!  They also rent out their space for private parties and they have awesome catering.  What a great local cafe - I love it!

OK- I am going to be brutally honest. I don't like this place at all. I have been 2x. I know I wanted to give them a fair chance before I yelped them. First time super slow service. i can look over this if the food is good, but it was not.

First trip- Taco salad- gross and they serve the salsa and sour cream in plastic round containers-tacky. I was trying to eat healthy and it worked because I did not eat  but 3 bites.
Second trip- Chicken sandwich- never had a more disgusting thing EVER! Dry and no flavor. My husband ordered an chile relleno burger- his response after we left was never going there again. I totally agree. Fake hollandaise sauce they say is homemade. My daughter french toast sticks were decent (how can you mess that up), but the syrup had a major chemical aftertaste. She did not finish. We went there after my daughters soccer game we were all starving and we left starving. Not fun after the bill was over $60.00 for crap food.

I had high expectations for this place, although I do not know anyone who I know that has recommended it to me. Just see a lot of ads for them in local papers and the name is cute and so is the little girl, but the food was a total disappointment. Service was really bad both times too.

I know this is a small town, but that does not mean you can't have good quality food. It's not that difficult people. There are too many good places on the same street to go here.

Great little cafe in downtown Bothell, just about everything I have gotten has been tasty, better than Maltby Cafe and without the wait.   Breakfast is the bomb, love the crab benedict, good hollandaise and breakfast potatoes, the breakfast burritos are also good.
For lunch I've had the tuna melt which was yummy and also the grilled pesto and cheese with added turkey, both of which must be paired with the tomato basil soup, yum.

The atmosphere is kinda country quirky with mismatched chairs and exposed brick, a nice little treat to bring out of towners to and kid friendly.

Alexa's is a pretty decent breakfast choice in Bothell.  Nothing fancy, it definitely has the feel of Old Bothell.  The menu has a nice selection of egg dishes (scrambles and benedicts), as well as pancakes and french toast.  Thick maple bacon was a nice touch, and most of the dishes were pretty decent.  Price is on the high side, as most were close to $10, but there is an option for half-sized portion, which will knock off a couple of bucks.  Service is friendly, but definitely on the slow side as there was basically one server for the entire place.

Edit: The service has improved a lot, it's as good as anyplace, and you really can't beat the food. It's become one of my favorites.

It's Bothell so there really isn't anything better on Main Street. Most of the food is pretty good. The service is really sketchy. The owner has a reputation around town as a ballbuster but my biggest objection is that she either hires pretty college girls who are pretty but dumb as a post, or old waitresses who are, well, ballbusters as well. Check your coffee cup, too, there's a crack in it and germs are in there.

Overall decent.  Nice quaint place to eat.  Service has been hit or miss, some of the gals are friendlier than others, but for the most part we've not had any bad service experience.

Food:  I always get the eggs benedict, price is 10.95.  Prices overall are average.  Food portion isn't huge, but enough to satisfy.  Overall, the food we have gotten has been pretty good.  Lines have been non-existent on weekdays... Saturdays are a bit longer.  Recommended.

Easily the worst service I've ever encountered. I would be more understanding if the place had been busy but 10 patrons max. The food was OK and the prices weren't warranted. STAY AWAY!!! Complete letdown for me given the talk on here.

Enjoyable breakfast. Good coffee and portions are perfect (half portion is a nice option).  I found the service to be fine considering it was a crowded Sunday morning. A little wait on the food which the staff was apologetic for, but strong follow up.

The food is ok, the service is AWFUL!! Went there with my brother, sat for ten minutes before even getting drink orders and had to wait even longer to get cream for my coffee. I suppose that if the place were busy it would have been a little more acceptable, but it was super slow.

The one thing I still love about Alexa's- amazing bacon!

We've eaten at Alexa's Cafe several times in the past few months.  The food has been a hit everytime - including Easter Sunday with a table of 10 people.  Their service is a little, uh, unique.  The staff tends to get distracted and forget items . . .gather in the front and forget tables. . . annoying when you're ready to order or get the check or want jam.  We continue to go back because the kitchen sends out great food and the menu is large with tremendous variety and offers 1/2 portions of key items.

I was able to fill up my stomach with good food for a good price. I enjoy reading through the books while waiting for a table to clear.
I've only gone here on the weekends and I've had to wait a minimum of 5 minutes each time, so far so good, I've enjoyed it the few times I have been there.

I am currently working with the owner, Leigh - to cater our June wedding.  She has been absolutely wonderful!  Very down to earth, and one of the easiest vendors I have worked with so far while planning our wedding.

We came in for a consultation to try the food, I had some GREAT Eggs Benedict, and my fiance' had a pretty good cheeseburger!
Im sure i'll have more to say after the wedding - but Im impressed.  Great value and great service!  A+!

Sometimes Alexa's can totally hit the spot.  Nothing fancy, just a straightforward menu without any surprises.  But there are times when every bite you take is one of regret.

Service can be iffy.  Again, sometimes its spot-on; other times you wait forever for your food to arrive.

Since I work in Kenmore, it's convenient and a somewhat decent lunchspot.  Just don't set your expectations too high, and know that your entire experience could be different if you go on a different day.

They recently had some kitchen renovations, so hopefully that will help with their consistency issues.

The food here is pretty good.  I've gone and it's been awesome, and I've gone and it's been just okay.  But the last time I went, the service was just awful.  We had to ask for everything twice (jam, coffee refills, water, etc.), and the waitress forgot half the things we ordered.

I will admit that it was very busy that morning, so I would have understood if the service had just been a bit slow.  But it wasn't just slow, it was pretty much nonexistant.  Our waitress was very nice, but she was just so dazed that I honestly think she might have had a hangover.

Yum! I lub me some Alexa's.

The exposed brick is awesome; the veggie breakfast burrito (plus bacon) is worth driving up to Bothell every time... especially for their homemade salsa.  If you beg, they'll let you buy a huge mason jar for 8 bucks.

I hear they're adding a new Alexa's at Swanson's Nursery on Crown Hill.

It is really good but, the menu is limited. The sandwiches are superb and so are the scrambles! Thinking about it makes me want one right now! They have a wide variety of tasty teas on the table. The staff is very friendly and will sometimes forget to check on you but, won't mind if you ask them for something.

It is very popular so it is VERY CROWDED in the morings and on weekends. They close at 4 which stinks if you want to pick some sandwiches up for dinner.

Rather good meal, I was a little disappointed with my Eggs Benedict as the egg itself was over-poached, but the hollandaise made up for it.  Kitschy family orientated place with mis-matched tables and chairs helps to give it that homestyle country feel.  Wait staff were great.

They have free wi-fi now, and they have perfectly crispy bacon.  I do love their tomato basil soup (which I have bought by the quart for Jeremy C), but like he said, some of the sandwiches are hit or miss.

This is a great place to go for soup.  I've never been dissatisfied with their soups and have bought them by the quart on a couple occassions.  Their breakfasts are also good.

Their other food and sandwhiches can be hit and miss.  I've had a few sandwhiches there that were just mediocre.

Even though it was busy we were seated and got our breakfasts fairly quickly.  I liked that they offered 1/2 portions of their scrambles and that they have some tasty healthier options.

I tried this place out today with my boyfriend. It was great. I had the Veggie Breakfast burrito. He had the Alexa Slam. I was impressed, even as a vegetarian at the thickness of the bacon. Looked like a meat lovers dream to me. Anyway, the veggie burrito was delicious. The staff was very good. The espresso was amazing. I loved it. We will definitely be going back. I could not give it a full 5 stars because I also got a side of pasta salad. And one of the grape tomatoes was gross. So, one star off for that and there wasn't enough sugar at the table to put in my coffee. Very very good. I also was into the very open floor plan.

Very sweet place with a lot of small-town atmosphere.  Delicious omelettes and very generous helpings.  When we were there it was quite busy and the waitresses were working hard, so it was a bit of a wait between visits.  One thing that did bug us: the soda is served from cans with no free re-fills, as would be expected in a restaurant of this type.  As a plus, the artwork (which is for sale) is very beautiful.

The food is good but the service is TERRIBLE. The wait staff act as though they're doing you a favor to fill your coffee cup. And god forbid you should tell the person who seats you that you already know what you want!

My favorite place in Bothell! It's an ADORABLE cafe, but doesn't feel like you are sitting in your grandma's dining room. I tend to end up here at least once a week and the best thing I have ordered so far (although everything has been yummy) is the Willow Scramble. The french toast is perfect, and if you are looking for lunch the curry chicken salad on croissant and the basil tomato bisque are fabulous. The best latte I've ever had is served here and they can also do coffee to go. WAY better than Starbuck's for sure! Service can be a bit slow but most people come here for a relaxing brunch anyways, and the waitresses are all very nice.
