We are so lucky to have had Alex take both our engagement and wedding photographs. Just as others are saying, she's incredibly talented, passionate, and relaxed - all traits I really valued having in a photographer. In our very first conversation, Alex and I bonded over our strict rules for not doing the same ol', same ol', and that's exactly what we got: The photographs we now have really capture the real essence of my new hubby and me together, in a non-stuffy, cool, and authentic way. It's not every day you have someone following your every move and taking pictures of you, but we both felt very comfortable with her, and HIGHLY recommend her work to anyone. We're so happy with it all, and we can't wait to work with her again.

Alex is such an amazing photographer. James and I were so glad to have her capture our wedding. Her stealthy intimate photo-shooting caught so many wonderful moments. Some of our favorite shots were of the little pieces that made up the environment.
I also appreciated her extra hands when we needed someone to hold my shoes!
She is a delightful person to talk with and a well grounded professional photographer. James and I highly recommend Alex! -

When my brother and his fiancee experienced one too many unbelievable setbacks with their impending wedding, I stepped in to help manage it and I found Alex at the last minute (hardly two weeks before the wedding). From the very beginning and through the day itself, she never ceased to be helpful, friendly, flexible and good-natured about the craziness of the situation. We hired her to shoot just the ceremony, and it was supposed to be outdoors; but the day dawned to torrential downpours and it had to be moved inside. Alex adapted wonderfully and took some absolutely stunning shots--and when the rain let up a bit after the ceremony, we still got to have some natural light shots outside the building. Her ability to go from one setting to another with no warning was so appreciated.
More important than anything else, though, my new sister in law (like most of us) tends to not like photos of herself and was very apprehensive about having a photographer at all. But she LOVES Alex's work from her wedding day. There is one photo from the ceremony of my sister in law's face during the vows that literally brought tears to my eyes when I saw it the first time--as my mom said when she saw it, "It's like you're looking right into her soul". All the aspects of the day that Alex shot, from the bride and groom to the bottles of champagne to the hand-made signs, have been captured with such loving detail. They will be treasured for years and years.
While she's an experienced photographer, Alex is still relatively new to the wedding scene; but if she hadn't told me herself, I never would have guessed. For her technical skill, kindness, and flexibility (on everything from budget to lighting), I couldn't recommend working with Alex more highly. -

This review is a couple months overdue and very much deserved as Alex did an AMAZING job with our engagement photos! My fiance and I found Alex through a good friend of mine who works with her at their daytime gig in front-end web development. My friend told me about her crazy talented coworker who just recently started doing wedding photography on the weekends because it is such a passion of hers...we were totally sold as soon as we saw some of her work. Alex's photos are completely natural looking, not the sometimes cheesy or posed looking engagement shots. And she is awesome at capturing that amazing late afternoon sunshine glow that I love sooo much (you wedding blog readers know exactly what I'm talking about, this lighting is super flattering and romantic!).
We had know idea what to expect on the day of our shoot downtown and honestly we were a bit nervous (after all it's not everyday you kiss and cuddle up in public with your fiance while someone takes your pic!), but Alex immediately put us at ease. We walked all over Boston just chatting with each other and Alex, people watching and enjoying the gorgeous fall day...all while she took our pics. We had so much fun and it wasn't more than an hour after we got home that Alex posted a sneak peek on Facebook. We were completely BLOWN AWAY with even just those five pictures! Alex captured us at our very best...100% relaxed, happy, and in love...exactly how you want to look in your engagement photos! And that was just a preview of things to come because maybe two weeks later (amazingly quick turnaround I'm told by my other engaged friends who have waited months for their engagement pics) Alex send over the rest of our pics, all of which are equally fabulous. Our families were so excited to finally have some nice pics of us in our adopted city and now we're finding it's so tough to pick favorites as we use them on our wedding website and such.
To sum things up, we are so thankful for the beautiful photos that Alex took for us; we'll cherish them forever. The fact that she is easy to work with and affordable is just the icing on the cake. -

There are lots of photographers out there that will gladly take your picture. But there's only one you. You're unique. And I want to take photographs that reflect that. I want my photographs to show what it is that makes you you.
As your photographer my job is to faithfully capture a moment-NOT to be a part of it. That's why I work hard to be as stealthy and unobtrusive as possible. You end up with beautiful, natural shots that show why each moment is worth remembering.
"green weddings" and "eco-friendly weddings" are all the rage right now. I believe that you can throw the party of your life while contributing to a greater good, and I hope you do too!
