Only thing I ever order here is the FISH & CHIPS on the lunch special...It's always been good, the price is fair...the portions are just right, and the guys are always nice. I get the order to go, take it across the street to the little park and I'm all-set to dine
AL FRESCO whilst watching a ball game or a dog fest...

Of course, I have to bring-along my own small supply of black MALT VINEGAR; they don't serve it...but, I'm always prepar'd in that department...

Food came cold and pretty tasteless. Fries were some of the worst I have ever experienced. Wings were dry, chewy and gross to put it nicely. Chocolate cake was absolutely disgusting.

All I have to say is WOW!  My company orders this food often and I have tried a lot of it.  The steak tips are amazing...the Falafel is out of this world with fresh lettuce and all sorts of greatness to it.  I am VERY impressed!  OPEN MILE loves this place!

Walked here to order a sub and check the place out.  They don't have small sizes, meaning if I want a sub, it's going to be a big, foot-long beast that I can't finish and then feel guilty about wasting.  Oh well, I ordered a steak and cheese sub.  It was really quite tasty, but at $7 a sub (inc. tax) I'd rather go elsewhere and get a sandwich I can manage.

On another day ordered the 2 pizza slice deal and it was gross.  Gosh, this is worst that Celeste pizza.  If a $1 frozen pizza can beat your restaurant, it must be really bad.

I decided to order some Alex Pizza and Grill on a disgusting and rainy September evening, as I had never ordered here before, it happened to be on Foodler, and there was a 20% off coupon.

It took them about an hour and a half to get to my apartment, though my primary concerns aren't about that, as I can understand the wait considering that they probably had a decent amount of orders on a rainy and disgusting evening.  Even when the guy made me come down to meet him outside, I understood, as it's hard to find parking outside my building.

However, it's the food that makes this place just a one star attraction.  I ordered a calzone with pepperoni and broccoli, and buffalo fries.

The calzone that came was just a cheese calzone.  There was no pepperoni or broccoli.   Now, maybe it's just the way the orders are printed on Foodler, though in my use of the site, I've never had another restaurant forget the ingredients. However, considering the storm and how long I'd have to wait, I decided to just suck it up and eat the dang thing.

It wasn't that good of a calzone.  The cheese tasted like overprocessed elementary school cheese, and the calzone looked like a sad little elementary school calzone (or, what one would expect an elementary school calzone to look like).  While it helped that the marinara was there for easy dipping, it didn't add much to the overall calzone, making it no more than a cheezy fail.

On to the buffalo fries. These sounded cool because, I mean, who doesn't like buffalo?  It's spicy, it's great when it comes on wings and tenders, what can really go wrong with that?    It's really too bad that these were all fries, no buffalo.  I could barely taste a hint of spicy seasoning in these, but nothing all that exciting.

Considering the 20% off coupon, I didn't pay that much, and it was about the same as had I paid for a cheese-only calzone.  But it still wasn't worth it for what I got, and I won't order from them again, because even with all of the screwups and time issues, the food just wasn't that good.

I've walked by this place a lot and always wondered if it was any good, so we went in and got a take-out menu.  Recently we used a great coupon from the take-out menu and got a large cheese pizza plus a small order of chicken tenders and a 2-liter soda for $14.95.

The Good:  Online ordering, free delivery with only a $9.00 minimum, large cheese pizza by itself is only $9.95.  The restaurant has an extensive menu as it also has Greek cuisine.  Our large cheese pizza had a delicious scent of garlic about it, and the chicken tenders were fresh, juicy, and there were a LOT of them.

The Bad:  I wouldn't call anything "bad" here from my limited experience...

The Meh:  The large pizza was not so large, and the crust was like a frozen pizza you could buy in a grocery store.  I'm talking perforated dough, flat, no-personality crust.  It was ok but nothing great.

Bottom line:  I wouldn't order pizza here again, although the other menu items, especially the Greek stuff, look good.  I'd definitely try those if I'm feeling lazy and want to order in food.  Two-and-a-half stars rounded up to three because the chicken tenders were good.

Never order from here!  I recently ordered from here (maybe about 2-3 months ago) and the delivery took longer than expected to arrive.  They had said about 30 minutes but it took closer to an hour.  When you're hungry, you're HUNGRY!  Once the food did arrive it was so-so.  I mean, it was pizza and chicken fingers so there's not much gourmet-ness going on but still.

Now here's the horrible part ... not only was there a delivery charge to my order but there was a charge to use a credit card over the phone.  Most delivery places waive a delivery fee after a minimum amount of order but nope, not here.  Plus I had it delivered in the South End ... about 5 minutes from the location!

When the food arrived, I tipped the driver in cash and was never asked to sign the credit card slip.  A few days later I looked at my online bill of my credit card to find that $4 had been added to my bill on top of what I approved.  Maybe I should have insisted on signing the slip, but it slipped my mind - especially since the charge was under $20.

Even though the amount they added on was minimal, it was still a violation and against the law!  I felt violated and was livid.  I went down to the place and showed the slip I had and my credit card statement showing the difference.  Not only did they accuse me of forgetting that I added on a tip but they also accused me of not being the one who received the delivery because the driver didn't recognize me.  To top it off, they showed me their portion of the credit card slip with someone who completely forged my name, or attempted to forge it!  Obviously someone who works for them is SHADY and is not to be trusted!  After talking/arguing with them and asking for a full refund for nearly an hour, they complied.

All in all, I will never go back and will tell everyone I know not to go there also.  Not only are they shady and not to be trusted but the food was only so-so.  There are so many other great places to order from and I plan on doing that from now on.

I LOVE their pizza. If you want cheese pizza I think it is by far the best in the South End for cheap pizza places. I have tried them all and always go to Alex's.

Hands down better than South End Pizza and Emilio's.

I have also ordered the greek salad and chicken wrap and its really good.

    PRO:
    - the gourmet pizza.
    - free delivery with $9 minimum order (they did, however, charge me an extra dollar for delivery twice, but since it's only a dollar, I will let it go..)

    BAD:
-delivery is often late. They estimate each delivery would take about 20- 30 minutes. In reality, it always comes within 45 minutes- 1 hour
    -extremely rude delivery man
-manager seems to not care about customer's complaints or about anything in general
