I love classes with Alex! Not only has she helped me transform my practice far past what I have gotten from videos and larger classes at other studios/gyms, but I always feel incredibly balanced and calm when i leave the studio after class.
She has great music mixes and isn't at all a drill instructor. Classes are catered to how the students are feeling each day, but are always challenging. She often will add in some 'cool' poses if I ask for them- usually involving a new arm balancing posture of some sorts. She is patient with you and will push you when she sees you are ready for a next step. I love the personal/laidback vibe to her classes and how she seems to have a contagious energy about her that just makes you smile even when you are in the middle of your least favorite pose.
I secretly don't want to share how great her classes are because then they will fill up, but you will be happy you come every time and she will be happy you came too. -

I am just coming back to yoga after an almost eight year break. Alex is very knowledgeable, helpful and patient with students of all levels. She is very well trained and makes a point to continue her learning with trips to India.
I always enjoy her classes because she takes the time to make sure that I am doing what is appropriate for me and not the person next to me. She is amazing!!! -

I have been practicing with and learning from Alex O'Malley since 2000. She has become my favorite yoga teacher ever. I have watched her teaching grow with her knowledge. Iam allways excited when she comes back from India with new things and insight that she adds to her class. Her Vinyasa classes are fun and challenging. You will laugh and you will sweat. She is allways very aware of everybody in the class. I have seen her teach many classes with a mix of absolute beginers to very advanced practioners. Luckily for all of us, Alex is back in the City. I've been practicing yoga off and on for the last 10 years. Alex came into our workplace and provided sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few months. Wow!!! I have to say that it has made my day flow so much better, has helped build my stamina, core strength etc. Coming into the class I thought I knew quite a bit about yoga, but I quickly realized that there was so much more to learn. Besides being extermely knowledgable, Alex is patient but also pushes you to reach your highest potential. You rock Alex!!!

I have been doing Yoga since the '80's- not a long time in the grand scheme of yogi's but this is to say that I have finally found my teacher. In Alex I have discovered a way to engage my body, and exert myself and smile even if the work is a challenge. For some reason (probably b/c she is well trained and a thoughtful individual) in Alex's classes, for the first time i am not trying to keep up with the person next to me. Rather than checking my ego at the door it has slipped away and is not an issue. Whether there are 5 or 15 of us i move in and out of feeling like i am the only one there or like i am happily part of a group that is growing somewhere together. thanks Alex for opening up a space where i can expand and stretch beyond my limits to meet my favorite self. YOU ROCK! FYI I have been working with Alex for a few months since she started coming to my office- it makes a difference- personally and professionally. try it - you won't be disappointed.
