If you are looking for something better, something memorable pick Alex Johnson.
My opinion? Alex is flexible to deliver what you want, exactly. He asks questions and is well versed in different photo techniques and can make the ordinary seem very extraordinary.
He is easy to talk with and listens to truly understand what is between the lines of what will make the memory photos.
He's creative, efficient, cost-effective (not cheap) but I don't recommend cheap - he's truly one of the up and comers in San Francisco photography, yet has 15 years of global photography experience.
He's THE BEST photographer I know and have worked with in a variety of relationships. As the client, as the talent, as the third-party reccommendation on the shoot. Never have I seen a client not "wow'ed" or unimpressed. Go to AJPhotographer and set it up! -

I found Alex from a local stager's website and have fallen in love. He is an amazing photographer and very reasonably priced. I love the clean contemporary way he captures a room and the people in it. I used his services for both for family portraits and for candid photographs of my son's first birthday. He took very authentic candid photos that captured my family in a way that seems really natural. I have worked with several different photographers over the years and Alex stands out as one who I feel I could call for any variety of events. His work is beautiful and his style is relaxed and engaging.

Alex is a great photographer and tons of fun to work with. This is going to sound lame, but I hired him to help me with my http://match.com photos. I know, who does that, right? Apparently, a lot of people. I was skeptical, but when I saw the final pics, I was so happy with them. They looked really natural, not cheesy. I was even able to use some of them as professional headshots. Highly recommend Alex!

I'm so excited that Alex is on Yelp and I can review him! Where do I start...Alex creates extrordinary photos out of even every day scenes. He truly knows how to uncover a person's character in their photos and he makes you look teriffic in the process! He is professional, a pleasure to work with and very easy going. Alex is open to feedback and very intuitive. He is teriffic with kids and allows them to be their normal playful selves while he shoots them. We have come to trust him to capture the most important moments in our lives - from important family occasions to milestone birthdays and next, our wedding!

Alex is a pleasure to work with. I'm a designer who has had Alex photograph several of my jobs and I've been so pleased with the results. I first worked with Alex last year when he took the photos of a house I had listed for sale (I was a realtor in Colorado). He thought of EVERYTHING. Lighting, weather, look, feel, how I wanted to market the house, clientele I was attracting, etc. He was so easy to work with and warm that I wanted to hire him to take pictures of our family. I was nervous with our son being under one year old - was Alex going to be able to get the 'right shot'? would our kiddo be asleep? how would the photos turn out? My fears were instantly quelled. He was amazing from the very beginning. Made us feel soso comfortable and got some wonderful smiles and expressions out of our son! He is a dog-lover and consequently, the dogs loved him and the camera! We couldn't be more impressed with the shoot itself, Alex's professionalism and friendliness and ability to adapt to any situation. He reads people and situations so well and has an incredible eye. The photos are priceless and we chalk it up to Alex, his skills and ease to work with. Thank you Alex!
