We have bought and sold homes in the Bay area as well as out of state and worked with several realtors. Alex is the best realtor we have worked with by far. He is honest, hard working, transparent, and communicates often.
We recently worked with Alex to sell our home. He not only offered us great advice, but I believe his guidance allowed us to sell our home quickly with multiple offers. He also has a great network of people he works with for cleaning, staging, home repairs, and inspection. They were all professional and reasonably priced.
He also works with a great team at his firm. There was one week that Alex was out on vacation. He was still accessible but had arranged for backup from his team in his absence. The team was just as high caliber as Alex.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him to any client. We are now working with him to look for our new home and should we have to sell or buy again in the future, we would definitely use him. -

This review is based solely on my home buying experience with Alex Wang.
Alex was referred to me by my family. I was impressed that he offered to show me homes on New Year's Day. That was a definite plus.
Next, came the challenging part...going through the home mortgage loan process. OK, this shouldn't be too challenging. WRONG! Anyhoo...going back to Alex. Alex worked day and night on straightening out the craziness that comes in purchasing a home.
At times it looked like things were turning for the worse, but Alex always had a positive attitude.
In the end, I have my home. And, thanks to Alex.
Alex is very professional and has great customer service. And, he knows his stuff.

I was referred to Rainmaker from a mortgage broker when we began our new home search. I met up with Alex for coffee to discuss our situation, what we were looking for, etc. and he was upfront and honest and said he doesn't specialize in the area and would refer us to someone else who does (so a couple things here. 1. I know he gets a cut of the commission from referring me to someone else. 2. It says a lot more that he's willing to give up the full commission, which is a a decent chunk of money, to have me work with someone else). I appreciated the feedback and kept in touch with him.
When it came time to sell our place, Alex had me work with his associate James Yang. Alex was going to be on paternity leave at the time so he started the process and helped out answering questions and allaying concerns we had with the sale. We had already bought a place and wanted to sell quickly while getting a good price and James/Alex put together a game plan and got our house sold in under 3 weeks. It was critical to get the maximum price without leaking any information about us closing on another property and they did it. That review from Alvin L. is bogus about a 50% rebate. I don't know of any agents who would want to give out a 5-10k rebate for a 5 star review. If they did, they would probably be out of business.
Overall, I trust Alex's real estate insight and his honesty throughout the process. He's kept in touch with us and is out to do what's best in our interests. If you have any doubts, just chat with Alex over coffee and form your own opinion. He's a stand up guy and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. -

We were interested in purchasing our first home with my wife and I and was referred to Alex by our family and friends. Immediately upon working with him, I could tell that his professionalism, friendliness, and more importantly his dedication to relationships stood out to me over other realtors.
We were extremely satisfied with our experience, and with focusing on our search for a townhouse in the competitive Palo Alto and Mountain View/Los Altos areas, we were very happy with our home purchase. Throughout the process Alex was constantly updating us, demonstrated keen knowledge of the market and the best possible way to position us as buyers. For us as 1st time homeowners, he walked us through each step in a dedicated manner. Finding a place that we were very interested in, Alex and his team did everything possible to position us for the house. This including such things as having the head of his affiliate real estate company contact the seller's real estate agent to advocate for us. In the end, the house had multiple offers and we were fortunate to have our offer accepted, in large part to Alex's knowledge, relationships, and reputation in the field. I am not sure if this would have been possible with his help.
Our relationship did not end there, as Alex was equally as diligent in the escrow process as well as advice that extends beyond the home purchase.
What separates Alex and Rainmaker from other agents is his dedication to relationships. His commitment is to cultivating his clients' relationships long term in which we are excited to work with him in the future. -

I don't like real estate agents; they tend to be dishonest people who are only interested in the commission they get when they sell or buy your home. Working with Alex was different though. We had Alex short-sell our condo and he made the process as easy and pain-free for us as possible. We heard horror stories about how long it takes to get rid of a short-sale home. But lo and behold, Alex worked his magic and was able to find a buyer in a matter of a month or two. He made things as stress-free as possible for us. Our only task was to clean out our place while he hired people to scrub out our place. We were worried that there might be taxes involved or that we would have to pay a few thousands out of our pockets, but Alex and his team made sure we didn't have to worry about anything.
Both my husband and I had a bad taste for real estate agents thanks to the sleazy agent who sold this condo to us and claimed that everything was in stellar condition. (Hello, Liar!) Alex has changed this distaste for us, besides being honest, he is definitely knowledgeable about the real estate department. Alex comes prepared during the initial meeting and has great advice on getting us the best value for our property.
One thing which stood out to me which makes Rainmaker different from other companies is that they rely on word of mouth instead of advertisements. With all the clients Rainmaker has, it definitely says something how they run their business. Also, they donate back to the community which is nice. We will definitely use Alex and Rainmaker for future homes (buying and selling). -

You might probably think this would be another Rainmaker's customer review...the truth is, I am not right now, but I am sure I will need Alex's help when I need to buy my next home within the area! I just wanted to share with other yelpers about our experience with Alex during our re-finance process.
It all happens last year when we finally wish to re-finance our house and wish Alex to help us. Alex personally came over to our place and thoroughly went through all the necessary steps before we head to a new low rate loan. The he realized that our loan would be much in advantage to us if done by one of his preferred loan consultants. So, he guided us and helps us to prepare our paper works and see if his referral can help us with the re-finance process. Unfortunately, we ended up need to head back to our own bank for that adjustments based on our unique situation. Long story short, our refinance process went almost seven months in length. Believe me, it was a tough journey during this process. Thank goodness that we were not alone during these seven months. Alex persistence help and suggestions was the key during this bumpy process.
Just need to clarify that, even until now, we are not one of Alex's customers or his clients (yet). Even he went through all the paper works and night meetings. He could have charged us for all the works he done for us. But I believe Alex prefer to have a better client relationship with us more than just another home sales transaction. From now on, we can assure that Alex would be our top pick when we need a house. We are so appreciate the cares and time that he sacrificed for us during our bumpy re-finance process. Thanks Alex! -

I consider myself lucky to be the latest of many satisfied customers of Rainmaker. I worked with Alex and Edmund from the get-go, and they were proactive in suggesting places and new developments for me in my price range and preferred areas (Palo Alto/Mountain View). The fact that they have good relationships with many of the local developers also helps especially in such hot housing markets as these.
One might think that with so many five star reviews, they're in demand, busy and overstretched but I never got that impression; they made time for me and my family and explained every step of the process. Alex took the time from his busy schedule to grab coffee with me even months before I was ready to buy to explain the 101s of home buying, financial preparation, etc.
Edmund was point person for me in negotiating and was able to get the price down on a new condo by a very significant percentage, and give good advice not just in terms of negotiation, financing, but also things like what options to buy from the builder and which ones to get after-market. Alex recommended many contractors who've likewise done a tip-top job, so indeed, the care from them happens even after you sign the closing papers and get your keys.
All in all, the relationships that Alex and company seek to build, cultivate, maintain -- both with their potential and current customers and with developers, contractors, mortgage folks, etc. -- are what really inspire me, and serve as a model for me in my own professional and personal realms. -

Remember the adage "you get what you pay for?" Having studied various real estate transactions within my circle of friends, and comparing it to my own experience, I would have to say that this holds true, even in this e-everything day and age, in the real estate business.
Having come from a real estate family, which contains commercial appraisers, brokers, real estate agents, and residential appraisers, we see all the time how people who may only buy a house 2-3 times in their lifetime get screwed by those who operate in the business day to day. So, I was determined to find good representation that knows the local market, financial conditions, and the buying/selling dynamics of the other real estate agents or homebuilders in this area. After meeting Alex and interviewing him, I felt I had found just the broker I was looking for. My broker dad concurred, which is a great stamp of approval!
In my two transactions (buying a distressed newly built property with a complicated bank-ownership situation and selling a property that had been in a fire but newly rebuilt) Alex was able to use technology, know-how and negotiations skills to fully inform me of all possible issues, while obtaining a great price. For example, based on the selling prices of the other properties within my neighborhood, it appears we were the only buyers to obtain a discount.
Do you think you can easily win a court case representing yourself or obtaining a cut-rate lawyer when your opposition has a top flight lawyer? Then I'm not sure why you think you'll know enough about real estate market dynamics to negotiate against well represented counterparts. Do yourself a favor and consider this thoughtful, prepared and savvy group as your representation when you next contemplate a real estate transaction! -

Rainmaker Properties has surpassed my expectations of real estate professionalism.
Finding a home, speaking on your behalf, and closing the deal is something I expect from competent real estate agencies. What I didn't expect is Alex's passion and commitment to make sure you are satisfied with the home you buy.
Two Examples:
1) As first-time home buyers, my wife and I were very nervous and scared. Alex figuratively holds your hand through every step of the home-buying process. He told us what to expect at every stage, how the real estate industry works, what to say and not to say when you're interested in a home, etc. It's quite overwhelming to learn about home-buying but Alex was very patient and helpful with my endless questions and concerns.
2) Not until after my wife and I moved in our home did we realize that we missed some ugly marks on the bedroom walls. We didn't notice them earlier because the previous owner's picture frames and furniture covered the area upon inspection. We were disappointed to say the least since we would have to dish out more money to fix up the place. Without hesitation, Alex generously outsourced a painter to repaint our walls for us; it just shows that Alex really cares for his clients.
In the end, Alex and his team easily gained my trust and never abused it. I recommend Rainmaker Properties to all my loved ones and am looking forward to utilizing their services when my wife and I feel ready to move out of our splendid home. -

I love working with Alex. I never feel pushed and I feel he has my interests in mind first.
Several times I know Alex could have tried to persuade me to take a deal but he never did and in fact he often advised me to try to go lower even though that would risk his making a commission.
He has my highest recommendation.
Update: September 8, 2011
We recently completed selling our home and buying another home. The long story short I think Alex saved us tens of thousands of dollars. Our old home sold for well over our asking price. We bought our new home for well under the asking price.
In both cases Alex was able to correctly evaluate the market to put us in the best position for success.

I worked with Alex Wang back in 2004-05 since he was the basically the management/landlord of the house we rented. Although he represented the owner, as the renter of the house - we were very happy with the service and treatment he provided for us. It was almost as though he represented us.
He is very professional and helpful during the entire time since then. I would still go to him for references and he willingly acknowledges our past business.
One of the most impressive attributes of Alex is that he is really genuine. He doesn't treat you just like a "client", he goes out of his way to make sure you're comfortable and will explain the real estate business fo you. Bottom line, he knows his business, is really professional and you will appreciate his work and his friendship. It's very reassuring to know that he really is a person you can trust. -

I was looking for properties to purchase in Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Mission, and surrounding areas this past February (Feb. 11 to be exact) and since I am a snowbird (going to US because of long Canadian winter) I asked around. Alex Wang came highly recommended and was in my shortlist of realtors. I then made calls and inform him on what price range and requirements I was looking for re - properties and politely asked him to send me (e-mail) properties that fitted those criteria.
Perhaps there's miscommunication, miscalculation or other reasons that e-mail didn't arrive until we finally met and even then he seemed to be very busy allocating (as I recall) about three to four hours of time.
Overall, Alex was hard to reach and overworked, and coming from real estate developer background myself, I can say if he is a realtor in a hot market like Vancouver, Canada and he perform the way I just mentioned and much more he will not last very long in Vancouver or Toronto, Canada. He grossly miscalculated that I am some small fish and this is just some scouting exercise of some sort and thus a waste of time. I finally purchased a few properties on my own with assistance of real estate lawyers but I was disappointed about this whole experience especially since he was highly recommended and received great reviews on Yelp and other sites.Comment from Alex H. We found Alex through a referral, and he did not disappoint with our recent home sale. His team set clear timelines and milestones, all of which were met. He has dedicated staff that takes care each aspect of the home sale process. For example, there was a gentleman who handled all the paperwork, contracts, and nitty gritty details. Another guy strictly took care of all the marketing efforts. And Alex really was the master mind behind the sale - he provided us insightful market intelligence, and negotiated the best sales price possible for us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex and hire him again!

This is my 2nd 5 star rating post, and i'm proud to say i wish there was more stars i can give.
We knew a few good friends that have bought and sold their property through Rainmaker, so didnt hesitate to give Alex a call. Our requirement was to sell the home quickly, so were open to dressing up the home as much as we could to get it on the market. Upon our first meeting, Alex was professional from the start, giving us realistic expectations of all our requests. He came prepared with statistics of comparable homes in our area, with a few options on how we should approach the strategy to sell to the audience. He was friendly, professional, and non-biased in his responses, but mostly it was hearing that 10% of all commission will go directly to a charity of choice. This is a rare and unheard of approach for any other agencies i've heard of, so i knew from a start that Rainmaker was not money hungry. So we decided to sign a contract with them.
Given our aggressive preparation period, Alex lined up carpet cleaning, house cleaning, staging, appliance replacement, video editing, advertising, paperwork, and any other details in a very short time. Within 2 weeks, we were ready to post and have open house. The video work was done really well, and it made our home look more livable than it was before we moved in. He was straightforward about estimated vendor rates, and for the situations where we went slightly over, Rainmaker volunteered to pick up the cost difference. We felt like Rainmaker worked FOR us, and wanted us to have the best selling experience possible.
Our home took slightly over a month to get an offer, but Alex and team kept us updated whenever they had any kind of leads. During the sale pending process, Rainmaker kept us out of any discussions and concerns that they were dealing with behind the scenes. This made us feel confident that things were being taken care of, and only stepping in when they need something directly from us. As promised, everything closed within the expected 30 days, and we got everything back that we were promised early on.
One specific success story: We had the unfortunate incident of our hot water heater leaking the night before our second open house. We were away from the area, so alex called around the first available reputable water heater company to get an inspection. Turns out it needed a replacement, so we had the plumber come out early on that day. Alex was onsite, worked out the details, and even gave my wife a ride to her appointment while i stayed back with the plumber to assist. The situation was resolved at the end of the day, but it was Alex and his team's quick response and persistance to work around the open house situation during the emergency.
In summary, if you havent found a buyer/seller agent yet and need one, don't look any further. -

We only worked with Alex on the back-end of a purchase of our first home. He took over from our realtor at some critical point. Our experience with Alex was relatively short - but rather interesting.
Alex is just a great helper - we called him when we were stuck with another realtor from his office. He stepped in really fast, understood the situation, and gave us immediate help when most needed.
Through dealing with Alex, we could see he listens and understands what we want. He quickly acts in our best interest. We can see that he is on our side. We trusted him and let him work the final details of the sale.
Alex is a great realtor - highly recommended. We would want him to help us if we ever want to sell or purchase a home again.

We had the pleasure of working with Kris Suh and Alex Wang of Rainmaker Properties, to help sell our Cupertino home.
We decided to go with Rainmaker versus other realtors because they are "different". We were really attracted to how they define themselves and how they show it. They understand they are part of a community and everything is relationship based. The sweetest part was the fact that they donate a portion of their commission to the charity of your choice.
Kris and Alex helped us with oh-so-critical list price for our home. It can be an extremely uncomfortable discussion, but they helped us through the process by sorting through all the current and past closed listings. We then analyzed other listings' attributes (location, quality, uniqueness, days listed...). We then discussed what we wanted vs. how the home should be listed. "What we want" is the price that we would be happy with. "The list price" could be low to stir up competing offers or high knowing that the buyers are looking for deals.
Next came the "magic" of Rainmaker ... the house was patched and painted, wonderfully staged, photographed, virtual tour'd, marketed and listed in less than three weeks. If you've sold a house before, you'll realize how crazy fast this was.
Lastly, most importantly, we had multiple offers in the first 24hrs and accepted an offer within 3 days.
Kris and Alex were great at helping us with the closing, which has become much more challenging during this economic period. They helped to babysit and to smooth out the issues that were on the buyer's side. They calmed our nerves and kept us up to date at every step and prepared us for the various possibilities.
We are incredibly happy clients and would love to work with them again in the future. -

My fiancee and I found Alex randomly on Yelp after we happened to see an awesome open house and wanted to put in an offer on short notice (it was a good deal, and we knew there would be multiple offers, even in this economy).
We first emailed him on a Sunday night, met with him on Monday night, and by Tuesday our offer was ready & submitted. Over the next month we learned why Alex gets unanimous 5-star ratings on Yelp--he's super honest, knows his stuff, is an excellent negotiator/strategizer, is tech-savvy, explains things patiently, works very hard, and has lots of good local contacts. Instead of adding more praise of Alex's amazing interpersonal and negotiation skills to those of other reviewers, I'll speak to his more technical skills. Quite simply, Alex knows EXACTLY what he's doing. Every page of every contract and form was clear to him, and every aspect of home ownership, from sump pumps to lead paint, was considered on our behalf as if he were the one buying the house. Having studied both structural engineering and real estate law, I would have known if he were being evasive or just plain wrong, and I never once got the sense that he was being dishonest or glossing over details that might cause us to walk away.
While all real estate agents pledge to act in the best interest of their clients, Alex truly does so. In the month and a half that it took for escrow to close, we felt continually supported. There were never a sense of "Oh, their deal is going to close soon anyway, and they're not going to back out, so let me go pay attention to other clients instead." Being detailed-oriented, we must have asked Alex thousands of questions, each of which was patiently and thoroughly answered. When he wasn't absolutely certain of the answer, he made sure to find out.
From his working with us on his "days off" so that we would meet our deadlines to his negotiating on our behalf down to the tens of dollars, Alex is a rare find in the real estate business. He will definitely be our first call the next time we have a real estate transaction! -

I strongly recommend Rainmaker Properties. I hired them to sell my home in the Silicon Valley area in July of 2008. They were very professional and patiently walked me through each step of the home-selling process. Even with the birth of first-born children (during the initial open house weekend!) and through escrow title company bankruptcies (while already 'in-escrow') the team was able to deliver!
It only took Rainmaker 10 days to sell my property! And this was during a very down period in Bay Area real estate. They could have sold in less than a week if they did not have my best interests in mind. With each decision, they would offer sound, knowledgeable advice, but also listen and execute to my needs. The end result was a fair and quick sale in a very tough market environment. The day after we closed, several comparable properties hit the market (and have been listing for several weeks now).
The team delivered top-notch marketing materials including creation of a stand-alone web-site for my property with high resolution photos and "virtual tours". They marketed my property on several other web sites and through other internet mediums such as social networks, blogs and through traditional e-mail campaigns. Additionally, they sent out traditional mailers and printed out several marketing flyers with glossy photos. They also have strong networks throughout the Bay Area professional real estate/broker community. In addition, the team was very accessible (by e-mail, text, phone, in-person meetings) and always available to take my call. -

I strongly recommend Alex and his team. I worked with Alex, Edmund and Peggy. They helped make my "first-home" buying experience very smooth and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Rainmaker Properties for their professionalism, knowledge & experience, and dedication to making your experience a good one.
Professionalism - Everytime, Always on time. Whether it was meeting up to look at a place, sign documents, etc. they were always on time. When something needed to be researched, I had an answer extremely fast. Peggy especially was very responsive to all of my questions.
Knowledge & Experience - priceless... Three short stories...
The first I saw of this was when we were checking out some new townhomes. They were very knowledgeable about the "features" of the model homes that were upgrades, and even features in the models that weren't even available upgrades.
When I found the house I wanted, it turned out to be a Bank Owned foreclosure. But it was already in contract, Edmund and Peggy provided solid advice about what we had to do to have a shot at getting the house. About how the banks think, and the experiences they've had in the past with bank properties. Thanks to their advise and guidance we were able to our offer accepted on a house that already was in contract.
During closing when I was signing docs, Alex and Peggy were right there to again answer any questions I had during the close. They also made sure everything was in order and looked right. First thing was the home warrenty, they made sure that I got the maximum coverage agreed upon in the original contract. Another one was Alex's knowledge of the area that the house was in. One of the line items on the closing docs was the city transfer tax, but he was sure that Santa Clara did not have a transfer tax. After some quick phone calls, the line item was removed. I wouldn't have known any better and just paid the money upfront. That was $1000 right there! Alex and his team are definitely always on their game.
Dedication to Making your Experience Great - My experience mattered to them. They were there each step of the way making sure I was doing well, and that I had all my questions answered. It didn't take long for me to get comfortable with them to ask all the questions I had. Peggy made sure that she was there with me during the inspections. I also had to pay for some HOA documents, and in the end she negotiated after the fact to have the seller pay for them.
On the day that I got my keys, before I could even call to rekey the property, Alex went ahead and arranged for a locksmith to rekey it. The place also didn't come with garage door openers, so Alex made sure to pick up a pair of garage door openers for me.
They weren't kidding when they said they'd be there every step of the way. -

Alex Wang and Edmund Yue helped me purchase my first home, a nice old townhome in a nook in Sunnyvale. I proved to be a somewhat difficult client to follow as it seemed my preferences were all over the place (I seem to know what I want only when I see it (vs being able to visualize it)), yet they were always flexible and immediately responsive. They were patient with my questions and answered them as best they could. Even after the actual closing transactions had completed they took the time out to check up on me, which shows that they extend their care and services beyond the mere sale transaction.

Alex Wang is a very personable individual, who makes the time to get to know you on a personal level. He is truly genuine in his character of being a friendly and caring individual, who makes time out to help others in need. While I have not had to employ his services from Rainmaker Properties to date, he would definitely be someone that I would recommend to a friend or family member looking for realtor whom someone could count on to help them smoothly through the purchase or selling of their home.

Alex is a good friend but that did not persuade our decision to ask him to represent us. We had spoke with other agents and even took some referrals. Of all the agents/brokers we talked to, Alex was the most upfront and, more importantly, he is the most honest. He has been there at every step and he is still there to give us advice. He is truly our lifelong agent and I appreciate not only our business relationship but his friendship as well.

Alex is a good friend, so we knew we'd be in good hands if he was our real estate agent. Unfortunately our target area was out of his covered vicinity, so he referred us to Edmund Leung of Coldwell Banker. Edmund was the right person for us since he is familiar with SSF. Although Edmund was our main agent, Alex would check in occasionally to make sure everything was fine. When Edmund was out of town once, Alex drove all the way up here to show us a property. We really appreciate his care for us and highly recommend his services!

I met with Alex and several other realtors when deciding who to list our condo with this spring. He has a very reassuring manner and is very confident in his team's ability to get things done. I didn't go through Alex and his team at first because when my parents were here, we were looking and weren't thinking of putting any down payment. But, i guess my parents like the place and have decided to put the down payment. That was a year ago.
Recently with the housing market down tune and credit crisis, i wanted to either cancel my house and get my deposit back, or negotiate a price. Alex was kindly working with me even thought he knows he won't get any referral fee and also have assigned one of his best man, Jay Sul. He was delicately working with me and email back and forth with the options i have. Because of Alex and his teammate, Jay, I was able to settle a better unit, free upgrade and lower the price.
Such agents exist in this market is like friendships that will always last, forever and ever. And i am glad that they helped me, or else i don't think i will have a home today.
Even after, Alex with his kindly weekly/monthly newsletter about the market, how to take care houses and others, i really appreciate his effort putting into it. No one that i know are doing it.
His effort and skills proof that he has the experiences and superior in this business. I would totally recommend him. -

Alex helped me navigate buying my very first home during a highly odd time in the real estate market. I am HUGE on customer service since I run my own customer service focused business professionally and I have to say that Alex and his team, including Christine and Edmund, were always happy to answer questions quickly and professionally -- and always with a smile, which for me, goes a long way.
It took me about a year to find the perfect home since I'm extremely picky and Alex had stuck with me the entire time, always attentive and always searching and trying different options that would fit my very particular tastes. I searched the Bay Area far and wide looking for my oasis in the real estate desert and finally, after almost giving up my search, I found THE perfect home which I am so happy to be in. The home neighbored another home that I had seen with Alex but didn't get because of other factors and before it even hit the market for a day, Alex notified me of my ideal home becoming available and arranged it so I could see it before the open house. We moved quickly with an offer and got the home for 10K less than what it appraised for, hooray, instant value! Because Alex helped me move so quickly, our offer was accepted before the open house where we found there was another offer that had went over asking but they didn't move as quickly as us.
Alex's company helped organize inspections and other important things like finances and signings all digitally, which for me, is like a God-send. Since I am very busy professionally and socially, not having to drive back and forth at random times during weekdays/working hours to sign off on things here and there was so very convenient. It's so much easier to do online, which Alex's company allows for so I am very thankful for that. I like working with good heart-ed, competent people and Alex has assembled a team of such. A home is a very personal thing and Alex helped integrate a service that was the perfect combination of working with someone you could call a friend as well as someone you feel confident in professionally. -

When almost everyone you know has a real estate license or has a real estate agent that they would like to recommend to you, how do you find the right one? Well my husband and I knew Alex was the right one after interviewing several real estate agents. We were looking for someone to help us buy our first home together as a married couple.
After meeting with Alex, we decided that we wanted to work with him almost immediately. What sets Alex apart from the rest is that he is very genuine and passionate about his work. He owns his own business and takes pride in his work. He is also very honest and patient. I am a first time home buyer and I've learned over the past several months that buying a home can be an emotional roller coaster. Alex is very responsive and is always there to answer any questions that may arise and will explain the entire home buying process to you. He never pressures you into buying a home but waits until you've found the house that you can picture yourself in for years to come. I think a good real estate agent is an advocate who has your best interests at heart. Alex is definitely an advocate that you want on your side.
We are still searching for the house that we want to want to grow old in. I'm sure with the assistance of Alex, we will find that house soon. I would highly recommend Alex to my friends and family! -

This is my 1st review on Yelp and it's unsolicited, so that tells you something about this review to begin with. Finding a realtor who is honest, ethical and always on your side is like finding the perfect house. It's really hard!
My wife and I talked to quite a few realtors before we decided on choosing Alex to help us find a new home. Unlike some realtors who focus on "high end clients" or "volume clients"; Alex is all about the 1:1 relationship and is devoted to his clients.
Some realtors show you 100 homes hoping you're pick one but that can totally waste your time. Alex was able to figure out what we were looking for rather quickly so he could pre-filter the homes for us.
I've worked with other realtors and they are also extremely good but I would have to put Alex on the top of my list. A good realtor should be knowledgable and will save you time and money. However, a great realtor will give you honest advice that is in your best interest.
Alex is a great realtor and we would highly recommend him in a heartbeat. Regardless who you end up choosing for a realtor, just remember you want a realtor who has your best interest at heart. -

My wife and I just bought our first home with Alex's help. Prior to choosing Alex as our agent, we met with several other realtors. Ultimately we chose Alex because he was not the typical real estate agent. He seemed more like someone we'd actually want to hang out with, who happened to also know a lot about buying homes. We spent a lot of time with Alex, looked at a lot of houses, and never felt like he was rushing us or pushing us into anything. When we finally did find our house and made an offer, Alex did everything to make the process effortless. We would definitely recommend Alex to any of our friends.

Alex Wang helped us buy our first home, and we were and are thrilled with the experience. He held our hands through the shopping phase, spending lots of time taking us to places that fit what we described we wanted.
When it came time to place an offer he actually took us to the offer presentation with him, and that, along with his professionalism and his coaching on making the offer, won us our home (there had been multiple offers).
The most impressive thing about Alex is that his work for you does not end when the sale goes through! He sends newsletters once every month or two with useful information, he answers questions about home-owning. He even has gone out of his way to help us with an issue we've been having with our heating unit! I've been recently disappointed by poor service from another company in a different sector where they wouldn't even return an e-mail after their 'job' had been done, and Alex is the polar opposite.
Lastly, when you meet him you can see that he really cares about doing a good job because he wants you to be happy and he wants to serve you. I strongly recommend him! -

Alex is a great real estate agent and true professional. Although I live in Southern California and he works in Northern California, I still sought his consultation on various home buying issues. He is very knowledgeable and detail oriented and provided me with helpful info. He also referred me to an outstanding real estate agent in Southern California.

Alex is awesome. Great negotiation skills, knows his stuff, uses technology to make things more efficient, fun to work with, and always available via email. I found the purchase process to be surprisingly smooth & painless because of Alex.
Our situation was kind of unique. We weren't seriously looking, we weren't pre-approved, didn't have an agent, and generally didn't know what the hell we were doing because we were first-time homebuyers. However, we found the perfect house one day and decided to go for it.
We Yelped for an agent and found Alex. Arranged to meet him at a Starbucks for an interview. He showed up prepared with comparables and details on the place we were interested in, including the fact that there was already a bid, even though it had only been on the market for 5 days.
15 minutes after our Starbucks interview ended, we called him back and asked him to make an offer for us. Even though it was such a short turnaround time, he got everything arranged quickly & efficiently. This included planning around the fact that I had to leave on a business trip the next day. Despite the fact that there was a bidding war and everything was rushed, we got the place, thanks in part to Alex's negotiation skills and professionalism.
Alex also held our hand through the purchasing process and helped us find a banker who was also an underwriter (which made the loan approval process faster). He walked us through the mountains of legal documents, pointed out details that we never would have caught, and answered all our inane questions. Throughout the entire process, he was always very quick to answer our emails & texts.
