Best pizzeria & restaurant in the area.

Sweet Sicilian goodness!!!
Growing up, I was not a huge fan of Sicilian slices (I mean, I want my pizza in a triangle not a square lol). But, Aldo's sweet-tasting pizza was always there to knock some sense back into me.Listed in: My NYC Stars, Mama Mia!

I've been living in California for several years now and was just so effing stoked to see someone actually HAND TOSS my pizza.
Have I had better pizza in my life? Yes.
But we were on the way to JFK for a flight, this was off the traffic ridden belt pkwy and hell yeah it did the job. It was 'real' pizza. Not chicken southwestern thai bullsh*t like they serve in California rolled with a rolling pin. And it was the same price as an 'individual size' pie in California for one so large my husband and I couldn't even eat half. -

I'll preface this by saying that I feel bad for people who have grown up going to Aldo's Pizza.
The only reason that I even set foot in this pizza place is because I was dropping a friend off who lives in the neighborhood. Walking in, it's like you've stepped into the 1950's. A little old man, who apparently is "Aldo" himself, was screaming and rushing around, making patrons and employees uncomfortable.
The food is mediocre at best, but the prices are considerably lower than comparable pizza places.
The bottom line is that Aldo's will get you by in a pinch, but isn't to be relied or sought out. -

I grew up going to Aldo's Pizza. I haven't been here in years, but have so many good memories of eating here, I'd be remiss not to review it and give it five stars because this place serves up some seriously fabulous Italian food...not to mention some of the best pizza (the Sicilian!) I have ever had. Christ, pizza flashbacks!!!
It makes me miss my grandparents because we'd go there with them on at least a monthly basis. -

Aldo's pizza is canonical by-the-slice pizza. It's in the dictionary next to "pizza". The cheese is oily, the sauce is sweet, and it's basically exactly what you expect it to be.
I used to date a guy in Ozone Park who was in a basement band. One year for his birthday, they ordered in a bunch of Aldo's pizzas and then played an amazing set, way better than what they could usually manage. I still have the tape (yes, a tape!) labeled "High on Aldo's". Good times. -

Not really a big fan, not knocking them, but it would be last choice of pizzerias, a friend asked me to go there once, and I say they ok, but not to recommend it to anyone. But, they do have a client base who praise them..

The slices here are pretty decent. I live in the area and come here but mostly for the Chicken Parm heroes, stuff like that. I also really like the Chicken Roll (it is really big and it is $5.00). Like I said, the pizza is great but maybe not on the level as Gino's. A close second though in the neighborhood.

Pizza slices are authentic ny style...good cheese slices....garlic knots were good, I dipped them in the tomato sauce. Definitely good. Would go back if in the area to try some other entrees.

i love this place, pretty good sicilian, and i'm not all over the whole sicilian thing. i'd rather go to new park when in the area, but it's an ok subsitute.

not a huge fan of this place although I've eaten there a bunch of times because it was convenient at those times... it depends what you order
